I stayed at Chill Surfer Hostel from 21–28 January 2026. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. After bad weather caused some planned activities to be postponed, we explored alternative indoor options. The owner reacted in a hostile and confrontational way, accusing us of being disrespectful simply for considering other activities. I regret. The hostel is impossible to find and the door bell not working, I was tired and lost for 2 hours. When the owner Jawad opened he was blaming which is really really frustrating as a welcoming gesture. He seems so racist towards men and flirting with every girl. I totally regret staying at this hostel. Avoid this hostel at all costs.

Overall fun experience but could have ended on a better note. The hostel offered trips to the Secret Valley, which we had considered going for but ultimately chose to just drive there on our own. Next morning, had our usual breakfast except the owner cleared the tables without a second look. Even tried what seemed like an attempt to intimidate me, saying “why are you looking at me?” We all then got booted from the hostel apparently due to “construction works” — but with new arriva...

Lovely clean relaxing hostel. Beautifil terrace to watch sunset and the best thing is the food, dinner and breakfast are the best I've had from a hostel in Morocco. Only issue I had was I was not being made aware when extending my stay that the nightly rate went up in price on weekends, despite the hostel being nearly empty.

At first I loved my stay at this hostel, but after I chose to do some of the activities and tours the hostel offers by myself instead of paying them to take me, the whole atmosphere changed. The owner was acting cold and I did not feel welcome at all. I find the tours and activities quite expensive at the hostel compared to if you just go there yourself or with other guest. Although I won’t go back to this hostel, I will say that the breakfast was great and most of the staff are nice.

Cheerful hosts will support you in organising extra activities with golden advices.

Bathrooms could be cleaner, and kept well stocked with hand wash. For most of my stay, there was no hand wash, or it had been filled with water to last longer. The hostel itself is so so lovely and the food is amazing!

It’s a really good vibe there. The breakfast is delicious and the people who work there super nice! Would recommend it! :)

My stay at Chill Surfer Hostel was amazing. The accommodation is clean, cozy, and offers the best breakfast I had during my stay in Morocco. On the paid surf lessons and excursions Jawad showed us incredible places and made sure we had a great time. Thanks to Jawad and his team for making this place so special.

i had a really great time at chill surfer hostel, wish i could’ve stayed longer!! the hostel itself is beautiful, with very nice rooms, bathrooms, and two rooftops. the breakfast every morning is delicious, as well as the family dinners!! the people working at the hostel do their absolute best to make the experience as memorable, comfortable, and nice as possible and create such a comfortable and homely atmosphere that it feels sad to leave. will definitely be coming back :)

me & my partner had an absolute blast at this hostel! the breakfast was a whole family style spread of egg tagines, omelettes, breads, dips, yoghurt, fruit everything you could ask for! amazing value considering its free. jawad, the jack of all trades, is a chef and his moroccan food was some of the best we had our whole trip! he also took us surfing most days, taking us to hidden spots, out on the waves for 2-3 hours, lunch included! will definitely be back

The place really felt like home. Very social guests and staff. They also offer some great activites and trips. Would definitely recommend :)

Incredible place, the breakfast is insanely good I miss it :’( super laid back atmosphere and very well managed/organised hostel, sofas on the terraces are very cosy for downtime, dorms are quality, great view from the rooftop also & walkable location very knowledgeable staff, going surfing with the hostel was super cool and the whole trip made me feel very much like a chill surfer which was exactly what I wanted. plan to return!

Amazing hostel with such a chilled, homey vibe. Jawad and the whole team were super welcoming and made the stay really special. The surf lessons were so fun, and it also had the cutest hostel dog! Highly recommend!

Amazing food, friendly people and fun surfing

Amazing hostel with such a warm and friendly vibe! The food was absolutely delicious and something I looked forward to every day. It was so easy to meet great people, both staff and travelers. I had a great experience with surfing and also a wonderful day trip to Imsouane. I would have loved to stay longer and will definitely come back soon!

Chill surfer hostel is the best place to stay in Tamraght!! We loved it so so much all the staff are so lovely and attentive, and everyone staying was amazing !! Made such lovely friends and could not recommend more ! :)

I absolutely loveeee it here (I’ve extended my booking so still here lol) All the staff are absolutely amazing. Seriously the sweetest. The rooftop is such a vibe. So cozy and strong community feel. The breakfasts in the morning are delicious and everyone eats together, so cute. It’s nice to wake up to a bunch of smiling faces. Great time!! Thanks Jawad for an awesome experience. From surfing, chill nights, and party nights. Sizeable rooms. Tasty breakfasts (not just basic bread and butter). Rooftop around the fire. Surf lessons. 10min walk to the beach. Would have love to stay longer. Cant wait to come back 🙏🏻

Chill Surfer hostel really made our trip. I can’t possibly recommend it more. The dorm is super spacious the breakfast that is included and the family style dinners were amazing. The people and the animals at the hostel really made us stay. We better than I could’ve imagined.

Je recommande fortement ! J’ai réservé dans le dortoir only femme ; je me suis toujours sentie en sécurité. Les gens de l’hostel sont bienveillants et chaleureux. L’ambiance est très reposante. Les gens de l’hostel sont toujours à l’écoute et proposent des activités, top au niveau du rapport qualité-prix. Les cours de surf sont pour tous les niveaux. J’ai adoré ! I stayed at Chillsurfer hostel for a week as a solo traveller and had the best time - would highly recommend! It is really clean and comfortable has a social rooftop area, amazing breakfast included and also offers really delicious dinners too. Jawad and the whole team make you feel at home and it’s a great place to meet new people and have a fun and relaxed time. Would definitely come back!!

Amazing hostel with a real family atmosphere and good fun all round. Surf trips were great, accommodating all skill levels. The breakfast each morning would be a great feed and if you wanted to opt in for dinner in the evenings it was even better. 10/10
