Catba Backpackers Sea Vibe Pool Bar & Bungalow

Nogal ver van het centrum. Geen shuttle beschikbaar waardoor ik een 'opgesloten' gevoel kreeg. Eten middelmatig (zware roomsaus met brokken), niet goedkoop en weinig andere keuze in de buurt.Ook faciliteiten , zoals de was en de toerprijzen waren niet goedkoop. (hoorde lagere prijzen van anderen op mijn tours. Het uitzicht uit mijn kamer en de tuin waren heel mooi en het personeel was vriendelijk. De kamer was verouderd, miste verschillende stopcontacten en rook naar vocht. Op de retour.

only stayed one night but seemed really nice not very social but wasn't there for long beds were super comfy

Had a fantastic stay, great vibe and a peaceful setting around nature. Mr. Lee front desk was exceptionally helpful with tips and making arrangements. Definitely will return to this cat living place.

We had a lovely stay at the hostel in Cat Ba. Staff is very friendly and helpful, room has an amazing view. + very cute kittens there

Phenomenal hostel. Rooms, bathrooms and social area very clean. Staff are super helpful with everything from motorbike rental, tours as well as booking transport and accommodation for your next destination. The food is great and the social atmosphere very inviting. Would absolutely stay here again!

i think the rooms were clean and comfortable. it was awesome having a fan in the bunks. BUT there was a pretty big electrical fire in the room below us and there was no communication and we had no idea if it was safe to use the stairs because it was just black with smoke. the smoke alarms did not go off until the room was already filling with smoke. there was no discount, no “are you okay”, and no offer of water. i get safety standards are different but it was very scary.

Very clean, the breakfast was amazing! You get a free beer at 6:30-7:30. Beautiful garden area and spacious rooms. The staff were amazing, super chatter and overall lovely people. Would definitely recommend

Super nice Hostel with the most amazing Staff! Mr. Lee and his team really made sure we had the best possible stay on Cat Ba Island and provided us with everything and were very friendly and uncomplicated.

Loved my time in Cat Ba Backpackers. The beds in the dorms are comfortable, although they only come with a thin bedsheet. The showers are spacious and there is hot water. Breakfast was included and two chefs are there to take your egg and pancake order on the spot. Lots of room to sit people down. The garden/bungalow area is beautiful and a lot of cats come to play and sit with you which I loved. You can rent scooters for cheap and there is 1h a day where they serve free beer for happy hour.

Best hostel experience I had. Very affordable motorcycle rental. A very good breakfast, very comfortable mattresses. I met lots of people at their daily happy hour in a very laid back setting, courtesy of Ha who is very generous. The manager, Mr Lee’s courtesy and hospitality were second to none and I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay to a weary traveller. I was there for a week or so. Awesome place in a beautiful surrounding not far from the main town. Here you can encounter other travellers and spend an amazing time with CHEAP beer (almost free if not for free sometimes 😉) and good food on the menu. The staff is joyfull and always there to be at your service. They can arrange activities and bus connections for you all to make it as easy as possible for the traveller. The dorms where I stayed in are also very clean with comfortable beds and a well maintained bathroom.

Absolutely loved it. Lee helped me with absolutely everything and was incredibly flexible. Ended up spending 3x more days than I planned, like most. Vibes are really relax and social, with great staff. Stayed at the bungalow with was a wonderfull place to live for a 1,5 week ❤️

nice and helpful staff breakfast was good, make eggs fresh and to your liking bathroom was clean and ensuite (sadly some mold on walls but other than than clean) beds were super comfy and also clean

Goed hostel! Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk. De kamers waren schoon en bedden sliepen goed. Ook hadden ze rondom volledig gordijnen wat ook fijn was. Douche was ook top!

Very nice hostel. Incredibly friendly and helpful people. Delicious food and clean rooms with comfortable beds. A bit out of the center.

Süße Privatzimmer mit guten Frühstücksbuffet. Etwas außerhalb aber zu Fuß und mit dem Roller gut machbar :)

This has been the best place I have stayed in Vietnam so far. The staff were very friendly and helped us out so much. Big up Mr Lee! Definitely worth staying here and couldn't recommend enough

Mr Lee is the best Hostel owner that I ever met. He is so kind and caring. If you are not sure what to do in Cat Ba or how to do it, he will help with everything and beyond. He even organized the ha giang loop for us und transit. On top of that the hostel itself is also really nice and has good offerings. Eg free beer happy hour. We would go back every time.
