Kasbah Red Castle Hostel

The rooftop terrace and the staff are nice. Besides that, it’s rated too highly. There was something off about the place and I wouldn’t recommend staying there.

The manager was rude and unhelpful. I booked a 6 bed dorm. He put in 10 bed dorm for two nights. The staff also put clothes in the trash 🗑️. Beware of this hostel bad vibes. The staff just sit on the phone all day and not help customer.

On arrival smell of weed. Smell in the rooms of insecticide. The place did not give a feeling of security or rest. There was a very strange energy. The breakfast was generous, the staff respectful.

Booked for the first time a female dorm and they just said it's fully booked and put me in a mixed dorm booked a second time a week later and they completely booked arrived at 9pm and didn't helped me or offering me a alternative i asked 2 times to make sure i get a bed he promised me (one week before) but NOT recommend this hostel!!

Too many bad things things about the hostel...ignore all the 3,4 and 5/5 reviews; they are fantasies! Look's nothing like a red castle, inside or out; can't use the kitchen, pool has no water, showers are horrible, rare to find TP, cant lock the rooms, no lockers (all backpacks and luggage have to lay on the floor, rooms very small and cramped, NO a/c, mgr. allows crazy/old and broke guys to check in and then stay for days! Water, coke and orange in frig but frig not ON, can't use the kitchen.

The hostel itself is nice, but one of the staff members made me feel very uncomfortable. He touched my back while showing me my room and one time wouldn’t let me go passed him and offered to brush my teeth. Ugh! I wish I would‘ve been brave enough to say something back then, but at least I can write a review. Stay safe female travelers!!! (It‘s the one who usually slept in the reception room with a blanket over his head)

Mi estancia en el hostal Kasbah Red Castle fue maravillosa. Las habitaciones y los baños están limpios. La azotea es genial. En general, el hostal tiene un ambiente muy relajado y es fácil conocer a otros mochileros. Las habitaciones son bastante pequeñas y estrechas, pero el wifi funciona bien para Nomad Digital. Rabiaa es el chico más amable del hostal. Es muy atento y servicial. Es muy simpático y agradable estar con él. Sin duda, recomiendo alojarse aquí.

I had an amazing stay at Kasbah Red Castle in Marrakech. The place is beautiful, clean, and very well located, perfect for enjoying the city. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, making you feel right at home. We were skeptical but honestly so worth it for what you are paying. Staff were lovely and the place was very clean and felt safe.

Great place to stay in Marrakech, right in the medina but far from the noice, great beds and clean place, amazing breakfast and rooftop, kind staff. Zak and Abdul was super friendly and helpful for everyone. If you're in marrakech this is the best place to stay for sure.

This Hostel is a good stay if you want to stay close to the center! Abdul was a very kind host! The rooms were clean and the staff was super friendly! The terrace has a beautiful view for sunrise and sunset. I will definitely be coming back here for my next visit in Marrakech!

Felt very safe. Multiple staff attend the hostel 24/7. English speaking, friendly staff which made the stay comfortable and fun. Beds were comfy enough. Quick showers are warm but longer showers sometimes goes cold. Everything else was great. Good wifi. Nice and quiet. Floor gets wet when it rains.

Booked a female dorm and was put in a dorm with men. Unable to sleep all night due to uncomfortable bed and snoring from the men (had paid for female dorm when booking)

This place was dirty, bed sheets not clean and had stains, room smelled like rotten eggs. Very confusing check in, made us pay in cash. Would NOT stay again

Smelled like sewage in our room, worker even gagged when he walked in. no locks on door only locked from the outside and no lock on front door either we just pushed it open. the lockers couldn’t fit anything, they were the size of a mailbox. blankets looked so old i was scared to use them. had two more nights there that were non-refundable but it was so gross and so unsafe that we decided to be put the money and book another place. type of thing i should’ve gotten a refund for anyway.

I’ve travelled a lot over the years and the red castle is by far my best hostel experience. The staff are amazing, Abdul, Rabi, and old mate who makes breakfast are incredibly helpful and fun. The rooftop was always the friendliest place with so many cool people lounging around for a chat. The facilities are basic of course, but a big breakfast for 2 euro and tea all day is amazing. There are three tortoises that live on the roof and cute cats hanging out. The vibes could not be higher!

Overall good hostel. There's an outdoor terrace on top like most riads. The rooms were small and the doors couldn't quite close but the bathrooms were clean and for a night it was great.

Very well-located hostel in a quiet and safe area of the medina! The dorm is quite rustic, so don’t expect too much (bedside lamps would be a huge +, people leave big headlamp super late), but it’s sufficient for 1/2 nights. The building echoes a lot, so it can be quite noisy which is not ideal if you’re a light sleeper. The location of the women’s showers and sinks does not allow much privacy either.
