If you’re desperate stay here I guess. Bugs in every corner of the rooms. Spiders and millions of ants crawling in every crack and crevice. The workers no where to be found or playing loud videos on their phone. The surrounding houses sounded like a zoo throughout the entire night. Kept gross here, got sick and had to stay a second night sadly.
A really weird hostel with the worst social vibe ever. No hangout spots or community area. The dorm rooms are really bad, just single beds close to each other without a single sense of privacy. The rooms weren’t really clean as well but the kitchen is okay
Lots of potential here, but it missed the mark for us. Private room is comfy, but the gate and door are unlocked at night, which didn’t make us feel very safe. There was only one other guest and the vibe was weird, the inside communal space is small. The kitchen doesn’t have enough utensils and there are NO sharp knives. Overall, ok value for the price we paid.
Misleading info regarding air conditioning. We booked this room as in the property description they mention that two rooms have air conditioning and the room we booked had air conditioning in pictures. When we arrived we asked for the remote for the air conditioning and were told it would be an additional $28 USD per night for the air conditioning. This is more than the room itself cost. This extra fee is not made clear on the description and hopefully can be added on. Otherwise good stay.

Insgesamt würden wir die Unterkunft für Backpacker mit einfachem Standard weiterempfehlen. Zimmer war mit einem Bett und Ventilator ausgestattet. Das Bad war etwas klein. Die Gemeinschaftsküche war zum Kochen ordentlich ausgestattet. Für Ausflüge und Rollervermietung war das Personal immer offen und hat alles arrangiert. Ein kleiner Nachteil. Im Nachbarhaus werden mehrere Hunde gehalten, die bei uns beide Nächte lang durchgehend sehr laut gebellt haben.
Overall we would recommend the Backpacker Accommodation with Simple Standard. The room was equipped with a bed and a fan. The bathroom was somewhat small. The communal kitchen was properly equipped for cooking. For excursions and scooter rentals the staff was always available and arranged everything. A small disadvantage. In the neighboring house several dogs are kept, which have been barking very loudly at us for both nights.
This hostel was fine. We booked a double room. It was clean and the staff were nice. There are cheaper places though.

Die Küche war leider sehr dreckig und nicht gut ausgestattet. Hatte ein Bett im Dorm gebucht und bei meiner Ankunft einfach so ein Upgrade auf ein Einzelzimmer bekommen. Konnte dort zwei Nächte zum Preis vom Dorm schlafen. Ist aber glaub ich nicht perfekt zum Leute treffen.
Unfortunately the kitchen was very dirty and not well equipped. had booked a bed in the dorm and on my arrival just got an upgrade to a single room. could sleep there two nights for the price of the dorm. but i don't think it's perfect for meeting people.

Wegen der Nebensaison war es sehr ruhig im Hostel (was genau das war, was wir wollten), aber in der Hauptsaison ist hier wahrscheinlich einiges los. Das Hostel bietet auf jeden Fall viel Potenzial für ein geselliges Miteinander. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, die Matratzen sind bequem und das Zimmer (Nummer 3) ist groß und war sauber. Wir sind ein paar Tage später nochmal für zwei Nächte wiedergekommen.
The hostel definitely offers a lot of potential for a social get-together. the kitchen is well equipped, the mattresses are comfortable and the room (number 3) is large and was clean. we came back a few days later for two more nights.
+ My experience is slightly special because I came during the low season and was the only person in the hostel aside from the owners and their children. I had booked a bed in a 6-people dormitory so the unexpected intimacy was nice. I loved the green exterior and the hamacs. The hostel is a bit further from the more busy streets so the ambiance was quite calm. The owner was nice and helped me with a few things, although he was not always present. Cheap price, essential amenities, ideal if you're a backpacker with simple needs. For some reason the hostel page on Booking mentions no access to a wifi connection, but when I got there the owner shared the wifi with me right away.
- The downsides of being a traveler during low season certainly became apparent during my stay. One of the reasons why I chose this hostel was because the breakfast was included (as mentioned on the Booking page). Unfortunately this was not the case. I assume that it is because I was the only traveler staying. In my opinion, this is not a good reason to not provide it, so I was disappointed. There's also a cute bar on the front yard, but it remained closed for the entirety of my stay and I could only imagine what it looked like during the high season. I also realized that the dormitory would not be very convenient when fully occupied as the space is very tiny, there are only one or two plugs, and the space to get to the shower/bathroom is really narrow without knocking yourself on one of the beds. So, despite the loneliness that became more and more overwhelming, I was glad to be alone in the room.

Very good value for money. Lovely staff, and nice garden with big hammocks. Didn’t feel super safe with unlocked gate/door- anyone could walk in and no 24 hour security. The room was quite hot. But everything was clean and kitchen could have a few more supplies…overall really great for a night or two and super convenient!

Cheap private room and good location (walking distance from port). The kitchen was dirty and there were not many supplies.
