Purely writing a review because I booked Crazy Bears because of their high rating and reviews. I do not understand how this hostel is rated so high. The staff are absolutely lovely, but that does not take away from the hostel. To begin with we had to stand on bed and manually change the aircon from fan to cool, when doing so it blew out a ridiculous amount of dirt/mold all over our bed. Then 1 of the 2 toilets available was missing a seat while the other one was covered in sh*t. The facilities w...

Kamers zijn echt veel te klein. Enorm veel geluidsoverlast s’avonds van een bar die er boven zit. Tot 1 uur ‘s nachts karaoke of techno muziek. Kon mijn tas niet neerleggen en in het kluisje paste ook niet veel. Tijdens mijn verblijf zonder water gezeten. Niet sociaal. Wat ver van de bewoonde wereld

Lo que se muestra en las fotos es totalmente diferente a la realidad. El hostel está en obras, mucho polvo por todos lados. No lo recomiendo si buscas algo más estético, pero tiene buena ubicación.

Meh no water pressure, Ac is terrible.. rooms dirty spiders all over. Not clean

well located hostel and staff lovely. option to rent scooters for 450 pesos per day which was great. room very clean and good aircon. only issues were it was next to the bar so a little loud until 11pm, and the showers were very low pressure and quite unclean when we used them each evening. otherwise would recommend

Was confused why this place got such good reviews! The staff are lovely but the dorms and showers/toilets are sooo run down they need a revamp! Very small communal area at the bar so nowhere else to chill if the weather isn’t good. WiFi is really good and loco is perfect for the area

Honestly I was surprised how highly rated this place was. The showers were horrible, tape around them to try and hold them together but was like showering under a hose. Toilets were grotty, broken or not flushing. Staff were lovely and helpful and the rooms were okay. No locks on any of the doors. Bit of a weird atmosphere, seemed to be a few locals, some lovely but some a bit ‘clicky.’ I was there for New Years and they didn’t do anything extra apart from what was scheduled for that day.

A great stay, it’s good social hostel with friendly guests and a nice bar area. You can get a good nights sleep aswell once the bar music shuts off at 11, the beds were pretty comfy. You can book tours and rent snorkelling gear and stuff from the front desk who were friendly.

Food was amazing. Staff was super knowledgeable and helpful. Location perfect. Sometimes the toilets ran out of toilet paper. People there were very friendly but it is a chill hostel. When I wanted a party vibe I joined the events put on by hat trick hostel and when I wanted peace and quiet I came home to crazy bears.

Very nice hostel, we had a wonderful time here. Only thing is that there could be more showers and toilets to share.

cute little hostel! i think it being on the smaller side makes it easier to meet people. Ford the bartender was such a lovely guy too, would defo stay again :)

We had a very great time at Crazy Bears. Especially Ford, the Bartender, is a very nice person and know how to animate people. We can recommend this Hostel to everyone.

Very comfy and convenient hostel in a perfect location. The staff make sure there's always something do if you want to meet people, but it's up to you if you want it to be social. Big shoutout to Ford and Sam for taking good care of me and having a good time!

I had a relly good stay. The hostel staff helped me out when my phone got dammaged and helped me with navigating and transport to a repair shop which was really good.

Good hostel but it was dirty in hostel bed. I had contact lenses left on the shelf next to my bed.

Great smoothie bowls! I though this was a crazy party hostel, luckily it wasn’t, it was quite the opposite, even lacked a bit of a social aspect. Which was okay because I got some good sleep! The hammocks in the garden were a big plus!! The staff is also very helpful.

Great hostel with attentive staff who help you regarding excursions or transfers. Dorm has everything you need. Shared bathroom outside and also nice bar with garden

One of the most fun and social hostels I’ve stayed at. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you arrive, and it’s incredibly easy to meet other people if you're solo travelling. A huge part of what makes this place special are the bartenders, Sam and Ford. They’re absolute legends- super friendly, great at what they do, and they organize social events every single day. Would definitely stay here again.

I had an excellent stay at Crazy Bear’s Hostel, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is unbeatable, with restaurants just steps away and popular spots like Chili Bar within easy walking distance. It made exploring the area effortless and enjoyable.
