This place is in the dodgey area of Slovenia. Avoid at night. No social element here too. Id go elsewhere

Security & location of the hostel - pretty good Atmosphere and events - virtually non-existent, only a board game night sometimes, zero atmosphere Facilities - tiny tiny kitchen and only two toilets and showers for each gender for at least 20 rooms (presumably housing more than one person). Cleanliness - room was a bit dirty on arrival, toilets overall kept clean. Breakfast - good variety but poor quality even for a hostel Shocked at the reviews - not awful by any means but v disappointed

Beim Buchen bekommt man kein Bild vom Zimmer. Für den Preis mehr erwartet. Spartanisch. Zimmer hatte Hochbetten. Das raufklettern ohne Licht war nicht ohne, denn der Lichtschalter befindet sich unten an der Tür. Richtig ätzend. Kein Spiegel, keine Kleiderhaken. Ein kleines Waschbecken wäre nice.

I got tge 12 people dorm, and I almost didn’t sleep at all the whole night. The AC is extremely loud, and there was a party happening nearby, from which I could hear every single beat of the music, all night long. To avoid, at least that bedroom. The common areas are nice and comfy tho, so is the breakfast.

Hostel Celica the good thing is definitely the building and furnishings. However, I was really disappointed from the reliability of the reception and the services they offer. I had ordered a breakfast and a airport shuttle in advance. Nothing worked. The breakfast was not ready and the airport shuttle did not arrive. I had to go to the train station and had to take a super expensive private transfer. Sorry hostel Celica I will never come again.

I might have just been really unlucky here. When I got in after 11 pm my room was ice cold since the window had probably been open since the morning. Turned out the heating was broke as well. So I could barely sleep because the room just didn't warm up at all. It also smelled quite moldy which I first thought was due to the cold but discovered plenty of black mold around the window. My clothes all smelled like it after two nights in there. But breakfast was great and the location nice

I stayed in a 2 bed room. It had a weird layout and it was a unique concept. But for how much the rooms cost, I wish it had a functioning ac. I stayed in August and it was really hot with no ac. Also, opening the window doesn’t help because of the location. It gets loud! Otherwise the place is pretty clean and the breakfast is great to have.

The kitchen is a joke. It is in the corner and unbelievably small for so many people. The lockers in rooms are one of the most inconvenient I've ever seen. The room temperature is too hot, and because it's central AC, they don't want to put it down even a bit. Also there were all the hostel cleaning stuff washed in the same laundry machine as guests washed their laundry. All the floor & toilet scrubbing equipment amongst others. Did not have a pleasant stay unfortunately and would not recommend

Great location, breakfast included, but I'd say overhyped. I was told the place was famous for unique design inside an old jailhouse, but I guess now that only applies to the private rooms. The dorms are pretty much just a dozen mattresses on the floor - you can get much more comfort and privacy at a better or same price elsewhere. Also, the common area has this weird, sterile, uninviting vibe.

I really enjoyed my night here and wish I could’ve stayed longer. Convenient location not too far of a walk from old town and a grocery store nearby. Staff were accommodating and quick to respond via email.

Dieses Hostel ist echt cool und hat eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Betten sind bequem. Allerdings finde ich zwei Duschen und zwei Toiletten für eine Etage etwas wenig, da hat es sich morgens dann gestaut.

Celica is a great place to stay. Staff are outstanding. The all-you-can-eat breakfast is very nutritious.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in!Really liked the 4 person room as it was bright and cosy. The included breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

only stayed one night but it felt like more of a hotel than a hostel. not much of a vibe. there were some families with kids running around. with that said, it’s a cool concept and the hostel is super clean and secure. some of the beds are quite close together due to the lack of space so it almost felt like staying in a double bed. cool hostel but i didn’t get what the hype was

We had a fantastic stay at the hostel! The vibes were fantastic and the included breakfast was a great treat. Beds were very comfortable & the space for the shared dorms was clean and spacious.

Hostel is in a unique location outside of the city center, but it’s incredibly clean and charming. The chill areas are especially nice, and the included breakfast was awesome. My bed was only like 1 foot away from another ground-level bed, which was a bit close for my liking, but this hostel was still the best place I stayed in Ljubljana.

This hostel was perfect for socialising, clean and a good location. Washing was €9 which was expensive, but the staff were welcoming and helpful.

good hostel, good location - a quiet area but still close enough to anything you want to do in ljubljana. the room (3 person) had a surprising amount of storage which was great. the shared kitchen is tiiiiny but breakfast is included, which is pretty basic but all you need. I think the bathrooms could have benefited from an extra clean but they weren't horribly dirty or anything. staff was super helpful and friendly!

Very good hostel facility wise. Free breakfast, free towel and good rooms. Only thing is that the location is not that good. I got offered coke and weed when walking to my hostel. Saw some guys fighting aswell. Nothing will probably happen but its not a great feeling to arrive to your hostel.

Very nice hosel, not the most social. Has very new facilities and feels very safe.

Es muy bonito, las habitaciones también son muy bonitas, los baños son amplios y muy grandes, las zonas comunes son muy bonitas, hay mucha gente joven y todas las personas del equipo son muy amables y el desayuno muy bueno.

Muy bien ubicado. El desayuno incluído era super abundante y variado. En la habitación hacía un poco de calor y estabamos un poco apretadas entre valijas y demás pero no fue un problema tampoco. Lo recomiendo

Clean and nice hostel in a convenient location. Not a lot of privacy in the rooms and only one place for communal bathroom/shower. Otherwise a good stay.

pretty perfect hostel, slightly hindrance with cleaners taking some clothes from my bed a day before my leaving date (reception staff did fix the issue asap though) really nice breakfast, with really clean & safe facilities :)

I had a great stay!! This is a very lively yet still quiet and comfortable hostel. I got a private room and the bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. The staff was also very friendly and offered me extra blankets when I saw I had a little cold. It is also near the main train and bus station which makes it well situated to do day trips, which I suggest you do. Only thing is the kitchen is kinda small, but serviceable. Therefore, I recommend this hostel without reservation!!

Highly recommend this hostel if staying in Ljubljana! The free breakfast was great. Pretty cool setup in the dorm rooms as well. I liked that your room key opened up your specific locker as well.
