Just don’t do it

The carpets were so dirty, cigarette bits in passage bins, bathroom beyond horribly grimy. Aircon didn’t work properly. Beds lumpy. We didn’t stay and they gave us a refund. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The place was very dirty, dead bugs in the room etc., and my door did not lock. However, I was able to get a refund for the staff and they were very nice.

They didn't clean the sheets after the last person. How do I know? There was some random hair in them when I inspected the bed. The *private* bathroom also had someone elses hair in it. The mattress was stained. Only plus was there were no bedbugs. The outlets appeared to have shorted at some point based on their appearance and were thus a fire hazard so I couldn't sleep with the heater in the middle of February. Not a good experience

Please, please, never choose this place. Is the worst place to stay. No heater, it’s freezing, is not clean at all. Spiders and other “little animals”. AWFULL

Way overpriced, such poor value for money thst it's a lesson in being more cautious and the need to book further ahead when more choices available.

Muy mala atención por parte del personal de día, nunca hay nadie en el lobby, al tocar el timbre del acceso principal no son accesibles para abrir, es el lugar más sucio que me he hospedado en mi vida, los colchones son muy viejos, sucios y sin forma, solicité que cambiaran las sábanas porque estaban sucias, solicité que aspiraran el tapete porque estaba lleno de suciedad, el muy mal el estado general del lugar, parece una casa del terror más que un hospedaje.

Taking into account the price/quality ratio, it's the worst place I've ever stayed at, and I've been to quite a few across different continents. It's completely run down, smelly, floors are squeaky, paint is coming off the walls, restroom is dirty. I was literally afraid to walk in my room in just socks and had to put on my shoes on. I think it should be shut down immediately and completely refurbished. The only positive thing I can think of is that the bedsheets were clean and I survived.

This was the WORST HOSTEL I’ve ever stayed in my life. I’ve travelled around the world and never have I stayed somewhere so disgusting. There was BLACK MOLD in the bathroom sink and shower. The room door doesn’t lock from the inside and the room smells really badly. I felt extremely unsafe as a woman traveling alone. I’ve never written a bad review for a hostel before, but I have to warn y’all: DO NOT STAY HERE.

The bathrooms are in need of repair, and the space needs an update carpets were stained and beyond their life span. However, it was in a location that was convenient for my needs and provided a decent place to sleep.

Great location surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops. Easy to get around town from there with buses and trains not far. Easy to walk around the neighborhood. I enjoyed my stay. Good for no fuss business travelers who know their way around town and who are autonmous in Boston.

Just don’t do it

Great little spot! Quiet and secure and i was pleasantly surprised that there was an ac unit in my room!

If you’re used to communal living (college or uni dorms) you’ll be fine. If you’re expecting very hands on staff and the likes I’d reccomend budgeting more for accommodations. Bathroom was decently clean, and room was also clean.

Great location. Easy to get to via public transit. The concierges do a good job of maintaining order. I slept well. The bed in my private room was very comfortable.

Terrible place overall. Filthy and insalubrious. Staff was made aware.

Window: impossible to close entirely, because of unprofessional AC mounting. Heating radiators not functioning, even in late October. Lots of carpet stains. Bed mattress far too soft - must have been used by thousands of people. Overall shabby impression. Building not renovated for how many decades? a century? Given the astronomically high hotel rates in Boston, this hostel can charge 100 to 150 dollars for a single room w/ shared bath in such a place, more expensive than a hostel in Manhattan.

This hostel was very safe. Staff was super friendly and helpful when I wanted to extend check out time. Good location. Convenient spot to walk to restaurants and the T. Overall great experience.

Gente amable. Muchas posibilidades si arreglaran un poco más la propiedad y limpiaran más. Estaba sucio y unas de las camas se desmonto según nos tumbamos.

"Chris' was exceptionally kind to me when I checked in. Chris immediately saw that I am an older person and he made a huge effort to find a more convenient room than what the computer had reserved for me. He carried my suitcase and backpack to the other location a block away. I was tired from travel and greatly appreciate how kind Chris was to me. Thank you, Chris.

good accommodation, it's an apartment with several bedrooms and common rooms (bathroom,kitchen,living). staff was very nice and attentive. wifi was newly installed and worked well. the rooms and beding were clean, bathrooms too. it would be nice if the floors were mopped once in a while. our apartment had a kitchen, but the stove was broken, so we cooked in the other apartment. there was no kitchen equipment besides a pan and pot.

Not a good experience

Reasonable. Good location. Lots of nearby eateries. The room was okay. Single occupant so plenty of space. The sink in the room was hard to access and the shelves next to it were very dirty. Mattress was old and lumpy but it didn’t cause me to lose sleep. I’ll stay here again if they don’t raise the rates.
