Liola' Palermo

The room and bathroom were very clean. However, the walls were pretty thin which made nights sometimes a noisy experience. Luigi is a great host that gives you lot of tips. Unfortunately the atmosphere was quite anonymous as I never saw any of the other guests. Nonetheless, if you only stay for a few nights only and you are not keen on meeting other people it is just fine. Especially as the location could not be better.

Make sure you communicate with them about your check in before arrival! There’s no desk and I missed their email (went to my spam folder) so there’ was confusion for check in. Otherwise a very nice place spacious room with a balcony and a renovated shared bathroom with a big shower (rare in Europe). Just outside of the old town. Only complaint is a lot of street noise makes it into the room from the balcony- lots of dogs in Palermo. Has an elevator!

My flight arrived really late in the night and Luigi was waiting for me on the street, to check me in. So appreciative! The Location, room and facilities were central, clean and comfortable. I overlooked that it wasn't a hostel so missed the vibe as I didn't see the other guests in the 2 other rooms. But when I need suggestions or help with transportation and translation of my airline ticket, I rang Luigi and he promptly sent someone to come over and help me. Overall a positive experience!

Nice quiet building, in a central location, near Mercato Capo, for breakfast and Theatro Massemo. Lots of keys to get in and out!

The stay was perfect! Six of us booked to stay for three nights and it fit us perfectly, allowing two people per bed per room. It was very clean, a perfect distance from the markets, cathedral, and other sights. Luigi was very helpful and quick to respond, and Gabriele was super helpful with giving us ideas of where to go, what to see, and where to eat! The kitchen and bathroom were also cleaned mid-day each day while we were out which was very nice to come back to. I will definitely book again!
