- Dreckig , Personal spricht kein Deutsch, es fehlte Bettwäsche, Bettdecke war massiv verschmutzt, Feueralarm mit wirklichem Feuer in der Küche war in Etage 4 nicht zu hören , es interessierte niemanden , wäre ein größeres Feuer gewesen keine Ahnung was dann passiert wäre, einfach alles nur SCHLECHT
- The soundproofing is very poor and the outside noise is too loud. Also, the curtain was way too small for the window, letting in too much light and offering no privac

- Wir waren eine Nacht im a&o Hostel Hamburg City und ich kann jedem nur raten eine andere Unterkunft zu wählen und lieber mehr Geld auszugeben. Abgesehen davon, dass wir kaum schlafen konnten, weil die Zimmer absolut nicht gedämmt sind und der Straßenlärm trotz GESCHLOSSENEM Fenster so laut ist, dass man sich fühlt, als würde man auf offener Straße liegen hatten wir KEIN WARMWASSER! Das Wasser war eiskalt. Wir mussten auf die Dusche verzichten. Uns wurde im Hostel gesagt wir müssten das mit booking.com klären, dort wurde dann mit a&o Kontakt aufgenommen und es kam zu keiner Einigung. Kein Warmwasser stellt einen erheblichen Reisemangel dar. Ich bin froh, dass wir nur eine Nacht dort ausharren mussten.

I could not run away fast enough from this place, the room was pretty clean but the smell was unbearable. The beds are not prepared so people arriving in the middle of the night either sleep right on the mattress/uncovered blanket or make hell of a noise trying to make their bed. This gigantic 8 floors « hostel » has been designed to make the most money out of every possible detail. Broken lights and plugs are not replaced. AND the prices are crazy !
Hiçbir şey istediğimiz gibi olmadı çok kötü bir hostel asla önermiyorum korkunç. Öncelikle öğlen ikide gitmemize rağmen bizi odamıza almadılar (boş oda olduğuna emindim) temizlik olduğunu söylediler ama bir sonraki gün sabah saat 11 bile olmadan bir adam kapıyı çaldığı gibi içeriye girmeye çalıştı. temizlik olduğunu söyledi İngilizcesi yeterli değildi ona şu anda müsait olmadığımızı çıkması gerektiğini söyledik bağırıp çağırdı en sonunda çı...
Nothing went as we wanted a very bad hostel I never recommend terrible. first even though we went together at noon they didn't take us to our room (I was sure it was an empty room) they said there was cleaning but the next morning before 11am a man tried to come in like he knocked on the door. he said there was cleaning his english wasn't good enough we told her we weren't available right now she had to leave we yelled and called and finally she came out we didn't feel safe at all. besides that ...
The best hostel I have been. No complaints at all.
Generally did not feel welcome or safe in the hostel. It was not any good common fascilities to stay in other than your room so we were always out of the hostel. Do not recommend if you are looking for that social hostel feeling.
The rooms were very clean and neat
It has been a great time at the hostel. It is really big and therefore holds a lot of guests. During the day or night it doesn't bother because the walls are thick enough to isolate noises. Only for breakfast it was really crowded and we had to wait to find a spot to eat. Beside of that, the hostel is really well connected. The rooms are used but clean and the stuff is friendly.
There was no safety lockers for personal stuffs, no curtains for the bunk bed, which is very wired. Room was not soo clean.
Super établissement. La cuisine est cependant un peu petite, et l’emplacement est plutôt excentré. Il faut passer près de la gare, où l’ambiance est un peu étrange
The kitchen is a bit small, however, and the location is rather eccentric. you have to pass by the station, where the atmosphere is a bit strange.
Overall a really good hostels for a stay in Hamburg. We stayed in a private triple room that had everything we needed and was clean. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere in the common areas light and pleasant. The area around the hostels in some side streets was a bit sketchy at night but the way to the nearest train station was fine.

