+ The reception
- Dirtiest hostel I have been to in Asia. My bed had not been made, as in it didn’t have new bedding as it should. The sheets, pillow, blanket did not smell of “laundry” as in other hostels. There was a blond hair on my bed. But I was so tired to go ask for house keeping that I looked in the dorm for other cleaner blankets to borrow in the supposedly “clean beds”. They smelled even worse. And one pillow smelled like strong sweat. I managed to find some that did not smell like someone’s dirt and slept. But i was itching everywhere so i hope i am not taking bed bugs with me. I am easy when it comes to hostel but changing bed sheets is a must for me. The bathroom seems like it’s not cleaned either. They probably do a superficial “cleaning” as in filling toilet paper. But nothing like deep cleaning. This wood window was so dusty i think no cleaner touched it in years.

+ Rooms are good size, clean and dorm beds are private. Good AC.
- Very badly managed hostel. If it were managed better, it would have real potential! Staff were incredibly unhelpful. Multiple negative interactions with them during my stay. Feels a bit money-grabbing, i.e. no outside food on hostel grounds, bike hire overpriced, food and drink in hostel overpriced for the quality. No water for most of my stay. Reported not being able to shower 4 separate times, no attempt by staff to really fix anything. No proper explanations or any sort of apology given. I will not be staying at any Mad Monkeys now - this was first and last.

- 1 star because they made you pay $0.50 to fill up your water bottle. Stupid.

- Staff is just incompetent and useless. If you ask them something you get 5 different answers. Like I wanted to go rent a motorbike. It took them 1 hour to bring but actually it was already there the whole time. They charge you for everything which is free in other hostels. Everything is super expensive. The location in town is bad.

- If you got a problem you're fucked I got sick and needed to go through all by myself Only one guy speaks english No one wants to help you We had never activities Really expensive for Laos conditions
« bad monkey » je vous le déconseille ! Très mauvaise expérience. Les chambres sont très mal isolée, beaucoup de bruit à l’extérieur qui empêche de dormir, des rideaux qui servent à rien on voit les gens dormir… À fuir cet endroit pour dormir.
Bad Monkey on devrait l’appeler très mauvaise expérience très mal insonorisé. La fête toute la nuit, les chambres sont pas du tout isolé les rideaux ne servent à rien, un toilette une douche pour tout un dortoir pour laver le linge sur place ne sont pas correctes sur les heures. Promises attente quatre heures de plus, je ne recommande pas passer votre chemin…..

Promises attente quatre heures de plus, je ne recommande pas passer votre chemin…..
Bad Monkey Des rideaux pour les lits qui ne servent absolument à rien, une douche et un toilette pour un dortoir et un bruit enoooorme jusqu’à minuit, pas terrible pour dormir. La laverie m’a aussi dit qu’il me rendrait mon linge à 9h je l’ai récupéré à 18h (9h d’attente pour du linge propre) À fuir les baroudeurs
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kamers Zijn goed, ruime bedden en het binnenklimaat is echt zeer goed. Ik vind persoonlijk de trappen naar de bedden op de bovenste laag een verbeterpunt. Ook de kluisjes en de codes van de deuren kunnen naar mijn mening echt veiliger. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staf Is vriendelijk en behulpzaam en helpen met het sfeermaken. Dit helpt zeer goed! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Schoonmaak Is oke. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sanitair Het werkt en is goed voor een hostel. Alleen de sloten zijn boven flink verouderd, waardoor h...
