Medano Nest Hostel

Dopo poco tempo che mi sono sdraiato sul materasso mi è sopraggiunto prurito in tutte le parti del corpo a contatto con esso. Presumo un’infestazione di acari della polvere. Impossibile quindi dormire, la mattina dopo ero pieno di bolle e gonfiore. Le stanze sono degli spazi abbastanza stretti e senza finestre utilizzabili. I booked and paid for two nights at this hostel, but what happened on my second night was completely unacceptable. After a problem-free first night, I returned late on my second night, climbed into my assigned bed—only to find another guest already sleeping in it. Understandably confused, I woke him up, and he informed me that he had also been assigned the same bed. When I checked my locker, my lock and belongings were gone. Shaky triple bunkbeds in stinky rooms without windows. Same with bathrooms. Plus untrained bossy staff who speaks poor or no English at all. :-/

The location is good but the rooms are crowded. The six person form is actually a 9 person dorm and there is just a small window. During my stay there where a lot of older guests (mostly men) and I didn't feel very comfortable or safe. Was glad having booked the female dorm st least but wouldn't recommend it at all.

Bed bugs, no atmosphere and in general very dirty

Kamers zijn veelste warm, stinken niet genoeg ventilatie, stapelbedden van 3 hoog. Waren meerdere mensen in het hostel die dit als een probleem zagen.

I am unsure how this hostel is rated 9.3. The kitchen and bathroom felt clean and spacious, however our room was extremely cramped + hot + little ventilation. A small fan attempted to help airflow but myself and the other females in the dorm struggled to sleep with no window. Additionally it was a female only dorm but a male woke us up with his loud snoring having been incorrectly placed in there and it took a couple of attempts to get him removed. Friendly visitors, staff kept to themselves.

I didn't enjoy my stay in this hostel. The rooms have very bad air and ventilation so while sleeping it's always hot and hard to breath. The common area is also not cozy as in other hostels. Additionally there is no proper place to have meetings as a remote worker since the common area is usually quite loud.

The interior design is horror, and the lights are too cold (color temperature). it looks like a hospital or mental health institute from some movie :D Absolutely not comfortable... :( was happy to stay there only one night

The mattresses are so old that you sink in extremely badly, making it difficult to sleep. I even changed beds, but the problem persisted.

I really enjoyed my 3 night stay at the hostel. The staff were great , so friendly and helpful and they kept the place spotless but in a relaxing way. The hostel is very easy to live in with a big kitchen and communal area to eat and play in and enough showers and toilets for everyone . I particularly enjoyed the table tennis tournaments but the many free activities organized by the hostel are a great way to meet and connect with fellow guests . Improvements? The mattresses could be upgraded

Absolutely loved my time here. Such a good vibe and so social. The setup of the hostel is perfect and the kitchen is spacious and a big long table to all eat together. I did Claudio’s tour of tiede and it was so great. Definitely recommend. Max planned great social events. Overall just had a great time, would visit again. The only thing is the rooms are really small and triple bunk beds

Was das Hostel ausmacht sind die Volunteers und das Staff - sie geben dem Ort ihren Zauber. Die Räume sind eher hellhörig und man merkt in den Hochbetten sehr stark, wenn sich jemand bewegt. Da in den vergleichsweise kleinen Räumen, viele Betten stehen, kann es schon mal sehr stickig werden, aber mit Ventilatoren, kann man das gut aushalten. Es gibt sehr strenge Ruhezeiten, die manchmal nervig sein können, aber letztendlich einen guten Schlaf ermöglichen. Ich würde auf Jensen Fall wiederko...

Nice hostel, good location but the rooms were very stuffy and stunk a bit, but the people were nice and we had two really nice tours organized by the hostel in the area.

The property was good for a hostel. It’s not the nicest hostel you’ll ever stay in, but the staff are nice and helpful. The bathrooms were kept very very clean, which was very nice. Nest also offers a ton of excursions and activities from El Medano, which I highly recommend. I went on one to Anaga with Claudio and cannot recommend him enough. He drove us to Anaga, took us to get traditional Canarian coffee and a traditional meal on the ocean!

Ottima posizione. Fantastici i ragazzi che lo gestiscono. Pieno di iniziative. Spazi comuni molto grandi e bell'ambiente. L'unica cosa negativa è che mettono 15 letti in una stanza che non ha nemmeno delle grandi finestre.

Rooms are very packed and loud(er) at night. It was ok but I woudnt stay there longer. Medano has better places for a similar or cheaper price.

Room had a weird smell. And no female showers provided, only mixed.

Great location great people 🌞✨️ everything is in walking distance to the beach and cafes 💛🎶 sunrises from the playa is a beautiful blessing.

The hostel has a very good spot in El Medano, but what I did not like is that the privacy was zero given. Not even the doors of the rooms were closed and the beds are very loud. You can hear every little move. The staff was nice tho and if you travel alone, I can def recommend it.

Slightly overcrowded as there is only one communal area. No escape unless you go out. To many beds in one room, not easy to get in and out if you are in the middle of 3 beds. Great to meed people. Good programs, great staff. Clean. Super location

Clean, good location, and has kitchen for use and free water. Vibe is a bit odd and there’s too many volunteers. Overall not bad.

Very clean. Very friendly. Near to the beach. I didn't put 5 for security because lockers would be easy to break into and didn't put 5 for facilities because the place is very basic. It's not a bad thing, you go there for the beach and the beach is a 2 minute walk.
