Sol De Minca

+ False advertisement at it's best, this location is dark, no where near Minca. I arrived at night and they did not even have a light outside so people can actually see where they are going. There are about 50 steep steps to get to the place, which I did not intend to climb in darkniss. Mind you they did charge my credit card.

+ location and area was beautiful

- Dogs barked all night keeping me awake for 3 nights. As it was very humid, having a tiny fan was not enough to be comfortable. The staff was not friendly to me at all. one of my worse lodging experiences ever.

+ Beautiful location and buildings and views

- The staff messed up our taxi to the airport so we missed our flight. We checked and reminded them every five minutes but they simply didn’t communicate with the taxi who was waiting for 20 minutes for us while we were waiting for the staff to let us know. The staff apologized but ghosted us when we asked them to pay the penalty the airline charged to take a later flight :(

+ Nous avons apprécié la structure de l’hébergement, le fait que ce soit en pleine nature et isolé

- Le fait qu’il y ait des travaux juste sous le balcon avec 6 personnes qui travaillaient et passaient d’un côté et l’autre de notre hébergement, en contradiction avec la quiétude promise des lieux et son aspect privé.

+ La tranquilidad y el espacio natural.

- Para subir las escaleras no es fácil menos con niñas como fuimos nosotros, el camino para volver del pueblo por la montaña es bastante complicado más aún que no encendían las luces por la noche y no se veía nada,

+ Great view and great for wild life we saw many amazing birds including a Toucan which was brilliant and not what we expected to see from our balcony , we also saw aguti

- The steps from the road to reception were tough the steps from the eception / dining area were to our cabin. were tough - the steps from our cabin through through Jungle Joes to Minca were a killer and I really need to share this - it's not a 10 minute walk to Minc a It's more like 15 - doing it in the dark is not something we even contemplated - however the food on site is lovely so we lunched in Minc a and did a small up and down trip in the evening

+ Construcciones muy bonitas y eco. Personal agradable. Desayuno.

- Mosquiteras cortas. Entraban muchos insectos en la habitación y en la cama. Hacía calor.

+ Fijn verblijf gehad en mooi om te zien hoe ze zelf alles hebben opgebouwd. Ontbijt was lekker en de kamers zijn erg mooi.

- We hadden iets meer verwacht van de faciliteiten. Zo was er bijvoorbeeld geen yoga.

+ La relación alojamiento-naturaleza. Presentan muy bien un lugar para desconectarte un poco.

- Poca oferta de actividades para realizar, ya que al estar ubicado lejos del pueblo, quizás podrían ofrecer mas posibilidades para las personas.

+ La philosophie du respect de la nature et des traditions autochtones, l'accueil, l'attention au détails. On se sentait la bienvenue et ça se sentait que c'est un établissement familial. C'était très zen. Les déjeuners et la vue était magnifique.

+ El lugar es increíble, se tiene una conexión con la naturaleza de otro nivel, de hecho los nativos de la Sierra lo consideran como un lugar sagrado. La energía de ahí es de paz y tranquilidad espontánea, además los anfitriones son excelentes personas, súper amables. Además los materiales con los que está hechas los cuartos 10 de 10, sientes que te quedas dormido en la casa del árbol... Y encontrarás los mejores atardeceres y amaneceres. La comida de ahí también es super rica, un excelente lugar para quedarse al menos un fin de semana

- Nada, todo estuvo increíble, pero debes considerar que estas entre la naturaleza, es normal encontrarse pájaros, aves, monos, a veces hormigas, pero todas las áreas comunes y habitación están protegidas

- Bisschen Abwechslung beim Frühstück hat gefehlt (nach einer Woche) und der Weg ist anstrengend ins Dorf, aber zu Not kann man ein Mototaxi nehmen.

+ Todo es hermoso, un lugar muy acogedor en medio de la naturaleza, muy limpio todo y el personal muy amable .

+ Espacios amplios, en un lugar rodeado de selva con vistas hermosas desde los espacios comunes. Ideal para descansar y ver pajaros de todos colores. La habitación compartida comoda, con mosquitero en todas las camas (la escalera podria ser mas ancha, nada mas 😅). Los baños estan limpios siempre, y al ser abierto permite buena ventilación. Es baño seco, pero es incluso mas higienico que el tradicional siendo compartido. Ofrecen agua potable gratis, los desayunos son muy ricos al igual que el resto de la comida, con una carta variada y precios razonables. El staff increible!!

- Es solo para aclarar, para acceder al alojamiento hay que subir unos cuantos escalones, que puede ser cansador pero las vistas valen la pena. Todo el alojamiento se comunica por escaleras, por lo cual no seria indicado para personas con movilidad reducida. Y otra aclaración, la cocina cierra temprano porque el personal vive en el pueblo, asi que hay que planificar la cena o buscarla en Minca que esta a 20 min caminando

+ Healthy breakfast sourced from local ingredients, a clean bedroom with mosquito nets, the most amazing view of the forest from shower, but most importantly, a quiet and peaceful ecologically sustainable environment. One of the few accommodations I’ve stayed in which I genuinely did not want to leave!

+ Die Gastgeber Familie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

+ Accueil fabuleux, endroit magique où l'on se sent immédiatement détendu. Le réveil en pleine nature, au chant des milliers d'oiseaux. La nourriture saine et délicieuse.

- On entend quand même le bruit de la route. Descendre les valises sur ces nombreuses marches

+ L'emplacement, au milieu de la nature, l'accueil impeccable, très bon petit déjeuner, attention à ne pas oublier vos clés dans la chambre hahahah, sinon tout était parfait !

- Si vienes con maletas es bastante duro al tener muchísimos escalones y la carta algo corta

+ Sol de Minca is a wonderful place! Probably my new favourite hostel! The location is amazing, the food is fantastic, and the hosts are super nice and accommodating!

- Honestly I can't think of anything. Maybe just having access to use a basic kitchen would have made it even better.

+ The location is wonderful and the team is really great, friendly from the start and incredibly helpful. It’s the best place I stayed in Minca. It’s a bit quieter than many other hostels and that was exactly why I was looking for. The breakfast was also really delicious. I would recommend it to everyone!

+ We booked last minute, and we’re so glad we did! We had a wonderful stay at Sol de Minca. All of the staff were so lovely and it was great to read about the history of the lodge. Our room had a beautiful separate bathroom and a wonderful balcony surrounded by birds. There is also a common area with hammocks and a great restaurant. We loved Minca and this was the perfect base!

- Lots of steep stairs are not for the faint hearted - but it’s worth it for the beautiful views
