location is really bad, far from alona beach, commercial areas or somewhere nice you can reach by foot without walking along the highway with all those crazy drivers. This would not be a problem if they made up for it with an actual pool (what you see on the Hostelworld thumbnail hardly qualifies as one) or a nice social area to hang out. It’s just their restaurant, no space to relax other than your room. The guy at the front desk was really nice and helpful, that’s the one nice thing about ...
Also das war ja mal ein Reinfall. Wir haben gesehen das es auf Panglao ein recht neues Hostel gibt und waren gerne bereit, diesem eine Chance zu geben. Auf den ersten Blick macht das Hostel einen netten Eindruck, welcher jedoch täuscht. Die Zimmer sind in keinem guten Zustand. Es ist nicht sauber, die Betten wackeln und im Badezimmer funktioniert weder Abfluss noch Dusche vernünftig. Die Zimmer sind lediglich mit Ventilatoren und nicht mit Klimaanlage ausgestattet, was das schlafen schwer ertr...
So this was quite a comeback. We saw that there is a brand new hostel on Panglao and were happy to give it a try. At first glance the hostel makes a nice impression, which is false. The rooms are in no good condition. It is not clean, the beds are wobbly and neither drain nor shower works properly in the bathroom. The rooms are only equipped with fans and not air conditioning, which makes it difficult to sleep.
Simply perfect!

I had an amazing stay at Ecostay Panglao Backpackers Bed! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to provide recommendations and assistance. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the communal areas had a great vibe for meeting other travelers. The location is perfect, close to beautiful beaches and local attractions. I especially appreciated the eco-friendly initiatives they have in place. Highly recommend!
