I stayed in the hostel just one night, I was not satisfied. It’s not worth the price at all, I expected more and I found better hostels for less. I reserved for an only girls room but there was a guy in it. The rooms are very very small and cannot be closed with keys. Très bien situé, au centre de la vieille ville, tout près des bars et resto. Par contre, il fait extrêmement chaud dans les chambre, aucune aération. On doit garder la fenêtre ouverte toute la nuit, ce qui fait en sorte qu’on entend le club qui est juste à côté toute la nuit et les gens qui font la fête dans les rues. Aucune intimité dans ma chambre car il n’y a pas de rideau pour le lit. Le logement n’était pas propre du tout (salles de bain et cuisine ne semblent jamais être...

This hostel is in great location but it is definitely not worth the price. The lockers in the room I was in don’t lock and WiFi didn’t reach my room. It was quite dirty as well. I wouldn’t go back.

Bed bugs!!!!! This was a super cute hostel which I loved my stay at, amazing vibe. But then I got attacked by bed bugs in the 4 bed female dorm. I saw a the bugs in the bathroom and didn’t know what it was at the time but then over the coming days I accumulated HUNDREDS of bites, and am still suffering; itching, sterilising clothes, bleeding, super stressed out. Don’t get fooled by pictures like us. The worst experience. We booked 4 girls dorm and it was worse than we could imagine. No cleanliness. We went in summer and almost dies of heat, they had the tinnest possible fan over bed and no window for ventilation. The roof top was not maintained and cleaned. I would never suggest this hostel, complete waste of our money

Ich war dort für 2 Nächte im Female Dorm. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer wurde nicht gereinigt während ich dort war, mein Bett war sandig bevor ich es in Benuztung nahm. Auf dem Kopfkissen waren zudem getroknete Tageskontaktlinsen des Vorbesitzers (igitt) . Zudem habe ich dort am ganzen Körper massiv viele Bettwanzenstiche/ Bettbugs! bekommen, die müssen wohl sehr ausgehungert gewesen sein. I got bed bugs from this Hostel. Another customer had the same experience three months ago and they obviously didn't do anything about it yet..

We faced extremely unhygienic conditions in this hostel. The beds were completely infested with bedbugs. We complained to the owner and were transferred to the common room, sleeping on mattresses on the floor. Although, we would have appreciated at least a partial refund, the owner evaded communicating with us by text and did not answer our phonecall, ignoring our complaint. The hostel is located over a bar and the noise is up until late in the night, not to mention only two functioning showers.

Worst hostel I have ever stayed at and the most expensive. The wifi is bad, they advertise breakfast but don’t have any routine breakfast there, very dirty, the whole staff acts like it’s their first day. They are very nice but us d no idea what is going on, this includes the owner. Also they are under heavy construction so good luck sleeping

Great location, cool building, friendly staff

Island Party Hostel was the best hostel experience I’ve ever had! From the moment I checked in, I felt at home and part of the hostel family. Francine truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome and comfortable. The hostel is clean, comfortable, and the pod beds block sound really well. I will absolutely be back and hope to share more drinks, laughs, and good times with Francine and the crew again soon. Cheers!

Really nice hostel. Kitchen had so many things we could use. Beds were clean. The staff was so friendly and nice, we all watched a movie together.

Owners and manager made my experience the best it could've been. Not to mention the beautiful layout of the hostel that compliments it's narrow hallways and thoughtful design. Perfect for groups 10-20 people. Couldn't recommend a better hostel in Lagos.

the most special and amazing place i have ever stayed. in my 4+ months of backpacking and 20+ hostels, i have not stayed in a place so homely, warm, welcoming and comfortable. i felt so at home at the island due to the volunteers, dayna, martina and olaf; along with the beautiful owner, francine. there are so many places to lay around and relax to make yourself comfortable. all the facilities are amazing. i was meant to be there 2 days and stayed for 8! i would come back in a heartbeat 🩷🌈

Disappointing stay. The showers were filthy—mold, grime, and clogged drains. I also left with itchy red bites on my arms, possibly from bed bugs. Cleanliness should be a priority, and unfortunately, it wasn’t here. Staff was polite, but I wouldn’t return unless major improvements are made.

This hostel is one of the best I stayed at in terms of community and atmosphere. Only spent 2 nights and my some great memories The Owners and staff were very friendly and open—I recommend this hostel to everyone The only thing I would say is there is no AC or Fans so rooms were really hot

I thought there were pods like in the photos but there were not. I asked the girl if i could sleep in the lower bunk because the other guest had not arrived yet and i was going to live with boys so would like a bit of privacy. But she said no and didn’t really care. Though cozy and social hostel but a small and not the cleanest hostel.

The staff was super welcoming and the vibe in the hostel was great. The rooms were quite small though and there were only 2 bathrooms, which were not cleaned so often. The beds were also quite uncomfortable, but the family feeling that you get in this hostel is definitely worth it.

We had such a great stay here at the island hostel!! The place has a wholesome, homely feeling that I haven’t experienced at any other hostel before, making for a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. We loooved our stay at The Island Party Hostel! The vibe was super relaxed and everyone was really sweet to us so we felt like home! Also we loved the hostel itself which has a nice kitchen and loads of cosy corners to chill. We especially enjoyed the terraces! The hostel is located very central which made our stay in Lagos super easy. Would always come back! :)

very social Hostel but very dirty! Only 2 Showers for the whole hostel. Staff is very nice but not into cleaning. It‘s definitely only a hostel for partying.

The location is perfect, in the hostel there is a lot of cute space to hang out. But its very dirty, the shower was never clean i was there 3 days no cleaning. The trash was never out. Some girl got bed bugs. The personnel is no help. They are like 22 years old doing the minimum. Dayna did not want to do anything especially the pub crawl she just show us the first bar and left. They have no first aid kit too.

I had the best time there and the staff and the place were so welcoming! Would definitely recommend if you’re solo travelling and want to meet people:)

This hostel was great! It felt like home the minute we arrived when the sisters who ran the hostel and cafe greeted us and checked us into our rooms. One of the hostel and cafe workers, Dayna, was such a rockstar. She took us on a great pub crawl after she cooked up an amazing group dinner! I would definitely stay there again the next time I am in Lagos.

it's a social and welcoming hostel! it's like being part of a family for a few days! I recommend the pub crawl with the friendly staff and Dayna who is really an important part of the social vibe.
