- The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was small, the bed linen was very old, there were holes in it, the mattress was very hard and it was impossible to sleep. It was very cold in the room and we were freezing. And the most important thing is that the hotel administrator wanted to deceive us. She punched the amount of the stay twice through her bank card, but said that there was no Internet connection and I paid for it in cash. In the end, it turned out that I paid 3 times for the same number.

- Het begon bij aankomst al wat vreemd met het verzoek om Booking.com te annuleren en ik dan geen 3% fee hoefde te betalen. Ik had 5 nachten geboekt, maar ben na 1 nacht vertrokken naar een hotel verderop. Bij aankomst was vrij duidelijk dat op het kussen dat er lag, reeds was geslapen. Gelukkig kreeg ik een nieuwe kussensloop. Verder was de geur in de badkamer vreselijk vies. Een hele sterke rioollucht. Ze hebben dat geprobeerd te verhelpen maar de geur werd langzaam steeds weer sterker. De douchekop is half aanwezig, waardoor er een rare stroom water uitkomt. De zeepjes van de vorige gast(en) lagen er nog. Ik vond het een onplezierig verblijf, ook qua receptie en medewerkers. Gelukkig is het (uiteindelijk) geregeld met de overige nachten, die kreeg ik terug. Dus dat was netjes geregeld, al ging dat wel wat moeizaam.

- I don't understand why I pay 600k for room under stairs. It's wasn't that what they sell. Pillows smell cigarettes or old dust. Bathroom was awful. Rat was eating foam in room. BTW owners cancel this booking couple hours before checkout. I was three night there. Why? To make more money and I don't give review?

+ After reading the good reviews I expected a decent guesthouse. I was disappointed to find out it was not true.

- Booked a room with window, but on arrival the room was dark, had no window, the air was bad and smelly due to lack of ventilation, and the room was dirty. Noisy place with screaming child from the owners. The owners seem friendly, but they are not honest. They marked the stay on booking.com as cancelled (even though I paid and stayed there), so I could not write a review on booking.com After calling the helpdesk of booking.com I was able to write this review. So only good reviews do show about this guesthouse, since they try to block the other ones. It is misleading. Yet they will serve you with a friendly smile. It is fake and just there to get your money. Stay away. I felt sorry to have chosen this place to stay, which seemed nice from the pics and reviews on the booking website.

- Tutto. Incantata dalle foto pubblicate da booking ho prenotato 3 notti. Quello che ho trovato è ben diverso da quello descritto da booking. Con 15 usd a notte puoi trovare qualcosa di meglio. Il peggior albergo della mia vita. Ho 59 anni e viaggio da 40 anni in tutto il mondo. Non fatevi fregare. Guardate le mie foto che sono vere. No finestre solo luce elettrica. Le spine non funzionano e non puoi caricare il Cell. No doccia no armadio. Stanza minuscola. Ho vissuto come in galera pagando 15 usd a notte. Una fregatura con i fiocchi. Scriverò anche su TripAdvisor. Tutti devono sapere cosa stanno prenotando. Assolutamente sconsigliato ai claustrofobici. In più la signora che gestisce ti chiede anche di fare una buona recensione. Incredibile. Pubblicherò anche una recensione con molte più foto della struttura anche su TripAdvisor. Vi conviene andare a vedere

- Très bruyant, chambre, ne ressemblons pas aux photos, chambre, salle, salle de bain, ignoble, rien, ne marchait, établissement très cher pour son prix