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer. Sauber und ausreichend ausgestattet. Preis-Leistung ist unschlagbar. Lobby ist gut ausgestattet, um zu arbeiten oder sich abends mit Freunden mit Kicker, Billard etc. zu vertreiben. Wir werden wiederkommen.
We had a double room. Clean and adequately equipped. The price is unbeatable. Lobby is well equipped to work or spend evenings with friends with Kicker, Billiard etc. We will come back again.
Wachingmaschines are all broken!
Ich habe mich in dem Zimmer nicht wohl gefühlt, weil ich in einem Doppelbett mit einer fremden Person platziert wurde. Viele Mitbewohner wirkten obdachlos, weil sie ihren ganzen Hausstand mitgebracht haben und es hat sehr unangenehm in dem Zimmer gerochen. Mir hat es leider gar nicht gefallen. Die Lage des Hostels ist dagegen sehr gut.
I didn't feel comfortable in that room because I was placed in a double bed with a stranger. many roommates seem homeless because they brought their entire household with them and it smelled very unpleasant in the room. unfortunately I didn't like it at all. the location of the hostels is very good.
The reviews I read were all true! The hostel is not in a great neighborhood. It is so big it feels more like a hotel than a hostel. They shut the water off from 11pm to 6am so good luck trying to use the bathroom after a night out. You have to make your own bed when you arrive, and renting a towel is 2€. My bed didn’t have an outlet but it did have a reading light. There are storage lockers under each bed. WiFi was good. Some social atmosphere in the common area but not much. No planned even...
An sich für den Preis in Ordnung. Die Kaution von 20€ zum Ausleihen von Küchen Utensilien (auch nur zB für ein Messer) fand ich allerdings völlig überzogen... Aufzüge waren teilweise defekt oder haben viel zu lange gebraucht.
The deposit of €20 for the rental of Kitchen Utensils (also just zB für ein Messer) I found however completely overused... Lifts were partially defective or have been used much too long.
Fernseher hatte wirklich eine sehr merkwürdige Lage im Raum zwischen Bett und Fenster Mann konnte eigentlich nur von einem Bett aus Fernsehen gucken. Außerdem hatten wir eine undefinierbare schwarze Masse auf dem Fensterbrett und dem Fensterrahmen. Allgemein ist das Hostel auch sehr verwinkelt, da kann man sich schnell mal verlaufen.
TVSER had a really very strange location in the room between the bed and the window man could actually only watch tv from a bed. plus we had an indefinable black mass on the window and the window frame. generally the hostel is also very twisted, so you can get lost quickly.
Das Hostle liegt 5 Minuten entfernt vom ÖPNV. Ab 22 Uhr sind die Türen zu es muss an der Rezeption geklingelt werden. Man kann selber einchecken, bei Damenschlafzimmern muss aber ein MA zum Terminal kommen. Bettwäsche lag auf dem Bett welches selbst bezogen wird. Die Lobby ist gut ausgestattet, es gibt kostenloses heißes Wasser, verschiedene Automaten, großen Fernseher und mehrere Fahrstuhl günstig ganzes Gebäude. Ich persönlich störe mich immer nur an den anderen Gäst...
The hostel is 5 minutes away from the public transport. From 10 pm the doors to it must be rung at the reception. You can check in yourself, but for ladies' bedrooms you must come to the terminal with an MA. Bed linen lag on the bed which is self-sourced. The lobby is well equipped, there is free hot water, various vending machines, large TVs and several Fahrstuhl conveniently throughout the building. I personally only bother with the other guests.
The hostel was great and clean. Parking is difficult and the elevators are slow, waiting a few minutes each time.
Visited during winter, hostel has a lot of self served services which is very good(such as self checking) though it's understaffed and same people have to assist the bar and the reception. My surprise was that I booked a female 6pax room and they gave me to sleep in a double bed with an unknown person, not even sure why a double bed is available at this room set. Cleaning could be better. Location very close to train station
