- Do not book this hotel for the Sumida River Fireworks — ever. I chose this hotel specifically because of its rooftop terrace, which offers a view of the fireworks. I even paid nearly 30% more than the usual rate, expecting to enjoy the event as advertised. At no point during the booking process — or even after — was there any mention that the rooftop would be unavailable. Only upon check-in did the hotel casually inform us that the rooftop had been rented out for a private event and was closed to guests. No advance notice, no email, nothing. They had every opportunity to let us know ahead of time, and they chose not to. This felt like a deliberate decision to withhold information while cashing in on the fireworks crowd. It’s dishonest, and frankly, unacceptable. If you’re thinking of booking this hotel for the Sumida fireworks — don’t. You cannot trust them to honor the very thing you’re likely paying a premium for. Avoid.

- camera piccolissima, finestra non apribile.
+ rooftop
- - i was put on lower floor with no view (even numbers ending rooms) - staff are not very welcoming - no bath salts - NO DRINKING WATER - No space under the bed - ONLY 1 HARD pillow and very thin pajamas is provided - Very limited space - Too far from train stations - Not very safe as only lower ground will act as safety measure to ride on the lift. So you can roam around to different floors with no extra safety measures. - No Luggage room. Luggages end up in the lobby daily. No space.
+ breakfast was not included the staff were very friendly and helpful
- the room was so very very small i had to sleep next to the wall and wake my husband up and get him to get up so i could get out bed. no wardrobe just to cloths hooks with 2 hangers
+ The room was styled with the best use of its given space. The hotel on the outside looked decent
- The room even though it says twin bed for 2. Was not meant for 2. The room had no space for 2 luggage to be placed on the floor. The room was so small that it's actually meant for only 1 occupant. Room internal air-conditioning could not go colder than 15 degrees as the staff reasons that it's winter. Here is the problem, outside is colder than 15 degrees, so 15 degrees in the room is hot. So I had to sleep with the windows open to cool the room. What was scary, was me waking up to someone trying to enter my room in the middle of the night twice! So there is plenty not to like. From the room being unable to accommodate more than 1 big luggage, the internal air-conditioning system restricting what temperature you can be in to having your safety in the room threaten

+ The location is the only positive about this hotel.
- I was charged for checking in ONE hour early (there is no policy stating that) and when addressed with the manager, all he could say it’s a common practice in Japan (which is a lie, as I’ve been many times before). No apologies, no refund, and they also have a policy to charge you for a full night stay if you check out ONE minute late (see picture). Room was a shoebox, only bed and a tiny hallway to the bed (I’m 5”2, 100 lbs and barely managed).

Very helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere and very central.
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. Everyone is so wonderful and lovely. I was sick while staying here and everyone was so caring. I would definitely stay here again. 🤍
The staff were all wonderful and kind throughout my entire stay. Its in an amazing location right beside the shopping street and Sensō-ji temple. Via google maps I actually walked through the temple grounds to get there which was very cool. I spent a lot of time just walking through the streets and checking out shops as well as the temple and it was in an amazing spot. The Cafe also had food which I never ordered but it seemed good and I was would absolutely go back again.
Good hostel at super location. The staff at reception desk are very helpful and friendly. Community kitchen is a big plus.
Nice hostel if you want to visit Tokyo it's perfectly located in Asakusa
Fine stay! My dorm was appropriately spaced but really smelly
Very good location and friendly, polite staff. However, there are downsides to the hostel: * The bathrooms need updating. There are only two female toilets, two showers, and two sinks per floor, which is not enough. * The facilities feel quite old and could use some maintenance and care. For example, the paper towel dispenser is broken, so you have to pull the paper out by hand—something that should be easy to fix. * The bathroom doors don’t close properly, and the same issue applies to ...
Cant say anything bad about this hostel, clean enough, staff is ok, located just next to a major attraction. The atmosphere was just not it though. If are a solo traveler looking for a social hostel you might want to choose another property
First time staying in hostel and they’ve really set the bar. Staff was attentive and friendly, Rooms were comfortable and secure. Really looking forward to my next japan trip
It was just ok for a night. No plugs to charge in room. The facilities were ok, water pressure was nice. 24/7 cafe was nice. Location was good. Not a social atmosphere.

+ It was on the edges of a brilliant area for someone first visiting Tokyo, but also near residential so quiet and calm. The rooftop view is a great added bonus. It was clean and everyone was polite. The brekkie was lovely.
- The basic room our children had was small but I understand normal for Tokyo. There is no downstairs lounge or relaxing area. Just reception space packed with departing guests’ luggage. Rooms small so if you want a space to chill, there isn’t one.
- RAS
+ Great location. Compact room, but had everything I needed in the way of amenities; kettle, toiletries, slippers and pj's!

+ Struttura moderna e funzionale, molto pulita e ben collegata.
