+ A very convenient place to stay in Taganga. The hosts are amazing, and super friendly and accommodating! Basic but decent breakfast. Access to the kitchen so I could cook my own food was great!
- The location in town can be a bit noisy. Neighbours partying late into the night and roosters crowing.
Unser Aufenthalt im Macabi Hostel war einfach toll! Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und man bekommt jeden morgen gutes Frühstück. Es ist der perfekte Ort zum Relaxen. Die nähe zu den verschiedenen Stränden, Restaurants und dem Supermarkt ist auch gut. Wir durften unsere großen Rucksäcke während unserem Trip nach Tayrona dort lassen. Bei unserer Rückkehr hat es sich angefühlt wie nach hause kommen. Wir waren sehr traurig bei d...
+ The staff is nice and the hostel is quiet and safe. The bed was comfortable and they have some nice cmmon areas.
- The location is in an area that is not so nice, it is not dangerous but doesn‘t feel too pleasant to walk there either. It is actually in Taganga, which is not part of Santa Marta, as I had thought, but not far away either, maybe 10 minutes by bus. Taganga is a bit touristy. If you like the beach, it will be a perfect place. Someone smoked in the hostel so the dorms sometimes smelt of cigarette smoke, which was a bit disgusting.
+ Estuve 2 noches en una habitación para 2 personas por el cumpleaños de mi hermano, la verdad la experiencia de hospedarse en Macabi fue una maravilla, el personal fue demasiado amable durante toda nuestra estancia, compartimos y se hizo más ameno nuestro paso por Taganga, sin duda volveré algún día.

area felt a bit sketchy but the hostel felt safe. the sheets were a bit dusty. The staff was amazing,very friendly and welcoming.

+ Mi familia y yo estamos súper contentos con la estadía en macabi hostal ya que el lugar es cómodo y acogedor para pasar un buen fin de semana. Gracias a la Sra Dora con su bonita personalidad, Camilo y sus demás amigos por la bonita atención que nos brindaron. Recomiendo este hostal por sus servicios muy buenos (cocina, internet, habitaciones y demas) todo super chévere y por su cercanía a playas lindas de Taganga.
Das Hostel an sich ist okey. Camillo ist freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Zimmer war sauber. Die Lage ist okay aber es ist unglaublich laut. Die Nachbarschaft hört extrem laut Musik und man hat keine Sekunde etwas Ruhe. Die Küche war voll mit dreckigem Geschirr und in einem Küchenschrank war eine tote Maus. Ich würde nicht wiederkommen.
I totally loved it here! The owner is the sweetest, helpful with everything, just a very nice person. The hostel is decorated with handmade things and so much love. The atmosphere was family-like, we got different and delicious breakfast everyday with fresh juice and coffee all day. The dorm was spacious, with a terrace and a beautiful view and I could choose my own bed. A very special hostel, I would definitely come back 😊

+ Es un hostel nuevo. Bastante limpio y con todo lo necesario en infraestructura aunque el wifi no llega al cuarto.
- No tienen botiquín de primeros auxilios, me mordió uno de los perros del hostal y no tenia para hacerme las curaciones, el perro es muy territorial y no parece acostumbrado a la gente, ladra cuando alguien esta en la puerta y con mucha facilidad cambia de humor. Me senti incomodo cada vez debia salir del cuarto. Sacando estas 2 cosas todo perfecto.
Our stay was extraordinary. This is not simply a hostel, Dori invites you to her home with all her heart. The facilities are clean, the kitchen has more than you need. The host is super kind and invites you to join her activities and meet her friends. We felt extremely comfortable. Cheap laundry usage, free storage of our luggage for a couple of days, great breakfast and fresh juice. Perfect stay.
Un lugar increíble, el staff es lo mejor, Dora es súper amable y linda como persona, por lo que siempre te vas a sentir bienvenido y feliz )))
Wonderful place run by wonderful people. Feels more like a home than a hostel. Dora and all the staff couldn’t be more welcoming, encouraging and compassionate. Great breakfast and the sweetest animal companions. I can’t recommend highly enough ✨
Absolutely loved my stay! Don’t expect a fancy place, but it’s spotless, clean rooms, fresh linens, and a well-kept common area. The owner and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family. It was one of the most authentic local experiences I had in Colombia. The breakfast is delicious and comes with fresh juice. The area might seem sketchy at first, especially at night, but it’s actually very safe and well located.
I loved that place so much, I had to come back at the end of my trip!
