Pagration Youth Hostel

The 1pm check in & free luggage storage was nice. During check in, George was great, Terry was kinda creepy. The hostel was in a sketchy, dirty location and far from the nice part of Athens. The rooms were really stuffy & there were no privacy curtains. i dont recommend this hostel.

Ayant eu une urgence personnelle m'obligeant à partir après la première nuit, je ne regrette absolument pas ce départ précipité... De toutes les auberges où j'ai logé, cet endroit est de loin le pire. À éviter absolument (selon moi).

La cocina deja mucho que desear sucia , súper vieja , desorden , daba asco coge r algún cubierto , los sartén viejísimos , los cubierto asco,los aseos descuidados! Hace falta limpieza a fondo y renovarse un poco , sobre todo el sitio de cocina

Run away !!! Bed bug ! My friend and I are infected with pimples and these nasty critters have invaded our belongings and left them in the room!! It is unacceptable !! Don't come here!!!

Don’t book this hostel!!! I had bugs in my bed, the rooms smell terrible, it’s far away from the center and the public transport is not always working, there are not enough bathrooms and they are very small. The showers are like prison and you have no space to hang your towels. The kitchen and the bathrooms are super dirty. The power outlets heat up my devices very fast and you can see some small lightning bolts. This hostel should not be on Hostelworld and is not good !!!

Kein warmes Wasser, absolut überfüllt mitsamt Obdachlosen (?) die im Fernsehraum geschlafen haben. Nur 1 steckdosenleise inner Ecke für 6 Personen im Zimmer. Gab keine Bettdecken nur komische Wolldecken. Hab mehrere tote Insekten in meinem Bett und Zimmer gefunden. Würde definitiv nicht wiederkommen.

Far from everything, stressed out staff, dirty sheets, dirty showers, moldy food everywhere in the kitchen, no ac at all, way to less plugs in the room and far away from the beds, wouldnt recommand at all ... pay a few euro more and have a nice hostel

Staff were nice, the rooms weren’t clean, no charger sockets near bunks and no AC

I don’t like writing bad reviews, but thought it would be necessary for people looking to book here. I left after one night because other people found bedbugs in their room. Me and the other people in my room searched for them and they were also found in our room. Who knows how many rooms they are in. The manger didn’t seem embarrassed or apologetic that we found bedbugs. He sounded so offended when we said we would rather leave than switch to another room. The price is low for a reason.

Best hostel I’ve been to in a long time. Homely atmosphere and all staff is super friendly! I’ll definitely come back :)

Had a great stay! Was clean, everyone was very friendly and I was able to check in late which I appreciated. Definitely could stand to have a shelf or two for the upper bunks especially.

Stuff are friendly prices above the acceptations. Rooms not that much good and the furnitures were so old and the comfort not that good. Some people had thrown my socks into trash Bin. I think they weren’t happy with the fact I didn’t washed them with their machine but it is very stupid to use a whole machine to clean on pair of sucks and at the end one the stuff asked me to bring my linen to the reception before I leave ???

Great hostel! Twenty minutes walk to the centre of Athens, safe, lots of shops nearby and Terry and George were lovely and so helpful! Plugs by beds and facilities were all clean

The place is lovely, very cosy and makes you feel like you're at a friend's house. The environment is clean and comfortable, the location is good, but the differnce is made by the staff, always smiling and helpful, welcomes its guests in a light atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

Maybe my favorite hostel I've ever stayed in— reminded me that authentic hostel experiences as they once were, where people really care about genuine connection, is not all gone. I arrived at Pagration in a disoriented state, and when George welcomed me at the door, it felt like I was arriving home. Staying here definitely made my time in Athens as special as it was. Met lovely people, sweet atmosphere all around, great kitchen. Thank you to George and Terry for cultivating community joy!

Ist ein gemütliches Hostel von den man gut Ausflüge von machen kann. Das cafe Crispie ist sehr zu empfehlen die haben auch gute vegane Speisen. Und es ist echt angenehm das man auch noch um 0 Uhr anreisen kann.

had an amazing stay at pagration youth hostel! such an amazing, cozy atmosphere and george is truly the best & kindest! its a 30min walk from the center, but in a very nice area, so totally fine! if you are visiting athens, go stay at pagration!!

george was nice and available but i wasnt exactly in the mood for conversation after having spent 7hrs travelling prior, the hostel has kept the old traveller/backpacker vibe, in the night you can hear everything happening outside, the courtyard, the street

Lovely staff, feels almost historical with a lot of character !! Terry always happy to help ! So many gatherings and good conversations ..

Cette auberge est comme une grande colocation. Clients et personnel vivent en parfaite harmonie sur un même pied d'égalité. Le quartier n'est peut-être pas très touristique, mais c'est justement ce qui fait son charme ! et cela vous favorisera à rencontrer les locaux qui sont des personnes adorables. De plus, vous serez proche d'un arrêt de métro et le centre ville n'est vraiment pas très loin à pied. Je recommande vivement, les deux hôtes sont vraiment le petit plus qui vous y fait y...

Ostello perfetto e comodo come posizione. Il personale è gentilissimo e disponibile. L'atmosfera è amichevole e confortevole. 10/10

cute hostel great to stay in for one night but bathrooms were a bit rough

This hostel was wonderful because it still had ambience, the owners who opened it in the 60s where such sweeties, I was there in the low season but they’re so chill about adding a night to your stay. George was such a welcoming helpful guy, so open to even just chat with the people staying. The other guys a bit wacky,I just wouldn’t take this personally. The beds and dorms are simple and clean, same as bathroom kitchen wasn’t very big but it worked. Social environment, and lovely convos!

Ein stabiles Hostel gut gelegen in Athen. Nicht extrem sozial, es gab keine Events, aber in der Küche und im Ess Bereich konnte man gut Leute kennenlernen. Mittelgroße Töpfe in der Küche wären noch super gewesen. George war super toll, nett und hilfsbereit.
