Hurricane Hostel

Limpeza inexistente. Comodos são ruins assim como os banheiros, ambos compartilhados e sem estrutura nenhuma. Camas bem ruins.

Hostel is super neglected and none of the facilities make sense - 3 floors of beds (I was at the bottom, it feels like you're in coffin with that amount of space), zero space in showers and random toilet in kitchen. The rating was saved by location and vibe - hostel is very social, super friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are absolutely awful though.

The hostel receptionist yelled at me in front of everyone for no reason. I asked if a friend I met that day could come over for drinks and cards, and she agreed as long as he behaved. He caused no issues, but as we were leaving, she asked when we met. I said earlier that day, and she starts yelling that it was “stupid” to call him my friend and threatened to kick me out if I invited him back. She said it was for safety, but yelling made no sense I called him a friend since we spent all day t...

The only good thing about this hostel is the location. You feel dirtier coming out of the shower than going in. The A/C is controlled by the front desk and generally kept off because you only get a top sheet to sleep under. Not much social atmosphere. We asked for a refund for only the last night because a guy came in blasting music and ran across the room naked the night before and they said no. Luggage "storage" is just a corner in the common room. They throw out groceries even with labels.

Very bad experience overall. The bed is broken and I almost fell off from the bed. The dorm room is tiny and doesn't have enough room to put your stuff. And it is very dirty from the dorm room to the toilet to the kitchen. So very bed experience.

This was the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. The air conditioning didn’t work, so it was humid and hot all night, which was extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, due to the heat the entire building smelt like sweaty socks. I also felt pretty unsafe. The front door of the building was unlocked all night and the lock on the door to our room was nonexistent. Thankfully they had lockers, but as for a sense of safety there was absolutely none.

Hostel is cramped, the rooms were small for 9 beds. The hostel had bunk beds of three. Cannot sit up in the bunk beds itself. The bed did not feel secure and creaked a lot. Not a lot of facilities. Pro: Close to the palace, old town and beach. Staff were very nice and friendly, it’s a social hostel overrall. Decent place for 2 nights.

The hostel was ok. The staff were nice, but the hostel setup was a little bit weird and very overcrowded. We only stayed one night.

kind staff but i found the hostel itself to be cramped and not especially clean, particularly the bathrooms. there are only 2 showers for 24 beds. no lights except an overhead one in my room, and no privacy curtains on the bunks, so impossible to read or see properly after others had gone to bed. the bed linens provided are incredibly flimsy. also €15 for laundry seems extremely steep. i've had far better experiences on a comparable budget and was very disappointed.

Great hostel, I stayed there for 3 nights and it was amazing especially the location which is like just outside the palace walls, so it was really convenient

My bus got in around 8:30am so I headed right to the hostel and felt immediately at home! The front desk was sooo welcoming and after a long night of traveling showed me some much-needed hospitality! Fresh coffee and my bed was ready right at check-in! Each night Hurricane has a happy hour with free beer and I met the absolute best people here! Although the rooms are small, the community, location, and staff at Hurricane make it 100% worth it. Cannot WAIT to get to come back!!

Lovely and super helpful staff, location was great being right outside the old city, and my friend and I had a great stay!

Super établissement pour rencontrer des gens et faire la fête. Le personnel est très accueillant. Par contre les portes des chambres ne ferment pas à clef, et les douches sont peu nombreuses par rapport aux nombre de visiteurs. Cependant la localisation est super !

Nice hostel, great location right behind Diocletian's Palace. Facilities clean, and decent vibe to the place with heaps of information available for things to do. Only drawback for me was rooms were quite cramped for space if a few multiple people were in there.

Overall a great hostel right next to the old city making it a great place from which to discover Split! Social hour with free beer every evening is also a great opportunity to meet other travellers and have a nice time!

I loved my stay at hurricane.Its like a Family Hostel,the rooms are few and there is a designated social hour every day so you can make friends easily!

such a great hostel if you're a solo traveller. the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful with everything. thr atmosphere was great, facilities were amazing, vibes were spot on. would 1000% come back if im in split again!!!!

great spot for walking around. everything is basically within a 20 minute walk.

We actually stayed in Empire Hostel not Hurricane. We signed up for a 6 bed but due to repairs at Hurricane ended up in a 10 bed in Empire. First impressions when we arrived the dorm was pretty messy. Lots of clothes and bags strewn about. It grew on us though. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Aaron makes the best use of the limited space in the common areas. Right outside the front door to the right is the Silver Gate to the Diocletian palace and directly next door is a small supermarket.

The hostel is a short walk to the lake, the workers were so friendly and gave great recommendations, the showers and toilets were individual and could be locked for privacy, the kitchen was big enough, the balcony had a great view of the church, the pub downstairs had great atmosphere and cheap drinks! Overall the best hostel I’ve stayed at and the cheap price was a bonus!
