I booked an 8-bed dorm with two bathrooms and air con for over £55 with fees. The bunk beds were very noisy and unstable, making it hard to sleep. The air con didn’t work, so the room was boiling and we had to open the window, which made it very noisy. One bathroom was also unusable due to a blocked shower drain and a broken toilet. Definitely not worth the money. Staff were told and didn’t care someone in the room said it’s been like that for 3 days room 306
For generator I think the standards of the property weren't great, I had booked in a deluxe private room, the bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress would keep falling off the cot, the bathroom door dint close property and the ac never worked. it wasn't at all what i hoped for it to be. a little disappointed i would say
My experience was extremely disappointing. I had made two separate reservations: one for three nights sharing a room with my sister, and a second reservation for myself for the following nights. At check-in, I explicitly asked the receptionist whether I needed to check out and check back in between the two reservations. L'ostello, nonostante sia tenuto bene, è abbastanza piccolo e situato in una zona che non dovrebbe richiedere dei prezzi così alti. La mia stanza singola era molto buia durante il giorno, l'arredamento era scarno e le pareti da ritinteggiare... Il prezzo della stanza è veramente un furto.
Prices too high for single rooms and services offered. my room was not worth 113€ a night. the hostel, despite being well maintained, is quite small and located in an area that should not require such high prices. my single room was very dark during the day, the furnishings were scanty and the walls to be painted... the price of the room is really a steal.
The worst hostel experience i’ve ever had. First of all, it’s located near Rome Termini which is quite a sketchy area. Secondly, I had an uncomfortable experience involving a man in my dorm whilst staying here, and had to check out early because I felt so uneasy and unsafe. The staff were made aware of this but told me they had no spare rooms or beds and that there was nothing they could do. There were quite carless and there was no sympathy or help offered by them. There was also no refund ...
DO NOT GO HERE IF UNDERAGED. We are minors but one of us was 18. We have been travelling through all of europe for a month. There were no problems in ANY SINGLE hostel until this one. They required a ton of documents from our parents and were not even friendly about it. They did not care at all and if we couldn‘t have gotten the documents they would probably have let us sleep on the streets…
I did not Enjoy my stay at all the room are dirty also the washroom are dirty and is was nasty to sleep at
I had a very unpleasant experience and felt scared and anxious at Generator Hostel Rome. A guest next to me was naked, which made me feel unsafe and in danger. I reported it to reception, but they only asked him to cover up. I asked to be moved to another room, but nothing was done. This happened on my birthday, and the situation made me feel very uncomfortable. I hope they consider a refund or some form of compensation.
Fue el primer hostel de mi vida, y sin duda, el peor. Llegue temprano (2 am)por lo que esperé en en la sala común hasta el check in. Me dormí en el sofá y el guardia de seguridad se acercó 2 veces a despertarme diciendo que daba mala imagen al hostel si me dormir (sentado) en el sofá? Estuve 10 horas obligándome a abrir los ojos hasta poder hacer el check in… En si la ubicación muy mala, te sientes desprotegido. El ambiente nulo y el desayuno tampoco me pareció bueno.
the first hostel of my life, and without a doubt, the worst. i arrived early (2am) so i waited in the common room until check in. i fell asleep on the sofa and the security guard came 2 times to wake me up saying that it gave a bad image to the hostel if i sleep (sitting) on the sofa? i spent 10 hours forcing myself to open my eyes until i could check in... if the location is really bad, you feel unprotected. the atmosphere was zero and the breakfast didn't look good either.
it would be nice if they had told us the €350 they take from your account is not actually your payment but just a security payment? upon arrival the guy at checkout gave us attitude when we were confused as to why we had been double charged. the shower was never hot in either of the ensuite bathrooms in our mixed 8 person room. no kitchen facilities provided- and your not allowed to bring in outside food👎 when paying over €100 per night at a HOSTEL you would expect a lot more (basic facil...

Badezimmer dringend rennovierungsbedürftig. Viele Lichtschalter an den Betten haben nicht funktioniert. Die Schließanlage an den Zimmertüren macht ein lautes Geräusch und das Licht geht automatisch an, sodass man geweckt wird, wenn nachts jemand ins Zimmer kommt. Die Betten waren aber sauber, Personal sehr freundlich, Lage top.
Bathroom urgently in need of renovation. Many Light switches and the beds have not worked. The lock on the bedroom doors makes a loud noise and the light turns on automatically, so you are woken up when someone comes into the room at night. The beds were clean, but the staff very friendly, Located top.

Los hostales Generator tienen la característica y fama de ser muy buenos, y el de Roma no fue la excepción, todo muy bien la verdad, lo único que diría es que no tenía cortinas ni cuarto y por ello tuve que improvisar unas.
Generator hostels have the characteristic and reputation of being very good, and the one in Rome was no exception, all very well indeed, all I would say is that it had no curtains or room and so I had to improvise some.
IMPECCABILE SERVIZIO DA PERTE DELLO STAFF…ma non posso/possiamo dire la stessa cosa per le persone (una) in camera…una sveglia che continua interrottamente per 15 min non è giustificabile…
Impeccable service from loss of staff...but I can't/we can't say the same thing for the person (s) in the camera...an alarm clock that continues uninterruptedly for 15 minutes is not justifiable...
Very comfy beds! Good storage spaces for backpacks. Sort of a sketchy area but super close to the train station. Helpful staff and quite clean.
It's good for a cheap place to stay. Wouldn't stay again however. The bathrooms were out of service and gross. Otherwise it's a okay place, kind workers.
Staff were fantastic, room was good for the price. However, every time someone entered the room, all the lights would automatically flip on, and a loud buzzer went off. If you are a light sleeper, this place is not for you. Barely slept at all because it was jarring enough that even with noise canceling earbuds, every time someone came in, it woke me up.

staff were amazing and I felt super safe. Beds were very comfortable and the cleanliness of the place was great. Highly recommend

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, gemütliche Betten, gut für einen entspannten Aufenthalt in Rom und Personal hat gute Tipps für Feiern gegeben. Leider gab es keine Küche.

The location unfurtunately Is a known and proved to be dangerous area of Rome, the common area in the hostel are clean and nice, workers are kind and friendly. The terrace/rooftop is unfurtunately closed during the winter times. Price quality ratio is ok, room are clean

Good hostel - good location and nice bar
Si es la primera vez que se quedan en hostal, no se queden cerca de Termini; en relación al hostal nunca tomen la de 6 camas, era un desastre y olía asqueroso. Afortunadamente el recepcionista pudo cambiarme (pagando) a un cuarto de 4 personas y fue menos el olor. Hay un olor en el baño muy extraño, quizá el caño. En relación a la ubicación, si necesitas tomar el tren o el bus al aeropuerto pues queda bastante cerca.
If it is your first time staying in a hostel, don't stay near Termini; in relation to the hostel never take the 6-bed one, it was a disaster and smelled disgusting. luckily the receptionist was able to change me (paying) to a room for 4 people and it was less smelly. there is a very strange smell in the bathroom, maybe the pipe. in relation to the location, if you need to take the train or bus to the airport then it is quite close.
The staff were pretty nice but everything else wasn't great. the communal spaces were quite dirty and the facilities were terrible. The fridges were both warm and filled with old rotting food, they do have a working kettle but that's literally it. no cutlery or cups or anything. i asked for a fork and was asked to pay 20c for a plastic spoon. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice.. There was little atmosphere but I stayed in january, might be. different in summer.
