Très long chemin valoner pour y accéder, si pas de moto c'est éloigné de toute commodités, la vue y est très belle et le restaurant très bon, malheureusement l'hôtel est salle, ainsi qu'au restaurant les assises des fauteuils sont pleins de tâches, un après midi les oiseaux on déféquer sur la terrasse ça'n'a pas été nettoyer. C'est en travaux,il y'a beaucoup d'insecte dans la chambre, l'accueil nous à donné du produit. Les activités sont plus chère que si vous y aller par vous...
It's a long way to get there, if not a motorbike it's far from all amenities, the view is very nice and the restaurant is very good, unfortunately the hotel is a room, as well as in the restaurant the seating of the armchairs are full of tasks, one afternoon the birds are defecating on the terrace it hasn't been cleaned. it's under construction,there are a lot of insects in the room,the reception gave us some product. the activities are more expensive than if you go by yourself
Don’t go to this place unless you want to get eaten alive by bugs. I get that it’s a tropical island and I’m fully ok with that. However, there were no mosquito nets for the beds. After asking at the reception they gave an address at the other side of the island where I could buy one myself… Nice place to visit for a coffee but don’t sleep here!
Don’t stay here unless you really like bugs. As for the 10 person dorm, there are holes all over the walls and in the screens and the room was FULL of bugs. This isn’t even such a great concern of mine but if it is going to be like this they REALLY need mosquito nets. I got multiple wasp stings while asleep. Staff blamed it on the rain and did nothing else. I told them they need nets. Food way overpriced. Bathrooms are latrines. Least social hostel I have ever stayed at. I’ll admit nice vi...
Worst value-for-money hostel I’ve stayed in. The “premium” room is expensive but disappointing: staff are unfriendly, the Wi-Fi barely in the room, and everything looks dirty: room, bathroom, and terrace. There’s constant noise from construction next door starting in the morning., with no warning given. Poor service for the price. Only positives: the amazing lakefront location and surprisingly tasty, high-quality vegan dishes.
Location near enough not accessible from the road, rooms are like a sauna where it is hotter inside than outside, had to wait 30 mins for someone to show up at reception and the female staff there were nothing but rude. Activities are hardly activities so no worth the money and WiFi in the private rooms do not work. Angel and the bar stuff however were very polite and hospitable and the food is good. Wouldn't stay again
Stayed here for 2 nights. Dorms were fine, private fan with each bunk which is nice. Used their laundry service, they ended up losing one of my new shirts I just got and stained another with brown marks on the front and back. Staff assured me they didn’t lose my laundry and the stain was not from them. Food at the restaurant is quite expensive and beer is around $5 or 190 cordoba for a single bottle, most expensive I’ve seen on my trip to Nicaragua. Not very social either
Ich würde nie wieder dahin. Unfreundliches und unfähiges Personal welches unter keinen Umständen versucht zu helfen, dreckige Betten, Glamping und Baumhäuser mit großen Schlitzen, so dass jedes Insekt oder jede Spinne hineinkriechen kann. I would never go there again. unfriendly and incompetent staff who under no circumstances try to help, dirty beds, glamping and tree houses with large slits, so that any insect or spider can crawl in. the whole location is designed and conveys only one want-gern-vibeyoga/vegan/nature-bound. basically i like that, but in this accommodation everything was just set up & very over-controlled. the only thing beautiful is the grounds.
I booked a private room here to relax a little but I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as i wanted and i even left earlier. The concept is nice however, there were bugs littlery everywhere and between all my stuff. There was no AC and my fan wasn’t working as well. In my private room i had a very weird working toilet with leaves in it and you couldn’t even flush. Also there was no wifi except for the restaurant and the electricity went out a lot of times. No vibes as well
Le dortoir de 6 est vraiment petit et sent l'humidité. Il n'y a pas de rideau pour isoler du soleil, on n'y capte pas le wifi et il n'y a pas de cuisine pour les gens en dortoir. La terrasse a une superbe vue sur le lac, mais des centaines de moucherons se déposent partout sur votre corps, sur la table, dans l'assiette, le verre... Ambiance "jungle". Les cours de yoga sont biens.
The dorm of 6 is really small and smells of moisture. there is no curtain to insulate from the sun, you can't get wifi and there is no kitchen for the people in the dorm. the terrace has a great view of the lake, but hundreds of flycatchers are sitting all over your body, on the table, in the plate, the glass... "jungle" atmosphere. yoga classes are good.
No aircon and only one fan per dorm was a killer, the bathrooms are dirty and the staff were rude, good coffee though.

