Central Hostel Boutique

Very expensive for a private room ($145USD) that does not look like the picture, doesn’t feel very clean including the bedding, and water stopped working on the whole floor by 10pm but no one at front desk to help. When the water did work, it was a bonus that the shower was hot and they do include a small communal breakfast.

Very random place. In the dorm, the bathroom door cannot be locked!!!! It doesn’t even close fully! As a woman I felt very uncomfortable. There was no one at the reception when I arrived and in general the place was completely empty. The capsules are very tightly squeezed into one room, you can hear when the other person in the top bunk moves. The breakfast was very simple: pancakes with sirup and fruit loops/oats with milk and there was very little fruit. The common area is nice but not soci...

Was supposed to stay 4 nights total here, wound up cancelling the last 2 because I did not feel it was safe. For starters, it is not central at all, it’s about a 25 min walk to the city center. There’s no sign outside to identify where it is & no indication of this in emails for booking, even the shuttle driver had no idea where it was. It all started with the way I was welcomed. I arrived to a closed door and rang the bell several times, knocked repeatedly, and even called the listed phone number. A Spanish-speaking woman answered but kept saying she didn’t understand me. (To be fair, my Spanish isn’t great.) Even when I switched to English, she continued responding in Spanish that she didn’t understand. After half an hour of ringing, knocking, and sending messages, the door finally opened. Capsules sleep fine

Bei genauem hinsehen viele Fakebewertungen, die zum trügerischen guten Ergebnis führen. Bilder täuschen leider über den Zustand der Zimmer hinweg. Hostel von außen nicht erkennbar und zuständige Rezeption nur über WhatsApp erreichbar. Diese betreut 3 weitere Hostels und kommt bei Bedarf per Motorrad. Empfehlung nur bei wenig Anspruch an alles.

Room didn’t have any outside window and a bad smell of moist because of a lack of ventilation. Basically no sound proof walls or doors which made us hear every conversation in the other parts of the hostel.

Nice place and staff, pretty flexible. Very noisy in the morning… lots of banging going on that made it hard to sleep in.

You can open the doors of the pod if you push them hard enough. The pods are quite noisy too and the location is about half an hour walk from the center. Kitchen is well equipped and breakfast is fine (pancakes + oats & coffee). Not a very social place though, but nice and quiet. Staff is very friendly in person but communication through email and WhatsApp was absolutely terrible.

Average hostel except the showers didn’t have any heat. Internet was unreliable for us and our bedroom was immediately next to a construction shop with loud banging in the morning. There were no events. Met some really interesting people, mostly over the free breakfast. Hostel was safe and clean.

Very big place, lots of activities to do.the food was good except I wouldn’t recommend the panini because it was dry. fast service and the staff is very friendly

Very clean, quaint hostel on the edge of town. Very quiet, delicious breakfast included, run by very kind locals. Only downside was no hot water while I was there

Decent breakfast and private like feel due to the pods. Great views of all the volcanoes from the terrace. Only thing showers weren’t hot.

Chill place. Super low key. Not a lot of solo travelers, mostly couples so it’s not so easy to meet people. The staff isn’t always around, you have to text or call them which sucks if you need something. extremely clean! Cleaned daily! The pods make a lot of squeaky noises. Beds aren’t that comfy.

Lindo lugar, pero esta muy lejos del centro de antigua y la calle es algo obscura.

I had a private room and it was great! Decent WiFi and nice showers. In a great location as well

Llegué a Antigua a las 5:30am desde Flores y mi check-in era a las 3pm. Me dieron mi habitación en la mañana para poder descansar del largo viaje. Desayuno incluido y si buscas un lugar sin ruido, este es tu lugar:)

As intalações são boa num geral, principalmente cozinha, mesa para trabalhar na área comum e rooftop, mas tem alguns pontos fracos: 1) a localização, cerca de uns 15/20min caminhando pro centro de Antigua; 2) a recepção não está sempre aberta, quando cheguei não tinha ninguém para me atender e o hostel não tem uma fachada e eu fiquei perdida logo quando entrei; 3) café da manhã é só um quebra galho pra não ficar com fome logo quando acorda, não tem quase opção.

Sleeping in one of the capsules was an adventure itself. If your above 1.85 think it’ll be a bit tiny for you maybe … slept like a baby 👶

I liked the pods and it had a nice rooftop, however this is not central and it had no atmosphere

The beds in the dorm were state of the art. Very comfortable dorms and clean bathrooms. Kitchen and Dining (esp rooftop) were excellent.

Honestly one of the best hostel I’ve stayed in. It’s beautiful, the breakfast is so good (especially the Piña marmelade), the cabins in the dorms are super nice, it gives you a nice feeling of privacy and the rooftop/commons areas are spacious + it’s one of the cheapest one I found in the area, well located Couldn’t recommend it more :)
