I had an unfortunate experience during my stay.Money was taken from my locker, which was quite disappointing. It seems that the locker system is not fully secure, as my locker could be opened with another key. That being said, the hostel owners were responsive about the situation, which I appreciate. They were polite throughout the process. Also lockers aren’t big to put any luggage. There are clearly areas that need improvement, especially regarding security. I strongly recommend improving the locker...
First of all, my intention is simply to provide honest and transparent feedback that may be helpful both for future guests and for possible improvements. I stayed at the hostel for eight days, having chosen it based on its very positive reviews. As someone who regularly stays in hostels, I value the social atmosphere and shared spaces that usually make it easy to meet other travelers. However, I was surprised by certain aspects. The access involves fairly steep stairs, and the entrance opens d...
The place smelled like cigarette smoke, and to make it worse, they were trying to cover it up with strong fragrances. The air quality in the public space was terrible. They either allow the guests to smoke, or the staff smokes themselves. Either is absolutely unacceptable. On the plus side, the bed sheets didn't smell strongly of scented detergents. Opening the bedroom window somewhat mitigated the air quality issue, but that would be difficult in winter with other guests around. Edited in res...
This is a nice hostel but as a female traveler… if I were to stay here again (& I would stay here again), I would definitely choose the female only room because it has a door. The mixed dorms are in a really large room without a door and with tall room dividers connected to the hostel entrance area (second floor). The bathrooms available for the mixed dorm are men’s and mixed. Really nice staff, comfy beds, lockers provided, & clean
Kind of a weird one, thankfully we booked a female room but the main area and different sections for bunk beds aren’t closed off, so it doesn’t feel very private, female room had its own room and keypad though. Also the main area smelt like smoke the entire time, I think because it was situated above their restaurant? Staff was super nice and accommodating, the common area is not situated in the same building, you have to walk about 15 meters to the side of the building, it’s a small room ...
From my experience, this is a different concept of a hostel. The facilities are new and the location, although not too far from the old town and transport, it’s ok especially if you’re looking for residential/calm areas. The hostel is next to a restaurant with a separated entrance, shared facilities in another room, no kitchen or actual spaces to socialise. It was clean when I get there and regularly cleaned throughout my trip. Friendly staff, one fridge for all. No kitchen. Lockers.
The biggest problem is that the entire room is filled with a smell of smoke, which seems to be drifting up from the restaurant downstairs.
Bit of a walk outside of town. No common area at all and only female only room has a door the other “rooms” were just nooks of one big room. Checking in was a bit difficult had trouble locating a staff member. But nice beds and lockers provided.
The hostel is very clean, the beds have curtains, individual lamps, and charging ports for devices. The mattress and pillow are comfortable. The hostel is located a few stops from the city center, and buses run 24 hours a day, so getting there is easy. There are quite a long staircase to the entrance, which can be difficult with a suitcase, but it's better to ask for help than to stay elsewhere. I would stay here again.
Excellent staff and very respectful owner. Good atmosphere from the from rooms. Some beds do not have a roof but are the reception itself

Very nice hospitality, clean hostel, no complaints
Exceptionally clean Hostel with a kind and helpful host. Would recommend staying there, especially since we've been to another hostel in Bucharest the night before.
Very good experience, perfect free parking, super good food and breakfast, very clean and new place, also very friendly and happy staff!
The hostel was super clean and the owner staff were incredibly accommodating . They also have a restaurant below them if you are hungry . Would come back next time I’m in Bucharest
Turquoise Hostel is very clean and safe. The rooms and common areas are cleaned regularly. The street it’s located on is also very nice, and the location is quite pleasant.
Comfortable, clean, and the friendliest staff. Thanks for a great stay!
Very tidy hostel and the staff was extremely polite and helpful!

I really enjoyed this hostel! I stayed in the women's dorm and found it was a great space for meeting people. It felt like a real community. The beds are comfortable and have curtains. The lockers are great, too. The staff are super nice and have a strong sense of hospitality. The daily cleaning is fantastic! The only thing that was missing for me was a kitchen. But I have heard from repeat-guests that the hostel is very responsive to feedback, so perhaps this point will soon be redundant!
I stayed for 5 nights here and had an amazing experience ☺️ Firstly, the location is amazing. Very close to the city centre, but just far enough that you don’t have to worry about noise. The hostel is located on a quiet residential street, just a two minute walk from the main road. It is close to all the transportation you need to go anywhere in the city. The rooms (and the hostel in general) are extremely clean! The beds are comfortable and the curtains are perfect for added privacy. Ther...
Very close to city centre, clean and nice stuff. I will come back
This stay was AMAZING. I really enjoyed the sort of open air dormitory style and I definitely appreciated the curtains on the beds and easy access to plugs and a light. The staff was some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, they were very flexible when our flight came in late and were very accommodating! I also definitely recommend checking out the restaurant attached to the hostel, amazing food!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was forced to stay in a hostel, which scared me because I knew what to expect! But this place made a positive impression on me! Very clean rooms, modern showers and restrooms, beautiful design, comfortable beds! There is also a separate lounge with a large TV, accessible 24/7! Very attentive and polite staff! This place became my home for a while! I can confidently recommend it (considering the price of this hostel!)
I had an amazing stay here and highly recommend it! The hostel is extremely clean. It has comfortable beds with privacy curtains and bed lights/charging outlets. The bathrooms were also really clean and there were sufficient showers and toilets- I never had to wait to use them. Area is quiet, but central. The staff were so kind and helpful to me! I absolutely loved my time here and would 10/10 stay here again.
Amazing hostel near the boulevard. The staff was really nice, helpful and easy to reach by phone. The spaces were super clean and beds were comfy with curtains, there were also decent sized lockers with built in locks. At night it was calm an quiet. There were also other young travelers to socialize with. All in all excellent value for price.
Modern, Extremely Clean and Trustworthy Place I had a great stay at Turquoise Hostel. Everything is very new, modern, and exceptionally clean — it’s clear that hygiene is taken very seriously. The rooms and common areas are well-maintained and comfortable, making the stay very relaxing. The owner, İsmail, is a very kind and helpful person who truly cares about his guests and is always friendly and supportive. The restaurant is also very good, offering both quality and convenience. The 10...
