Lovely place to stay, glorious scenery and great walks
This is the only hostel in the UK that meets the general standard and offers the same value as a typical European Hostel. All other Hostels should see it is a benchmark for operation. I am sure that without it many individuals, and many young families, would not be able to enjoy the Peaks. As far as I'm concerned this Hostel provides a public service, and should always be maintained with its present value, quality, and mature and respectful ethos.
One of the best hostel I've been in! Everything you need can be found there in a beautiful, historic and cosy old hall! Only downside is that it is hard to get around in the area (even though the area is worth seeing!), a bus gets here from Buxton otherwise hitchhiking or renting a bike is how I managed.
Although the cafe was closed the staff were very professional in a poor situation
Loved my stay, great location and friendly people everywhere.

Amazing place in the country. It is a beautiful hostel with a lot of history.
Excellent hostel with excellent staff. Had room to myself which made it expensive compared to b&b, but enjoyed it none the less
Overall, a pretty good hostel. Well situated and with lovely staff. The food was delicious, though a bit expensive for the area. I'd happily stay again.
Only stayed one night great food on offer just what was needed after a long day on the bike.
