The staff were extremely rude, bathrooms were not clean and it felt unsafe and strange.
Half the kitchen burners didn't work. The whole place was full from one huge group of middle aged men. The road in front of the hostel is very busy and we could hear every car passing by. Bar downstairs probably woke all of us in the room at least three or four time past 11pm because it would randomly make the floor shake from the volume of the speakers. Probably top 3 worst nightssleep I've spent in my three months in New Zealand.
Terrible experience at this place, there's no number in the bed so any one can jump any where I got at the room with all bed mesi, looks like some one sleep in my bed sheets not been changed and there was no one working there to ask for a replacement, 2 showers for over 30 people
The worker working at check in was extremely unfriendly. The kitchen says that it closes for cleaning everyday we stayed there for three nights and the kitchen was not cleaned once. We were two 23 year old girls staying in an 8 bed mixed dorms (no female available) and we only stayed with guys that were at least 40 which was very uncomfortable. The beds are horrible as soon as someone turns everyone wakes up. The bathrooms don't have any hooks or area to lay down your stuff.
No me gusto nada te pegabas al suelo, los encargados super asperos no aportaban ninguna información, ni siquiera para el sitio de aparcamiento, se me olvidó la tarjeta en el cuarto y casi me pegan, no volvería por nada a este sitio.
I don't like anything you stick to the floor, the super asperos in charge didn't provide any information, not even for the parking space, if I forgot my card in the room and almost got stuck, I would never come back to this place.
Scheinbar das einzige Hostel in der Stadt, sehr unpersönlich, richtig unangenehm schon fast, Küche war OK, Duschen eher weniger. Für eine Nacht zu dem Preis ok, aber wenn ihr nicht müsst, dann bleibt hier nicht
Seemingly the only hostel in town, very impersonal, really unpleasantly fast, kitchen was OK, showering was less. for one night at that price ok, but if you don't have to, don't stay here
It works, the facilities are simply not there, I missed more approach from the stuff, to take your keys you have to go to the bar besides in, nobody was working at 5, no one was at the hostel and the atmosphere was death.
A frankly creepy level of surveillance. Absent and unhelpful staff. Key system was unreliable at best.
Due bagni per un piano mi sono sembrati pochi. Pulito e confortevole, in zona perfetta (arrivo e partenze bus) con più locali per mangiare o bere nelle immediate vicinanze. È sembrato un estratto di Liguria dove anche la Locke room deve essere pagata..
Two bathrooms for a piano seemed to me to be few. clean and comfortable, in the perfect area (arrival and departure bus) with several places to eat or drink in the immediate vicinity. it seemed a stratum of Liguria where even the Locke room must be paid.
Het was erg gehorig en veel lawaai. Personeel beperkt aanwezig. Douche was niet echt schoon en uitglij gevaarlijk! Keuken was oké.en Invercargill was saai.
It was very noisy and very noisy. limited staff present. shower was not really clean and outlooked dangerous! kitchen was okay. and invercargill was boring.

Tout ce qu'on attend d'un backpacker. Bien placé. Bon rapport qualité prix, immeuble très agréable et chambre très bien.
Everything you would expect from a backpacker, good location, good value for money, very nice building and very nice room.
Very basic hostel, check yourself in, kitchen was manageable, kind of a more quiet hostel. Movie room was joined to kitchen so people sometimes played their movie really loud for all to hear. Awesome location being right at the bus stop and close to food, grocery stores, and shops.
Great service
Inner city backpackers - so expect some street noise (crossing beeps all night). Set over multiple floors but there is a lift. The security is good. Reception isn't there a lot of the time, but the bar/brewery/cafe covers. Staff were great. The cafe/bar has ~28 beers on tap, about 14 of their own brews. Brewery is at the back The bunks in the shared dorm aren't solid, so when someone rolls over you move - doesn't matter if you are on top or bottom. Intercity stop right outside!
Clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Great kitchen and hang out zones. Their cafe is the best in town, in food and ambience.

While the value was great (can’t beat a single room for $51), the property in general gave off very unsettling vibes. The layout is really bizarre and there’s really no sound insulation at all. It doesn’t offer much as far as gathering and socialization. The staff were nice enough, but didn’t know much about the street parking after hours which was frustrating as I was only staying one night and didn’t need to pay for the garage.
Nice hostel. Quite loud at night if your room is on the main street. Bathrooms were ok. Room was clean

Very spacious and clean hostel. Uncomplicated check In. Very bright and big kitchen. Only thing which could be better are the bunkbeds. Not very stable and you could feel the wires through the mattress

Nice place, well maintained, private room clean, comfortable. Laundry room good. The adjoining restaurant/bar is very good, a real asset. Victoria Park nearby is worth visiting - check it out the tuatara island near the park cafe.

The kitchen needs a refresher! No hook in the shower… where to put my stuff when everything is wet?
Prima locatie. Ik moest inchecken bij de bar ernaast. Geen receptionist gesproken. Voelde niet heel persoonlijk. Goed voor 1 nacht.

I enjoyed staying at this property! There wasn’t much of an atmosphere or staff presence, but maybe that is due to it being the off season. I felt safe as a solo female and the showers were super hot and clean. There was a big stain on the wall in the room that wasn’t wiped down, but besides that the room was clean and the bed was comfy! I would stay again!

Convenient to central Invercargill. Restaurants nearby, Parking is a problem from 8.00am to 5.00pm on weekdays. We had a bit of a problem checking in on a Sunday, keys were at the restaurant next door. We were given keycards to an 8 bed dorm. When I checked my paperwork we were supposed to have a double with ensuite plus 3 beds in a dorm. Went back to the restaurant and eventually got the keys to our private room, It was excellent but the boys said the beds in the dorm were very squeaky.
The staff behind the reception (which was never actually open) were not helpful at all when we asked for help regarding a trip to Bluff and refused to help because he was too busy and his phone was behind the bar next door
