I don’t know where they got the good reviews from. location is the only positive thing. When I arrived they didn’t understand which one was my reservation (even though they had my passport with my name on it). This is by far the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. The owner leaves to go drinking in the evening leaving his children at the reception to answer questions. He comes back drunk and goes straight to his room, what’s more is after staying there for 3 nights I had bed bug bites all over my arms. And to top it all off they not only lost some of my laundry but managed to put holes in two of my t-shirts. Please don’t take the risk. Find somewhere else. Apart from location this is not a good hostel to stay in. The premises are filthy, bedding did not seem washed and you get an unclean blanket rather than a sheet. We witnessed the owner lying to a guest over a dispute over whether they had paid or not, the owner saying that no one else took payments or spoke English yet the next day we witnessed another woman accepting a payment from a different guest. Would not recommend staying here.

Turned up after 2 day slow boat and receptionist told me they gave me room away to someone else as I didn’t check in the day previously. I emailed them 3 days before to say my boat has been delayed a day and will be checking in a day late and showed them this email but was told they didn’t check their emails and were full. Had to book somewhere else last minute that night and still not been refunded my deposit.

I had to stay five days in total. The room was never cleaned even once, not even the restroom. I stayed in a girl’s room and the floor was covered in hair, the restroom’s bin full to the top. Even when the other girls left, the beds stayed with the dirty linen until I left. It says “no noise after 11pm” and even the staff and his friends were playing pool being loud past 12:30am. An sich eine preiswerte Unterkunft in top Lage, Frühstück inkludiert, aber beim Putzen des Dorms sind meine Schlafshorts von meinem Bett verschwunden und waren danach trotz nachfragens nicht wieder aufzufinden

Not very Clean, wasnt very social when I was there and Sometimes communication hard especially when there is No one at the reception for hours.. okay when you have to but could be better

Lied about air conditioning. Hot and muggy in rooms and when I asked to turn it on they would brush it off. Wouldn’t let you hang out in lobby past midnight and threatened to call the cops and make you pay $1000 or something ridiculous. Good free breakfast though.

Got transferred to another ‘but the same’ hostel, wasn’t true, the owners just knew each other. They wanted us to pay double. Showers didn’t work very well and the room was freezing, only 20 degrees Celsius. Wouldn’t recommend.

This place as clean, quiet, and nice. Nothing luxurious but cheap and very close to everything you need

Perfect location, amazing staff, great breakfast in cozy setting that made it easy to converse with other travellers.

The location is perfect, just a few meters from the main street (night market and restaurants).

Second time staying here, host is great ! Beds are comfy and location is perfect.

Very good host and very helpful throughout my stay.

Not safe for you luggage

I think the score for this place is too high. Booked an en-suite, no en-suites exist. The mattresses are foam and very loud and uncomfortable. There are no locks on the doors for any room, but there is a small locker for passports/money. Toilets/showers upstairs were not clean, but the staff did seem to be cleaning in the morning. Downstairs toilets were better. Good location for exploring Luang Prabang’s old town.

bathrooms facilities are good, bed is okay. the 4 bed room has plenty of space. breakfast is naff but it's free so you get what you're given. it seems like the staff are barely there but as long as you can check in it doesn't really matter. overall it isnt too bad if you're only there for a couple of nights

This hostel has an unbeatable location right across from the museum, next to Mount Phousi, and steps away from the night market! When I checked in, there were a few issues with mosquitoes and a smelly blanket, but the staff responded quickly and resolved everything. The showers and toilets were clean, with toilet paper always available. Breakfast was good, and there’s unlimited tea and coffee you can make anytime. The staff were helpful, and overall, I had a lovely stay.

Great location, good ac and an amazing banana pancake for breakfast! Wish they could give out early breakfast for those taking the slow boat.

Es un lugar muy basico en cuanto a las instalaciones (baño y habitaciones). Tiene una buena zona para socializar.

Good hostel

Very satisfied with the hostel ! The location is just perfect. The staff is nice. We rented a motorbike and also booked a bus ticket there. I recommend :)

I had a really nice stay here. Staff are helpful, good location, nice breakfast (banana pancake was very tasty) and pretty clean. Social area isn’t very big but I have no complaints so would recommend! Also water refill which is always a bonus.

Very chill and friendly hostel, the outside area is great for working or just hanging out. They don’t have room keys so for someone very concerned about safety, it might not be the right option. Lockers are available though

Not great place. my bed was dirty and i felt unconfortable. stsff was helpful but not friendly. although people are staying here there is no vibe
