Sophie's Hostel

This is one of the worst companies in terms of hostels. Their staff is terrible, they are rude, try to tell you things that make absolutely no sense, such as why are you cleaning the cupboard that you put your food in and on top of that cancel your bookings for absolutely no reason other than your details of your bookings being different than those in your profile! On top of that they confiscate cards from other hostels without any reasonable explanation other than they feel like it.

Spend a bit more money and go somewhere else!

The people using the single bathroom on my floor were showering for a while which was fine. What was not fine was how the ground floor bathroom toilet was clogged and I asked to u clog it myself so that I could relieve myself. I was told by the staff that the maintenance person would come in the morning and that I could not have a serviceable toilet until the people on my floor were done showering or until this maintenance person came to remedy the issue. Imagine no plunger on the property, dumb

Avoid at all cost! They scammed me. The staff also gave me a nasty attitude, when I complained about it.

Worst place I have stayed in over the course of my 24 day trip through Europe. No lockers in room, towel deposit, towel rental. The floor in the room 1a5 is falling in around the door threshold, the bathroom is shared between 12 people and was not clean on any level. Nothing provided will never stay there again.

Overall not really a social atmosphere but the staff was what I really didnt like. The staff watched me struggle with my large bag as I was coming to check in, and didnt move to help. During check-in, he said that i was supposed to arrive yesterday. When I told him my flight got changed, he didnt really show any empathy and proceeded to give a lecture on how the bed could have been taken away and I have to make sure to email or call next time. Be wary of your card information as I got an illegitimate charge after I left for approx $71 USD and had to dispute it with my bank.. was a nice stay until that. I’ll not be returning to Sophie’s hostel.

The hostel is not terrible but not great either. If you need somewhere to crash for a night could be a good option but staying more than one night I wouldn’t recommend.

The good: cozy 'vibe' The bad: - lift was broken and I had to climb 4 stories with a leg problem. Staff didn't help me pick up my luggage so it had to be kept downstairs - bathroom didn't have a lock and was very hard to open or close - pillow was CRAZY uncomfortable, definitely not for sleeping - everything had gaps, pillow kept falling off, box to keep stuff had a gap so jewellery kept sliding to the ground - no ACs - metal bed, you will hit hea - all is metal and you will 100%...

I liked my stay here, even it was only one night. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms and showers are clean, the staff is friendly. It's a 20-minute walk from central station away. Only the kitchen could be better, it's quite small.

female bedroom of 5 was great, it's like an apartment so there's a kitchen and a bathroom outside the bedroom that gives a lot of privacy. the bedroom was huge and very luminous. the hostel is not social.

I really enjoyed time there. The rooms are big and comfortable, beds are nice and clean. You also have your own small kitchen, which is really cool. Staff are friendly and helpful. My fav thing about this hostel was actually location. Tram stop was 5min walk from the hostel and it's literally in the centre, so all the popular you would want to visit are nearby. Im glad i chose this hostel and would love to come back.

The beds and the room was so clean. Even tough I stayed with 7 more people I could sleep well thanks to the curtains in the beds. The staff was so nice even tough one of them made a mistake but that’s okay he was new. I definitely recommend it. I saw the lady cleaning the room while I was about to check out. She is definitely doing her job well.

Rooms are massive. there aren’t any curtains but the beds are so far from each other I didn’t mind, unless someone had a light on. the dorm is more like an apartment with a big bathroom and kitchen

ostello non troppo centrale ma comunque vicino alla stazione metro è tram di I.P Paplova bagno enorme meglio di tanti hotel e letto che si poteva oscurare completamente tramite una comoda tendina, nel complesso un ottimo ostello

The atmosphere here is very quiet and not sociable. Far location, but tram stations near by. They offer airport transfers for 30 euros one way on their website. My only issue is the staff, they were not the friendliest or helpful upon receiving. The receptionist made it impossible to buy a lock, and then got mad when I informed her she was confusing me due to her constantly telling me I would lose my deposit if I bought it. Okay stay, but would not stay again.

Amé el hostel. Las personas muy amables, el hostel muy lindo y tranquilo. Lo recomiendo 100%. Dormí en habitación sola y tenía detalles que no he visto en otros hostel es como un hotel muy lindo. De hecho lueho reservé en el hotel de Sophie que también es precioso. I loved the hostel. The people were very friendly, and the hostel itself was lovely and quiet. I highly recommend it. I slept in a private room, and it had details I haven't seen in other hostels; it's like a really nice hotel...

Great hostel. Stayed in a pod and was very comfy. Felt very secure in the whole hostel. Location is a little far out from a lot of the sights but with the metro services being so cheap and extensive it's hardly a problem.