Nicht das typisch soziale Hostel. Aber klasse Lage am See und tolle Anlage. Das Essen ebenfalls sehr gut! Der Deluxe Dorm war schön, leider ohne AC. Wenn man eine schöne Anlage am See mit gutem Essen und nicht unbedingt socialisen möchte, ist der Ort sehr gut.
This hostel looks really nice, but lacks any atmosphere, as the accommodation feels like an afterthought to the restaurant. There’s nowhere to relax outside the dorms except for the restaurant, which makes for a weird vibe. Also the top bunk beds don’t have barriers which is pretty uncomfortable and dangerous. However the bugs weren’t as bad as other reviews suggest.
The hostel was beautiful, but that’s the best thing I can say about it. Stayed in the deluxe dorm and the 360 windows had no curtains and no shade, so the room was extremely hot all day and night. If the heat and sun in the room aren’t enough to wake you up, they started loud construction at 8am. The doors didn’t seal and there were no bug nets, so tons of bugs in the room. Shower wasn’t enclosed so it sprayed water all over the bathroom, and the floor stayed wet all day. Not worth the m...
El Pital is really nice, but you don’t have to stay there the night, you can go hang out during the day. It’s not locally owned but foreign owned so if you prefer to promote and support more locally owned and ran places I would check out other spots like Rosa’s lake cabins! Absolutely stunning location and lovely chocolate, and definitely worth it although true that the location is a little annoying without a scooter. Not a bad walk up to the street though and to other hostels like raindan...
There were a few issues such as security, random people not staying in our room and no lockers for valuables. Additionally the room was open air but had not mosquito nets over beds or windows and there were a lot of bugs and wasps. To be fair to pital when this was reported they fixed it very promptly!

Unser Zimmer war riesig und mit Seeblick. Und das Badezimmer war der Hammer. Doppelwaschbecken und super neu. Das Essen vor Ort sich sehr empfehlenswert und das Personal war super hilfsbereit und konnte auch gut englisch.
Our room was huge and with sea view. and the bathroom was the Hammer. double wash basin and super new. the food on site was highly recommended and the staff was super helpful and could also speak good English.
Loved my stay at El Pital! I stayed in the deluxe 6 bed dorm and it was so dreamy! Definitely worth the upgrade. Beds are comfy. Food & drinks are great. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful! Not the most social hostel, however very easy to meet people on the island as there are many others travelling solo!
Lugar top en Ometepe!! Al lado del lago para bañarte o disfrutar de las vistas con tranquilidad, excelente cocina vegana y vegetariana (cara lago comida, eso sí) y el propio paraíso para los amantes del chocolate !! Creo que no me quedó un postre por probar haha las habitaciones amplias y tranquilas, las instalaciones limpias y el personal super amable, mención especial para ángel que me ayudó con todo hasta me dio un ride hasta la carretera para que no perdiera el bus! Volveré!
Top spot in Ometepe!! next to the lake to bathe or enjoy the views in peace, excellent vegan and vegetarian cuisine (dear lake food, that's right) and the very paradise for chocolate lovers!! i think i didn't have a dessert left to try haha the spacious and quiet rooms, the clean facilities and the super friendly staff, special mention for angel who helped me with everything until he gave me a ride to the highway so i wouldn't miss the bus!
nice hostel directly at the lake. the food at the restaurant is very good but a bit expensive. in the showers were sooo many bugs.. the dorm was fine though

The staff is very nice and the restaurant has a beautiful chill area. But staying in a dorm is not good. The beds are uncomfortable, the keys didn’t really work and they don’t have mosquito nets even though it’s an open area. I cannot recommend booking a dorm.
We spent 4 nights there. The view ist breathtaking. The Restaurant also looks stunning. The Yoga teacher Ohm and her Yoga class were definitely a Highlight. Booking her Yoga is a must! Yet, the accomodations were rather dirty and the staff is not particularly nice or welcoming to their guests.
Nous avons passé un séjour dans le magic bus qui était très confortable, nous nous sommes très bien senti. Toutefois le personnel n'est pas très accueillant et souhaite faire payer pour toute action sur place (impossible de manger ses produits sur la terrasse hors restau, 1ere info à notre arrivée : checkout tardif = 10$ par heure...). Le restaurant est toutefois très bon mais impossible de cuisiner et loin des comedors.
We spent a stay in the magic bus which was very comfortable, we felt very good. however the staff is not very welcoming and would like to charge for any action on site (impossible to eat its products on the terrace outside the restaurant, 1st info on arrival: late check-out = 10$ per hour...). the restaurant is however very good but impossible to cook and far from the dining rooms.

Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und die Lage ist wirklich schön. Die Gemeinschaftsbäder hätten sauberer sein können.
The food is incredibly delicious and the location is really nice, the communal baths could have been cleaner.
This is a little jungle paradise. The dorm room is better so you can see and hear all the wildlife around you. It does keep the mozzys out which was a concer at first. The showers and bathrooms are outside which is cool just watch out for spiders. The constant smell of chocolate was fantastic and it was so great having such an outstanding restaurant next to our room. The staff are super friendly and you can join the yoga for $5 every day and it was a really great practice.
Nous avons passé un bon séjour à l’hostel, le dortoir deluxe offre une superbe vue sur le lac, cependant le logement n’est pas extrêmement propre, nous n’avions pas d’eau chaude et des travaux juste sous nos fenêtres dès 6h du matin. Le restaurant est chouette si vous aimez manger vegan. Je ne recommande pas vraiment la laundry, c’est assez cher et pas très soigné.
We had a great stay at the hostel, the deluxe dorm offers a superb view of the lake, however the accommodation is not extremely clean, we did not have hot water and work right under our windows from 6am. the restaurant is cool if you like to eat vegan. i really do not recommend the laundry, it is quite expensive and not very neat.
Quiet not a very social hostel but felt like a hotel escape we stayed in the privates and loved it food was delicious easy scooter rental