- 1. Beim CheckIn wurde ich freundlich begrüßt und direkt angelogen. Mir wurde alles erklärt und dann wurde ich um die Zahlung gebeten. Diese war definitiv falsch berechnet was ich erst im Nachhinein bemerkt hatte (auch wenn es nur 3-4€ waren) da ich vertraut habe. Direkt nachdem sie ihr Geld sicher hatten, hieß es plötzlich wir haben ein im Badezimmer mit dem Wasser und ich müsste für 1 Nacht in ein anderes Hotel gehen was aber genau das gleiche wäre. ( Es gibt Soutikon 1 und 2) Als ich etwas genauer nachfragte, sagte sie plötzlich ich solle die ganzen 4 Nächte dort bleiben. Ein wenig später wurde ich von jemandem mit dem Moped abgeholt und zum anderen Hotel gefahren. Dieses hieß dann plötzlich Manichan Guesthouse und war absolut nicht das was ich gebucht hatte. Also ließ ich mich wieder zurück bringen und diskutierte mit der Dame was das ganze soll. Plötzlich war dann doch mein Zimmer inordnung und ich konnte rein. Ich fragte sie warum sie mich anlügt und so ein Schwachsinn veranstaltet? Keine Reaktion und ich glaube ich bin nicht der erste den das passiert ist. Ich glaube das sich die Gäste aus welchen Gründen auch immer zugeschoben werden. 2. Altes heruntergekommenes Gebäude und Zimmer. Komplett durchgelegene und verdreckte Matratze. Man schläft quasi nur noch auf den Drähten. Verschmutzte Bettwäsche, Staub und Spinnweben überall. Heruntergekommenes altes Badezimmer, kaputter Duschkopf und Abwasser Geruch. 3. Mageres und durchschnittliches Frühstück. Personal nicht wirklich freundlich aber ok. Ich schreibe wirklich ungern schlechte Bewertungen aber hier musste dies einfach sein und geht nicht anders. Ihr werdet definitiv was besseres finden in Luang Prabang!!!

- - Dès notre arrivée, le réceptionniste a essayé de nous faire payer + que nécessaire et n'avait pas l'air vraiment désolé quand il s'est rendu compte de son "erreur" - nous avons été mis dans une chambre qui ne ressemble pas du tout au photos : presque pas de lumière car nous donnions sur un mur à 1m, salle de bain minable. À coté de la cuisine donc bcp de bruit. - Nous sommes restées 5 nuits. Le dernier jour, je me suis trompée d'établissement en reservant en ligne (pour ne pas me faire arnaquer par le receptionniste). On ne s'était pas rendu compte de notre erreur jusqu'à ce que la propriétaire débarque en nous criant dessus, nous menace d'appeler la police, qu'on n'a qu'à payer... le dire gentillement n'aurait pas changé grand chose? Nous étions là depuis 5 jours il me semble que nous etions de bonne foi.... Bref, si vous voulez vraiment économiser venez ici mais sinon cherchez ailleurs

+ I enjoyed the friendly staff and quiet location, the breakfast was very nice. The room was big and peaceful location

- There were a lot of mosquitoes in my room coming from I don t know where, the decoration make it hard to clean in some spaces, maybe better to take of the decoration to avoid dust of cobwebs. no view from the window.

+ Clean, comfortable room. Good location, quiet area but not too far from centre. Lots of e-bikes parked around to use also. Staff very helpful!

- Not much natural light as windows were facing an alleyway but good value for money.

+ The location is superb and the historical significance makes the property an easy choice for Luang Prabang. The restaurant is superb and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

+ L’emplacement et le personnel très gentil Bon petit déjeuner Il y avait un problème dans notre chambre à notre arrivée donc le propriétaire nous a mit dans un hôtel la rue au dessus et le lendemain nous sommes revenus dans notre hôtel principal.

+ Fijne kamer dichtbij de oude stad, met twee minuten lopen sta je in de drukte van het stadje. Personeel is super vriendelijk en regelt alles voor je, ook de boekingen voor trein en tours. Ontbijt heel lekker en extra koffie is nooit een probleem. Verder was mijn backpack gescheurd en deze hebben ze voor 30.000 kip heel netjes laten repareren 👍.

+ goede locatie, het ochtend ritueel van de monniken om de hoek. Bed was goed, kamer wel wat klein. ontbijt a la carte prima keuze

- badkamer wel erg krap uitzicht op rivier toch minder mooi dan sommige foto's

+ Personnel au top et emplacement en plein centre ville de Luang Prabang ! Le lit était confortable et le petit déj appréciable !

- Certains équipements à améliorer notamment les prises électriques qui ne sont pas très bien placés..

+ The staff is really friendly and helpful. Additionally there are many services included that one has to pay in other hotels. For example, everyday the room was cleaned, the towels changed and we were five a bottle of water per person

- The room felt a bit claustrophobic and the windows were not very comfortable to open to have some fresh air
