Maya Hostel Berat

Worst experience of our lifes. We arrived at 16:30 pm and realized that one of the four beds in the room was broken. Most of the boards that supported the bed were broken, so the mattress was half in the floor and half on the rest of the boards. We told the staff about it and asked for them to fix it while we went touring around the city. We returned to the hostel at 21:00 pm and the staff had changed, so the new girl didn’t know about the broken bed and it obviously wasn’t fixed. Our roomma...

Curtains at bed was good. Bed light didn't work and wasn't fixed when noted upon. Not as good as the pictures. Not much of a social space, though out of season. Nice people working there.

Not really social at all. The common areas are far to spread out and it leads to no one talking to each other. Beds are too hard for my liking. Showers and toilets are fine. They have curtains for the beds and lockers. Breakfast was good. My advice is to stay at Hanna’s Hostel instead. Cheaper day trips and much better atmosphere. I ended up spending most of my time there.

Bon séjour

Hostel met een mooi uitzicht en een mooie locatie. We hadden geen code gekregen om binnen te komen 's avonds. Gelukkig werd er snel gereageerd op de chat via Google. Verder hing er een vreselijke geur in de kamer, wat steeds terugkwam, na het luchtten van de prive-kamer. Mogelijk uit de badkamer.

The volunteer staff at this hostel were really great and helped us out with any questions we had. That being said, there was never any hot water for showers, even tho we had our own tank in our bathroom? The location is out of the old town, which affords it great views of the Castle side.

property was lovely, location is across the river so it gets cold since no sunlight in winter. staff almost charged 3000euro instead of LKK for a trip. it's more like a hotel than a hostel, lacking in atmosphere. great if that's what you want a nice room to sleep in.

Nice hostel for the price, staff was super friendly! It would be nice if they would offer some social activities in the hostel, so it would be easier to meet people.

this hostel was great! The staff were helpful with things to do and in calling us a taxi. highly recommend!

Honestly one of my favorite hostel experiences! The staff was super nice, people were social and friendly, and it had a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor social space was great and the rooms/beds were comfortable. Also the breakfast was delicious!!

Lovely place in Berat, great for solo travellers with great and helpful staff. Nice facilities and breakfast provided. Would definitely stay again.

J'ai passé 2 nuits dans cet hostel et c'est super, juste les lits sont un peu mous. Friendly hostel, bons espaces communs et personnel sympa :)

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hostel mit zuvorkommenden Mitarbeitenden. Das Frühstück ist super und wird zwischen 8 und 10 Uhr angeboten. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und wir hatten auf unserem 8er Zimmer ein eigenes Bad mit Toilette und Dusche. Leider hatte nicht jedes Bett eine Steckdose und keine Ablage. Ansonsten war alles super, wir empfehlen es auf jeden Fall :)

We had a great time at Maya Hostel Berat. The volunteers were amazing, the room really clean and the location was perfect for us!

sitio perfecto, dispones de un comedor amplio donde poder relajarse, cocina con utensilios necesarios. El desayuno incluido está muy bien. Ha sido un acierto elegir este hostel.

Muy simpático el personal y una relación calidad precio excelente. Totalmente recomendable

brilliant place - kind of empty while I was there at the end of November (everywhere in Albania was empty), but the volunteers still added an atmosphere and made it a lovely place to be

This was my favorite Hostel Stay during my time in Albania. The staff and volunteers is really what makes this place stand out! Very welcoming, including and warm, always someone to chat and hang out. Also the canyon rafting tour was a highlight! Thanks everyone:)

my favourite hostel during my stay in Albania. Late in the season when I stayed it was a very calm, long stay crowd at the hostel, super peaceful and welcoming.

I was happy there! And I will go back for sure. Is close to a lot of fun stuff, everyone is nice, breakfast has chocolate (and Albanian traditional dishes of course) 🤗. The guy in my dorm was going to stay there for a full month and has done it before. So yes, go to Maya Hostel haha

Super hostel avec une magnifique vue sur l’autre côté de Berat. L’équipe est au top et aux petits soins pour nous. Rien à dire sur la propreté et les équipements, tout était parfait (surtout le petit déjeuner super complet)
