tbh; 0 out of 10. the owner was unfriendly and made us search for another place to stay a almost 1 a.m. because we only wanted to spend the night there and do the tour with a guide that was not part of her family aka "her business". we later on found out, that she was new to town and tries to make booking a tour mandatory when staying at the lodge. local guides who have been in bukit lawang for years know about it and do their best to help the guest find better options.

Rooms not as advertised. No dorms available and when we arrived - after all booking online the day of - We were told there were no rooms? It was very confusing. We ended up sharing double beds between our group. There was no Wifi and no Water at all for showers/toilet/sink. The owner messaged a few of us saying he didn't like one of the men in our group and gave out to us for not booking a tour with him and then gave out to the people we did book with. I felt very uncomfortable. Very rude man.

Accomodation was clean and just as shown on the pictures and location in the villages is great! Downside was that every night a person played music extremely loud up untill 3h and I got robbed during my last night.

The staff was really nice! We did the jungle trek with tande and peri, they were so sweet and it was very fun. We got some money stolen from our room tho, but the staff handled it well and gave us our stay there for free. Nice area and good view

decent place to stay if you’re just here for a night in between jungle trekking, you could find something better though. I had to wait close to an hour to check in because no one was there, it didn’t look like they really cleaned the bathroom (soap residue left on the floor), also the power went out unexpectedly multiple times even when i wasn’t using any outlets and the water was shut off in the morning so i was unable to shower. They could work on improving these things

I stayed in the basic double bed room for one night by myself. The room was spacious and the bed was big with a mosquito net and a fan. Normal shower with cold water and normal toilet. No WiFi in the upstairs room, so for me only downstairs in front of the hostel. Overall, a good place to stay. I just didn’t appreciate the constant asking to join a trek. That did bother me indeed

Was a good stay, makes a good change from being in hostel rooms all the time, nice staff helpful with bookings, spacious room, only bad thing was cold shower but other than that no issues

This place was the highlight of our trip. So welcoming and hospitable. We loved Roger as our guide in the jungle. We booked the dorm room where there was 2 large beds which was a nice change from bunk beds. I would recommend this hostel to everyone. Definitely do the orangutan jungle trip for at least one night you wont regret it. Even the food was amazing!

Had a great stay here, was clean, beautiful location, helpful and friendly staff, and a nice outdoor area to sit and eat. We did a 3day jungle trek organized here and it was absolutely amazing. We came in the low season felt so lucky experience the jungle with few others. Of course it is a bit of an adventure and difficult but also beautiful and life changing. If you’re up for something different, I would highly recommend.

Amazing stay here, the staff really made the experience the best that it good be. We did the 3day trek and had an unforgettable time. Our guides were the best, had some good laughs and chats with them, and they helped us with everything, including transport around Bukit lawang, food recommendations, and he even fixed my broken flip flop. Thankyou :)))

Es war sehr nett und wir haben direkt vor Ort eine drei Tägige Dschungeltour gebucht. Wir haben viel gesehen und hatten sehr nette Guides wodurch unser Tour sehr schön war und wir viel erlebt haben.

Had the best time. Predi was the best host you could ask for, the trek was the highlight of my travels. Couldn’t recommend this experience with this hostel enough. Will definitely be back !!

Excellent séjour dans cet endroit avec un super emplacement et très bon accueil ! Le personnel est vraiment top à l’écoute, disponible et toujours là pour vous trouver une solution. Nous sommes également passé avec eux pour le trek dans la jungle et c’était juste incroyable. Je recommande vivement cet endroit !

We did a 2 day jungle trekking and it was really good. Our guide was a really nice guy and our cook, who also arranged everything for us, was also a legend! The accommodation was overall pretty nice aswell. Thank you for making our stay in Bukit Lawang so good.

Right from start I had this welcoming feeling. Mama Jojo (the owner of the place) is so lovely and caring and always there for you if you need anything :) When I arrived my guide Rismanto, was already waiting for me. He told me all the info about the jungle trek, we would start the next day. Saw many things and monkeys and overall a great experience! Especially the food on the track and the food Arib cooked for us at the camp. So good! Just great guys and so much fun talking to! Thank you!! ...

We arrived in the evening and were picked up from the airport for a very reasonable price. The drive took about four hours and our driver was friendly and welcoming.We booked the tour through them, and our guide Rismanto was absolutely amazing – super friendly, helpful, and always in a good mood. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Predi picked me up from the bus station in Bukit lawang, helped me a lot during my stay. Drove me to ATM and local market. Predi and Aldi were good guides during our three day jungle trek. Our chef at the trek was really talented and food was better than in any restaurant during my one month trip. The restaurant at the hostel serve really affordable and good breakfast. Good atmosphere overall abd would definitely go again.
