Zen Hostel Townsville

Je suis arrivée à 22h à l'auberge et c'était particulier de ne pas croiser de personnel. La cuisine n'était pas très propre et les tables en plastique pour manger bancales. Le quartier est bruyant (si vous venez vous faire la fête je pense que c'est sympa, mais ce n'était pas mon cas). Je n'ai pas aimé l'atmosphère générale de l'auberge mais pour une nuit pourquoi pas, le matelas était correct et c'était finalement l'essentiel.

Camas hundidas y muy incómodas (lo peor, dormir así fue terrible y terminé con dolor de espalda). Muchos bichos pequeños en la pieza, sobre todo cerca del refri y la basura (terminé con picaduras). Áreas comunes sin ventilación, con el calor se siente demasiado la falta de aire. Y ojo con el “estacionamiento”: no es del hostal, es solo en la calle.

El lugar es terrible, no lo recomiendo, lo peor de todo fue que la habitación femenina, tenía un tubo de agua gigante dentro, estaba situado encima de una una de los camarotes, sonaba todo el rato, pasaba agua por allí, en verdad desagradable, esa habitación está justo en frente del área común por lo que se escucha música y bulla todo el tiempo incluso había luces, el hostel no está para nada limpio.

the room was not very clean (lots of bugs on the walls and on the bed), and the towels left on the bed were a lil nasty to be honest. Few bathrooms and a small kitchen but nicely equipped. not so good, if it was cheaper than I paid it would have been fine homies

I would not recommend this hostel at all, the room smelt greasy and nasty and nearly every other guest was a pot head. There was a constant strong smell of weed and we felt uncomfortable there. Although there was good security (needed a key for the actual building and your room) the area was awful. Surrounded by homeless people and druggies, one of which was running around just outside the front door after being robbed. Although cheap, there is a reason! We went to a hotel the following day.

There’s lots of room for improvement in the rooms but Sarah the Brazilian girl at reception was a star and she was very helpful and kind during my stay.

Good check-in system, however there are no signs as to where the rooms are. inner courtyard was nice but smelled of weed. Our room was damp and smelled horrible. impossible to leave the window open to evacuate the smell during the night because the other guests were shouting until 2am with no respect for the others. Common areas are not filthy but they’re not clean, showers were mouldy and full of hair. The kitchen is small, not sure it is proportional to the hostels full capacity.

Great place to stay, good rooms and nice people. Sarah on reception is a gem - really friendly and helpful.

The hostel was nice and the vibe was good. The staff was nice and the girl at the reception Sarah was really helpful, professional and understanding. Definitely recommended.

such a lovely place to stay! Very helpful and friendly staff. I highly recommend it
