I really don’t get the good reviews? The hostel was definitely not as clean, there were ants all over the bathroom. The cushion was so bad and thin. My towel definitely didn’t smell freshly washed. And I don’t get way you would put a camera in the shower area, That has nothing to do with „safety“ in my opinion.

De eigenaar was heel onaardig. Ik had aangegeven dat ik waarschijnlijk te veel had betaald en hij werd toen boos op mij en beschuldigde mij dat ik had gelopen en liep toen gewoon weg zonder het op te lossen. Ook zat er een kakkerlak in mn kamer.

Cats everywhere, doors don’t lock and they get into the rooms. Not good for my friend with allergies. Make sure to agree with everything the manager says or you’ll get an attitude. Shower pressure is almost non-existent and water barely warm. Other staff are great and beers are cheap. Beds comfy but rooms very small. Mine didn’t have a place to store my bag

Unfortunately, we had a quite negative experience at this hostel. The hostel is overrun with cats, which made our room smell like cat and activated my allergies. We also had issues with both the sink and toilet in our room clogging and the room being quite hot and stuffy. The man who worked at the front desk was quite rude and played video games on his phone while in conversation with us and we were repeatedly reprimanded quite rudely for wearing shoes in the hostel. Overall, cannot recommend.

Overall good cute little hostel. Staff are helpful and friendly, patio is beautiful. I didn’t see the value in paying the premium for the superior dorm. Curtain didnt cover the window, bathroom wasn’t cleaned and AC wasn’t automatically turned on at 5 so was quite hot coming back from tours each day.HW shows drink/snack on arrival but this wasn’t offered (price for noodles was double what’s advertised). Cuidado si contratas servicios tipo lavandería, me cobraron una cantidad desorbitada, estuve en el hostel 10 horas y pedí ducharme después del checkout y también me quisieron cobrar, no me gustó cierto trato y que quisieran cobrar por todo. Creo que no estamos en hoteles para hacer upgrade por todo. Tengo otro concepto de hostel en mi mente.

Very nice dorms and beds, clean, bright and spacious. Bathrooms were clean too. Location is in a quieter street about a 5-10min walk from the main area. Only 'negative' thing to mention is that it's not very social, it's more a hostel for relaxing and chilling.

Unfortunately my stay was ruined by a very intense interaction with what I perceived to be a fairly aggressive and short tempered owner who lacked basic empathy and raised his voice at me. I shared a video of the interaction on a review on Google Maps. I am yet to receive an apology from the owner for his rudeness and have instead just received threats of police/immigration action for filming the video - which I have confirmed was fully legal as it was not a private conversation.

Really nice and quiet hostel. The owner is really nice and you can tell he has a passion for the place. He can be quite strict, but that makes for a really clean and organized place. The cats are so cute too. The only complaint is that they turn the AC on at 5 pm. I know it’s quite common but still it would make the place almost a 10/10!

Without any doubt the best hostel i booked in the Philippines Showers and toilets are so clean, atmosphere is great The crew is really nice

Really loved staying here and the owner and other members of staff were so friendly and helpful for booking activities. The showers and toilets were clean and really liked how there was natural sunlight in them. The room was a really good size and clean and the bed was very comfy. The outdoor courtyard was a great place to chill with the kittens. Most importantly the atmosphere was great and I loved the personal and caring experience you get as a result of it being a small family run hostel

We had a lovely stay here. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. They helped us to book airport transfers very easily. And I also booked a boat trip through them which was all very stress free on my side! The beds were very comfy too and the rooms clean.

I stayed at a Casa Portuguesa for 4 nights and I only have positive things to say. The rooms were very new and clean. The same thing goes for the bathrooms. The owner Sonny and the staff were all super friendly and the hostel was also great to socialise as a solo traveler.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the beds were super comfy and the atmosphere of the hostel was so lovely. Bathrooms and bedrooms were always kept so clean and the cats were such an entertaining plus! Huge shoutout to Dan and Sonny for looking after us so well, made sure we were always organised with activities, transfers and overall such a lovely family to chat too! Thank you

I stayed at A Casa Portuguesa Hostel for 3 nights, and it was such a wonderful experience in Coron. The hostel is beautifully designed, clean, and made even more special by the adorable, friendly cats around. Amazing hostel with lovely staff. It is out of the noisy centre but close enough to the shops and restaurants. The staff wil help you with booking tours and anything else you need. They are also really fun to talk to. The garden is beautiful and they have some lovely cats that are chilling in the garden.

Fantastic stay, highly recommended! The owner is such a friendly and funny person. We chatted with him a lot and we'll miss him. He's simply wonderful! He has a beautiful hostel, super cozy, clean, and very inviting. The rooms are in excellent condition, you have curtains, a lamp, charging station and a towl at your bed. Shower and toilets are really nice and modern. There's a great outdoor area with a small café and the cake is homemade and highly recommended -delicious! 10/10 👌🏼

We had an amazing stay at this hostel in Coron! The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, always happy to chat. His new café serves delicious coffee and cake. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, with great air conditioning. The hostel is the perfect to relax, with a nice outdoor area. We loved the cute rescued kittens! The Staff was so friendly, and motorbike rental was easy. We felt super comfortable and wish we stayed longer. 1000% can reccomend!!

Loved my stay at this hostel. The en-suite room had plenty of storage with a comfortable bed and a spacious clean bathroom. The common area looks cute with adorably friendly cats and kitties hanging around. You can purchase drinks, snacks & breaky onsite, but it’s in the nice area with various cafes within a walking distance. This is a nice hostel to crash in after the El Nido-Coron expedition. Beds are comfy, towels are provided and showers are good. Only let down for me was lack of comfy seats in communal areas, and no fans to keep common spaces cool during the day.

Amazing hostel! Everything there is soo beautiful, very clean, the beds are super comfortable and the hostel is very social. There are also the cutest cats I've ever seen running around! In this hostel you'll feel right at home and a big part of that is because of the staff, because all of them are super friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Sonny! I've had the best conversations with him and he is such a funny guy, you can't help but instantly be in a good mood as soon as you see him!

Très bon hostel pour se reposer !Un peu loin du centre à pieds mais largement faisable ! Grandes chambres, casiers, rideaux, espace commun chill, et des petits chatons trop mignons !
