I'm extremely disappointed with this hostel. I will never return. I arrived at 10 PM exhausted after riding my bike there, but they had only approved the bike inside a box. The receptionist (António) said NO with zero empathy, even though the hostel is decorated with real bikes on the walls. He gave me a 20-minute sermon instead of taking me to my room. BED BUGS. When I arrived some people in my dorm trying to sleep so I didn’t do the usually bed bug check… big mistake. As I was packing up I noticed a very large dead bed bug on the curtain. When checking the bed, he pillow inside the pillow case was COVERED with reddish brown spots. It would have been impossible for house keeping to not notice. unfortunately I can't recommend. customer service was not great, I didn't feel like they had the traveler's comfort in mind. "We're sad" you were uncomfortable but we can't do anything about it is not good enough. Beautiful building and comfy bed. but i dont recoomend then 14 person dorm, there is too much noise to be able to sleep, even with earplugs.

Booked the shared dorm in November. It rained a lot in the night and there was water pouring through the ceiling the whole night, room was flooded in the morning. Upon informing the staff I didn't even receive an apology and had to checkout and wait till 3pm to check in again. they moved me to a cheaper room and didn't even offer the difference. When I asked they said i would have to email. Nothing ever came of it. Would have been happy with an apology and a coffee. Wouldn't rebook

This hostel is really just a room to sleep and put your things in. It doens't have a kitchen or common area besides the pub downstairs. The rooms are tiny but you are in a great location.

Lovely stay, good food/staff/environment. However bug bites were a thing. Staff did clean everything for free and took appropriate measures.

Das Hostel hat soviel Potential, nur leider wurden zu der Zeit als ich dort war unser Dorm beklaut. Einen Tag später auch ein anderer. Die Schließfächer waren alle offen, der Manager hatte absolut kein Verständnis und sagte nur die Schließfächer wären nicht „richtig geschlossen“ geworden. Hat uns für blöd verkauft. Schade! Good and clean hostel, but not that sociable. Rarely a few people sat in the common room.

Die Betten sind eine absolute Fehlkonstruktion, 7 Better sind miteinander verschweißt. Wenn sich einer bewegt, wacht man auf. Habe ich kaum geschlafen

The location and staff of this property are great but there are a few things not as advertised. The kitchen isn’t usable until mid day and even at midday there would be a professional chef in there preparing staff meals so you could only really use the kitchen in the evening times. The roof was leaking on several of the beds and in the lobby and the staff had to place buckets and towels under holes in the walls.

Great hostel, feels more like a hotel. The facilities are great, and it was very clean. The beds were big. Amazing breakfast, especially since it’s included. Staff was great. Not very social. It’s not far from the centre, but the location could be better.

The location is amazing, the view is the most beautiful (facing Porto). It is walking distance to the metro and one of the best spots to see the sunset (Jardim do Morro). There’s a nice lounge where you can have breakfast, a glass of Porto during happy hour, or before bed (the bar is open until midnight). Breakfast was a plus. Great location, awesome service and super comfy — totally recommend!

The location is unbeatable, right by the Douro River, and just a short walk to the bridge. The space and facilities are also fantastic. The common areas are very spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing, chatting, or just hanging out. The rooms are surprisingly large as well. There’s also plenty of personal space to store your belongings.The beds, which are made from repurposed wine barrels — such a unique and local touch. The bathroom setup is also very convenient

I liked the location, equipped with coded lockers, very clean, friendly staff, I didn't like the fact that the rooms cannot be ventilated, they have fixed windows. that cannot be opened. The quality-price ratio is good.

Beautiful hostel, big rooms and beds, and clean bathrooms. They offer the best hostel breakfast I’ve ever had and it’s free. Pretty much everything, especially bars, are on the other side of the river but it honestly only takes like 10min tops to cross the bridge on foot. I’d recommend going to the Sandeman wine cellar directly below and doing the “classic” tasting with a chocolate truffle.

The facility is beautiful. The beds are big and comfortable. The bathroom was in my dorm area. The lockers were big enough to keep all my stuff- a carryon & backpack plus more space. It was cleaned daily and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too! I am not spoiled for other hostels... :)
