Hostel Kucha

Lucked out on picking a hostel, such a lovely clean space with a nice kitchen and cute terrace. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful with plenty of tips and recommendations for the city. Showers were awesome. Leaving on a high note 🌸

Very nice hostel with very friendly staff and a nice family vibe! I was welcomed with Bosnian coffee and there's a good bakery almost next door. The old town is just a 15 minute walk away, just the way back is a little steep ;) Next time I'm in Sarajevo I will come back!

Great hostel and staff

Really social, clean, and friendly hostel with a great common room/terrace and good beds. The hostel staff are super friendly and really made me feel comfortable. They helped with any issues I had, and definitely added to the homely feel of the hostel. Special shoutout to Sheyla and Bojan!!!! The location at the top of the hill only takes 10 or so minutes to walk, so really worth it for how good the hostel is. Would definitely recommend to anyone :)

Loved this hostel! The owner is such a sweet woman and the hostel workers were lovely and helpful. It immediately felt like a family and made some cool friends. Sometimes the owner makes delicious banana bread for breakfast (be sure to wake up early enough because it’s gone quickly). Its a maybe 20 minute walk from the main parts of the city but has good food and a grocery store nearby. Workers gave good advice for recommendations around the city as well and gave a detailed map. The location is very nice! Yes, it is going up the Hill like everything else in Sarajevo! It is right next to a Supermarket which is incredibly convenient. Šejla is the life of the hostel, she is very kind, welcoming and super funny! The hosts/volunteers really need to step up when she is not around because you can feel the silence or lack of atmosphere when she is not around. I enjoyed the room and the kitchen area quite a lot. I would definitely stay here again if I am in Sarajevo again.

The Kucha hostel was a pleasant surprise in Sarajevo. Besides being super well-equipped, with an excellent kitchen, a good common area, and a really nice terrace, it has extraordinary staff: Sheyla and Bojan, who are super friendly, helpful, and pleasant, as well as very good-humored. The hostel lives up to its good rating. I highly recommend it and would return.

The hostel is clean, safe, and social… a big part of why I loved visiting Sarajevo. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful (they gave me a lot of tips about the best food and things to see ariund the center). It’s very social and I met a lot of other solo travellers in the kitchen and terrace. There are many things to do in the old town which is only a 15 minute walk away. The location is on top of a hill but the view is worth the climb! Would definitely come back!!

Overall, the hostel was great. I was warmly welcomed as soon as I arrived. The manager was very kind, friendly, and lovely to talk to - the conversation and atmosphere were really nice. It’s definitely a hostel I would choose again.
