St Christopher's Inn Amsterdam - The Winston

Worst hostel experience of my life. At 2 a.m., water started cascading from the ceiling. They didn't seem very surprised, and I didn't feel I had adequate support to deal with the situation. I also haven't heard back from the manager. It was a level of disregard I've never seen before. I've stayed in about 30 hostels and never experienced such negligence as in this one. Unfortunately, I can't say I'll be back. To date, I have not yet been reimbursed.

Very dirty, always loud noises

Terrible business I stayed at st Christopher inn in Barcelona and liked it and was gonna stay at this one but sadly I was robbed in Barcelona of everything and had pre booked my trip to this hostel and they refused to give me my money back which is crazy given the circumstances I will never stay at another one of these as they don’t have the human decency to understand a unique circumstance and keep more of my money even when I was just robbed.

Ce n’est pas du tout un Hostel sociable, l’équipe est désagréable et ne s’occupe pas du tout de vous vous récupérez juste une chambre en plus de ça des frais sont ajoutés et ça s’arrête là. Vous avez juste une chambre de quoi dormir et de vous doucher, c’est tout.

Honnêtement, cet établissement ne mérite pas l'appellation d'auberge de jeunesse. En dehors des chambres, aucun espace commun n'est prévu pour favoriser les échanges et la convivialité entre les clients. De plus, le personnel s'est montré peu accueillant et peu serviable. Je ne peux donc pas recommander cet établissement ; le seul point positif que je retiens concerne son emplacement. Enfin, l'impression générale est que tout y est pensé avant tout pour inciter les clients à dépens...

Yeah look just wouldn’t stay here if you can! Can’t actually say anything good about the place. Totally unsafe area (even according to locals), freezing shower, got food poisoning from the food in gare du nord 🙂 0.5/10❤️

No water filling station. The taps inside the dorm is useless when it comes to filling water bottles because of the small sink. One of the staff was a bit impatient with me during the check in which made the experience bad.

Just okay, good location and security. My only issue is with St. Christopher’s hostels in general, their “hostel bar” is a public bar and is extremely hard to meet other travelers outside your hostel room. Their “hostel event” just a normal bar vibe not very solo travel friendly vibe. Drink prices aren’t cheap, food there was just okay. It’s a comfortable place to just spend the night, they clean the rooms everyday, bar can get loud late, and oh god the stairs to get to my room.

This is probably one of the worst places I have stayed at. The room was next to a busy road and the windows were not properly sealed so I could hear street noise all night long. The bathroom was not clean and the heater is full of dust. The location and staff are nice but you could find better values somewhere else nearby.

Just dog shit, dont book here , you will fond the creepy groups of people . Disgusting rooms and beds . Avoid at every cost 😂.

Very good hostel, clean and friendly

For the area and price it was a great place to stay. Mattresses were a little too firm for my liking but room was comfortable. Shower had lots of hot water and water pressure was amazing. Could use more lighting in the bathroom. Hallway floor could use a refresh. But overall we were happy with our stay. Staff at check in were wonderful. Did not use the bar or the restaurant

Le personnel est incroyable que ce soit à l’entrée au niveau de la sécurité, ce soit au niveau du bar ou que ce soit à l’arrêt réception de l’hôtel tout le monde fait du bon boulot les chambres sont très propre bravo

This facility needs to be updated. Carpet needs cleaning and or removed. The breakfast was advertised to last until 10:30. They removed the food at 10am. It seemed like the customers were bothering the staff. Otherwise the staff was great.

Nice place, loved the balcony on the room! Staff was so friendly when we checked in and gave us some recs. Room got a bit stuffy without a lot of air flow but overall a good experience!

It was really nice hostel but the cleaning products were very stinky. Like u cant breathe in the room after it was cleaned. I have migraine, so i cant stand strong smells.

you must additionally pay for bag storage before and after stay… annoying considering it’s already expensive

The hostel is located close to the red light district, which made me feel unsafe as a woman, especially walking alone in that area. Plus, they dont have age limit in the hostel so I (24yo) was sharing room with old weird men that looked high all the time. One night my roomates were having a party inside our room with loud music and people outside the hostel! When I asked to change rooms, the staff were very kind and helpful, so i'm greateful for that!!!

Everything was great! They did an early pre check so I can shower and store my bags. The holding lockers are really good. The actual room was in the second part of the building so the stair a bit narrow and spiral. Other wise was great! Would recommend this spot 100%.

Clean, well maintained, great location and very tidy. The bar downstairs is awesome. I would 100% come back here. Defo recommend this place.

Dorm was clean, with individual power outlets, curtains and lockers. Very easy to get to from the train station; however, it was very loud, as my dorm was right against a busy street in the red light district, so bring earphones or plugs

I absolutely loved the location and the layout of my room. Was expecting a more social crowd within the room—but that doesn’t always happen. Bar and restaurant attached are very nice and social!

5th time staying at this Hostel. The location is amazing and the staff and service are always top-notch. I always stay here when I'm in Amsterdam and it never disappoints. The free breakfast is always a bonus and the food at Belushi's restaurant is always great. Rooms are alwats clean and the addition of a power bar and privacy curtain are very welcome upgrades. St. Christophers Inn - The Winston will always be my first choice when visiting Amsterdam.

Auberge top , chambres bien équipée avec balcon au calme. Un peu déçu par les parties communes qui sont top mais pas vraiment dédiées à l’auberge (bar + restaurant classique) donc si comme moi vous êtes plutôt introverti c’est plus compliqué pour faire des rencontres et trouver d’autres voyageurs de l’auberge. Lockers payants après check-out également.

De los mejores hostel que he estado. Tome una habitación para 4, era espacioso, limpio y bien equipado. Buena oferta para el desayuno. Punto estratégico de la ciudad, cerca de la estación de trenes, bares, restaurantes, etc. Volveria a elegirlo, lo recomiendo 100%

Mirror is girls dorm toilet would be nice for the mornings! Otherwise great location for exploring the red light district!
