An Lan Jie Hostel

Fine place, good bed, although mine was in the middle with only one wall. I did my laundry in the floor's laundry room. The shower was ok, but no real place to change clothes without getting something wet.

The hostel is nice, it was just a bit empty when I was there. As the rooms & kitchen are on a different floor than the common area, it felt a bit like living in a shared flat.

Stayed here for 2 nights to take the early train to Alishan. The hostel is okay for a short term stay if you don’t plan to hang out much at a hostel since it doesn’t really have a cozy common room. The dorm was fine, the showers were a bit small. The location is great, close to the station and surrounded by nice foodplaces and close to a few great nightmarkets.

Decent hostel. Great location near the train station for visits to Alishan etc… good value for money. Free tea/coffee. Nice showers. Beds with privacy curtains. To improve: No social vibe when I visited, and odd layout with the sinks almost in the social area. The room key makes a noise when you enter which can wake you up. Lockers a bit small.

Clean and safe could have a good social atmosphere but there was non when I was there

The room smelled moldy cause the curtains around the bed were moldy. No socializing at all

Good for one night. The air in the room is a bit moist. You have to go up and down with the elevator and that's uncomfortable. Price-Quality is okay

This place is okay for a short stay, but I wouldn't recommend it. There were 4 guests including myself staying when I stayed and the hostel staff put us all in the same room. This might have been fine, but the two older gentlemen snored loudly as seems to be typical, and I had a bad night's sleep. There was no cold drinking water, and the sink space for the bathroom was in the common area and on camera.

Such an amazing hostel! Many thanks to the staff for helping me out with the check-in process. The laundry and dryer facilities are quite affordable, and I appreciate the cute kitchen and bathroom accommodations. The space was very clean and comfortable. The staff also offered many tips for exploring Chiayi City and Alishan. Overall, a wonderful experience!
