Up! Hostel Valencia

Bunks are metal and very squeaky. Under bed storage was broken and didn’t lock. When I opened it, a cockroach ran out. Bathrooms disgusting, was blood on the toilet paper dispenser. No area for changing in the showers, you’re naked in the open with lights that time off after 5 mins. Common area in photos was booked for an event from 1pm to 12am the day I arrived with no warning. The party was loud, laying in bed was like being in a night club. I booked a hotel and left. Don’t recommend.

Just awful. No atmosphere, dirty rooms and run-down facilities. Staff are RUDE and very bothered by your presence. Loud noises all night and guests are expected to take care of everything

- Had to pay $7 if you wanted help from front desk to check in, otherwise you must download an app and do it yourself (even if you’re in a new country with no app downloading service) - had to rent towels - location is not where it says it is on maps - I rented for 2 and they said I only rented for 1, only changed their mind when I showed a screenshot of my rental for 2 - no blankets in the bed just a sheet

Al in veel hostels geslapen en dit is een van de minste. Ten eerste: we kwamen aan en er waren geen dekens voorzien. Men vond het niet nodig om ons ter voorzien. Binnenkort gaat een bed ook niet meer nodig zijn, als we zo beginnen. Personeel (niet allemaal, natuurlijk) niet erg vriendelijk maar vooral: compleet afgeleefd en oud. Douches werkten niet, vocht overal en alles heel klein. Moet absoluut gerenoveerd worden want de locatie is leuk (in een station en centraal). Alles bric à brac!

not very good. the room was so small. the beds have so much noise. bathroom has a bad smell. busy because of train station. I don't recommand.

My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights instead of 4 and left early because we just couldn’t face staying here. The location is convenient, some of the staff are nice and the common area with the bar gives the appearance of the hostel being well maintained and looked after - it’s not! The rooms are pretty grim, feel quite dirty. Do not stay here if you are looking for a good hostel experience! Stay here if you are getting the train very early perhaps.... but that is the only amenity. There is no kitchen, laundry (even though one of the features is washing machines...), the most stale place. So cramped in the rooms sometimes I couldn't get out if everyone was in the room. Literally feels like prison.

Keine richtige Küche, die Zimmer sind sehr klein und die Betten sehr laut. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls sehr klein und eher dreckig. Zudem hat der Wasserhahn zeitweise nicht funktioniert. Die Lobby ist sehr schön und die Mitarbeiter sehr nett. Die Lage ist perfekt!!!

Okay hostel.

En la habitación que era solo para mujeres entró un hombre de la calle no tenía reserva, no me explico cómo pudo entrar a la habitación sin reserva. Tienen que tener más cuidado con las personas que entran al hotel.

Excelente hostel, comodidad, tranquilidad y centrico. Ademas ubicado en la misma estacion de tren lobque aporta cierto exotismo.

Up! is a very modern hostel, but it lacks the appropriate maintenance and facilities. Neither my Aisle or Bedroom door locked/shut consistently, there was only one shower per section, leading to a noticeable shortage, and the clientele of the hostel itself was peculiar and rather dirty. While it had some redeeming qualities, I certainly wouldn’t stay with Up! Again.

the staff were lovely. the beds and storage were unbelievably squeaky so you couldn’t do anything without intense sound. the showers were never “clean”. if you wanted to shower, you had to go in naked as no room for your items. meaning walking around naked. the shower/toilets also had a timer meaning that you would be in the dark after 10 seconds. men of 30-40+ also stay here, warning for younger women as my room had two men and so did many other rooms.

the staff working here were so amazing to us. the young girls behind the bar were so friendly and up for a chat. in terms of the room it was good for the value of money , nothing special and very basic however it did the job, however bring an eye mask and the beds don’t block out much light. the place was clean and perfect for what we needed it for , a nice location aswell for the city however it’s further away from the beach/ science park

I spent two nights at up hostel Valencia and all in all it was a very good experience. If you are looking for a simple but safe and clean accomodation next to the train station, it's a good choice. It does not have a kitchen, just a microwave and a fridge. The common area is spacious but not very cozy which takes away from the typical hostel ambiance. That's why I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay or if you want to meet new friends.

Very nice staff and the location inside the train station is unique and was actually good. I thought I would hear a lot of noise or some noise; however, I did not hear the trains. There is a modern common area to relax and eat. Plenty of shops and places to eat nearby.

Leider war der Aufenthalt nicht wie erwartet. Es war wenig Platz in den Zimmern, das Bad war klein, eine Dusche defekt und keine Ablage für Sachen die trocken bleiben sollten. Der Eintritt mit App ist Ok aber man muss das Mobil immer mitnehmen, so dass es beim Duschen dann offen herrumliegt. Es ist mir nix passiert und die Mitarbeiterinnen sind sehr freundlich aber es ist kein sichereres Gefühl. Die Möbel im Gemeinschaftsbereich könnten mal ausgetauscht werden.

ONE of the two shower stalls is broken. The sink was loose, enough that it felt it was going to come off the wall. The room itself felt like a prison with no window to open. The security was next level as you needed a key to enter the hall, to then to your room. The staff was okay, not great but also not helpful. This felt like a cheap hotel instead of a hostel, with a host to make you feel like someone. I woke up with over 6 bug bites on my body… I’m not saying there are fleas but …

Die Lage ist echt super, leider für einen längeren Aufenthalt ohne Küche ein bisschen schwierig. Wenn man aber auch auf einen Herd verzichten kann, passt das. Alles in allem war es sauber.

Very cold at night. They don’t provide any blankets. Shelf on the bed really dusty. Cleaners very loud and noisy, they don’t care if someone is sleeping or resting in the room.

Yes, it was literally inside a train station. Unfortunately, I could hear the trains at night. Also, the host absolutely not a social hostel didn’t meet any people at all. Some people looked sketchy or were easily above 45 years. The common area is most of the time empty. Also, the eight bedroom is really narrow, you don’t have a lot of space. Other than that, it was a clean room with mostly clean facilities.
