Global Village

First thing, we booked a 4-bedroom and got a 6-bedroom. Second the beds weren’t ready, there were still used bedsheets on. We got new ones and they looked used and covered with some hairs. But the staff was very friendly and helpfully.

The facilities were horrible. My mattress was stained & disgusting. The "breakfast" was dry cereal. It was loud at all times & impossible to sleep.

Needed urgent help for my safety in the middle of the night and couldn’t get anyone who works there to answer any type of communication for 3 hours till they opened for the day.

No hot water at all so couldn’t shower and they didn’t seem to care. Rooms were freezing, bed rock hard. Wifi is terrible especially in the bed spaces.

No heating or hot water during our stay therefore we couldn’t have a shower or wash unless we wanted freezing cold water. Asked for a discount or alternative and were told we either pay in full or find somewhere else ourselves.

The rooms were way too small with no washroom facilities on the same floor. Definitely not value for money. Breakfast was also needed to be done by ourselves.

Honestly one of the worst places I’ve stayed.

Volunteer worker's that are there for a free ride. They don't care about you. A lot of drinking and partying. No toilet paper in any of the bathrooms in the morning.

Really friendly staff and good hostel vibes I am talking well stocked communal kitchen with free grains provided by management, plenty of shower/toilets never felt like it was crowded, I felt a bit out of place as a man it was like 80% young women staying there at the time, not too far of a walk from the central station and downtown, close to the university, the only thing I would say watch your back in that neighborhood, there was a bit of a sketchy vibe at times, but hostel itself feels safe.

Everything you need for a hostel. Staff a great, good common area and pool table.

Appreciated the discount due to construction. The linens didn't feel clean; one pillow case had a gob of hair on it. Breakfast was limited to instant coffee and dry cereal. OK for a one night stay.

Staff are AMAZING! Currently has some construction going on - we received a discount even though it didn’t bother us at all. Older building so some areas may look dirty but it’s quite clean. Would maybe bring own pillowcase as linens looking a little worn. Towels for hire. Located in a university housing area so lots of good coffee shops and pubs nearby - easy to get to city centre by walking, uber or bus.

Really enjoyed my stay! Great hostel, clean rooms and spacious shared areas. Played a bit of pool and met some new friends in the evenings. Would love to come back sometime!

A nice welcoming to the Global village and Belfast ! The place was nice but not clean enough and some broken door handles, as an example. The kitchen was nice, with many equipments and well decorated ! 😉 The staff was very kindly ! Thank you ! See you maybe an other time !

I totally understand that the hostel was under reconstruction at the time, but there was a strange odor in the room. But the staff is great and very pleasant to be with.

Gutes Hostel

This place was a pretty good deal. The staff were friendly and travellers there were also friendly. The location isn't necessaripy the best depending on plans, but it was definitely affordable and clean.

Beautiful super homey space. Kitchen and common spaces have cute decor and it makes the space feel more comfortable.

I had a lovely time staying 2 nights at global Village. You get a key to the front door, the second front door, and to your room. Very secure. We stayed in a 8 bed dorm which was better than expected. There is a full, spacious kitchen, with a whole games room and patio! Plenty of bathrooms for the property. Would be nice if our group of 4 was provided more than 1 set of keys. This place is impossible to contact unless you can call them (can’t with an e-sim!) Beds could’ve been comfier.

Honestly such a great hostel. I felt very safe, had lots of space and it was a great vibe. I wish every hostel was like this one. Very homely.

A great Hostel in a beautiful part of the city, the staff were extremley helpful.

Such an amazing hostel :) It truly feels like an old-school hostel that was designed for backpackers. Hostel is in an old house and it’s super cozy - it has a large shared kitchen, which includes a light free breakfast, as well as living room area with couches and books and tv. The location was great, as you are steps away from train station, cafes, restaurants, movie theatre, park, and museum. Staff were also very chill (shout out to Tasha!). I would stay again for sure

The hostel was easy enough to find and is in a vibrant area of Belfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was fine, with plugs, a light and small shelf at the head of each bunk. The pillow I had, had a stain on it, but was changed quickly. Toilets were small but adequate and the showers were fine.

Fijn hostel, vriendelijken behulpzaam personeel, ruime slaapzaal waar ik sliep, helaas geen gordijntjes of iets bij de bedden. douche en toileten was een klein beetje afhankelijk van je keuze, de gezamelijke was iets minder dan de prive. locatie is niet in het centrum maar wel ik een gezellige buurt met voldoende horeca.

Dortoirs très moyens, pas vraiment d’équipements. Point positif pour le petit déjeuner gratuit

Very friendly staff; they even offered to give me a little tour of the place after my late check-in. I found this hostel to be a bit quiet for a "social hostel", maybe because I did check in late, but nonetheless, this is definitely worth the £26 per night stay.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, creating such a nice atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The vibes were great and everyone was genuinely kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and enjoyable experience. I’ll happily come back again!
