Unpleasant staff, dirty rooms, common areas too small compared to the world, the shower water goes from very hot to very every three seconds, staff changes the beds with their shoes in them,... in short, I would not come back

Grosse déception. Malgré une note de 8,9 sur site web, cette auberge a été ma pire expérience en Australie. Chambres petites, matelas inconfortables, une seule toilette par étage, trop peu de frigos. Quand il pleut, quasi pas de place pour manger. Douches insupportables : l’eau passe sans arrêt de brûlante à glaciale. Pour le même prix, on trouve bien mieux ailleurs.

I had a terrible experience here. I found cockroaches crawling on my bed and my belongings, which forced me to leave in the middle of the night. The staff later said that this was "to be expected" after pest control - yet no one warned me beforehand. Despite everything, they refused to give a refund. Absolutely unacceptable. I would never stay here again.

I would not recommend staying here. We were greeted by a very rude member of staff. There was a problem with our booking and instead of helping us rectify this, we were spoken to very unpleasantly like we were children being told off at school. This set the mood for the rest of the stay. Unclean, rude staff, no activities that they advertise on here. All keys unlock all rooms, so no security at all. I’ve stayed in many hostels and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had.

Molto sporco: il pavimento, le scale per accedere alle stanze, i bagni. Nelle stanze e nei bagni ho trovato delle blatte… che schifo. Ma molto accogliente la reception, e il quartiere di kings cross è molto bello.

Worst hostel ever, 2 fridges for over a hundred people, kitchen is super small, stuff gets stolen, cockroaches in shower, basic beds, plastic plates and plastic cups which is disgusting. Shared area closes at 20:45, music is awful. Unfriendly staff.

Property was fine, bed was a bit gross and rooms smelt bad. Locations felt a bit unsafe.

This place was disgusting. The overall cleanliness was awful. I felt disgusting in the showers. There was no A/C so everyone was constantly sweating (which you could smell). The rooms were dirty and smelt bad. The kitchen was gross and had cockroaches. Our light in the dorm didn’t even work for 2 days. You aren’t allowed to open the windows in the dorms so there is NO air flow. The kitchen fridges had no room for ANY items. Overall it was very disappointing. We left early

Das Personal (Alice) ist sehr unfreundlich!!! Unser Essen, Waschmittel,… wurde ohne Grund einfach weggeschmissen (Wert von ca. 50€), obwohl wir ein Label an unserer Essenstasche hatten. Keine Klimaanlage!!! Eins der schlimmsten Hostels unserer gesamten Reise :/

Good location. I’ve stayed at a lot of hostel without air con but this was another level, only a tiny fan on the wall, maybe nice for the one who sleeps in the upper bed close to it but otherwise noooo oxygen in the room, really a panic thing. Lots of crocks in both kitchen and bedroom, I also woke up with a lot of bites on my arms from some kind on insect every morning! Rude staff! Don’t stay longer here than like 2 nights!

Great hostel in a decent location. Plenty of social opportunities and lots do nearby. Rooms are a little small but lockers are huge.

It was a bit weird they close the tables area at 10pm. the chicken is open until 12am and you can not sit on the table to eat. kitchen is very full at dinner time. the guests were seated at the stairs blocking the path. bad energy and weird people.

I would always come back.

Had a really lovely stay at summer house, very clean and great location. The staff member Tegan was super sweet and helpful when we were trying to find activities to do in Sydney !! xxx

The staff is really nice, and the atmosphere is great too. Only downside is the bathroom but it's okay.

quite far away from kings cross, lots of stairs!! wouldn’t book again (only booked it bc it was the cheapest 30€/ night)

Could use way more bathrooms. Also so many stairs and no elevator.

Way to less Toilets and showers. Very hot in the dorm.

Die Zimmer waren leider viel zu warm, da es keine Klimaanlage gab. Dadurch war die Luft generell sehr schlecht und man konnte kaum schlafen.

The STAFF make this place livable! 💓 they are great (Fri was BBQ & Sat was Pancakes) The downfall??? Limited BATHROOMs! ONE W/C serving 24??? Beds! AND… it has a shower. god forbid you have to GO & someone has a long shower.! If you walk up 10 more steps there’s 2 more! (Shared by ??12 more beds?!? Crazy. The steel BUNKS are clean & comfy.! Downside.. they CREAK with the slightest breath. Unless one moves like a CAT stalking a Canary. 😵‍💫 3 stoves, burners go out. �...

Great hostel for people wanting to stay long term, the staff are very friendly and helpful, even let me leave my bags the night before check in, saving me from having to carry them to work :)

It is far away from the station. About 20 minutes walk and buses from there aren’t super convenient. But it is cheaper and the vibe is very nice. Lots of events. Wish I’d stayed there entire time I was in Sydney

Hostels okay. The volunteers and staff are friendly but not too fussed if you have an issue. The long term guests are a little rude but that hasn’t factored into my rating (apart from atmosphere). The 4 bed dorms are nice and the kitchen facilities are good comparatively speaking. Have stayed in other hostels in Sydney and this was my least favourite although it’s okay.

Such a good hostel! Definitely the most social I’ve stayed at in Australia - the staff are so friendly and it’s super clean! Location is 10/10 too :))

Amazing hostel, the staff are super friendly and helpful. I’ve been here a few times and it’s super social and everyone is really friendly especially Teagan! I ca highly recommend id you’re staying here for a while!

Great location and very clean. Tilly & Teagan were super helpful and was a lovely atmosphere around the hostel. Would defo recommend!
