It was a fairly average hostel with no real vibe. We found a bunch of empty coke bottles under our beds before we left too. It should be a lot nicer given the price point - and safer in the bedrooms? Those bunks are too hard to get in and out of with no railing to hold onto! I wouldn’t come here as a solo traveller

Excellent location and nice communal areas. Very small dorm rooms and not sure how they can be described as 'luxury pods' as it's just a curtain and doesn't even have a bedside pouch to put stuff in. The pictures used to advertise the rooms must be from a while ago as they're not as nice and the bathroom had mould in it. Its not good value for money - €50 euros per night for a 6 bed dorm - ended up leaving after one night and getting a private ensuite room in another hostel which was cheaper

Walk in price much cheaper than booking price. Do not recommend booking through hostel world.

I've travelled to 60+ countries and stayed in countless hostels-this one could be great, but staff ruined it. Rude, unhelpful, glued to their phones. I was ignored at check in, had belongings taken by cleaners with zero effort to help. I even saw them shout at a Spanish guest who struggled with English. Great location and good capsules, but totally wasted on staff who clearly don't want to be there.

Central location. Hostel amenities were okay, but it is not a social hostel. It’s more suited to the introverted crowd. No curtains on bunks, for limited privacy. Myrtle at the front desk may need more training in the hospitality industry. Her responses were minimal and she always seemed stressed with her duties. Not a very friendly staff member. It may be her first job in hospitality so I will cut her some slack! Overall skip this one much better options!

A mini fridge in a corner is not a kitchen. You can't cook in it. Long lines at breakfast and few places to sit. No door on shower. Water goes hot-cold-hot-cold and gets all over the floor. Noise travels through walls and floors late at night. Rooftop bar isn't open - why advertise it? $8 just to wash a load of laundry - doesn't include drying. Location is great, front desk staff was helpful. A frustrating stay. Listing is inaccurate. Minor improvements would help this place.

During my stay at Athens Backpackers, there was a fight that led to police intervention. This incident made me feel unsafe, and I decided to leave the hostel. Despite reaching out to management for a refund due to the disruption, my request was ignored. I would not recommend this hostel due to the lack of guest safety and poor management response.

Very expensive for what you get. Location is amazing and felt very safe, and staff were friendly. However it was extremely unclean. Sheets and blankets were stained and dirty. Bathroom was not cleaned at all before 6 new people checked into a room and felt very unsanitary. Rooftop bar looks nothing like the photos and the whole hostel is a lot smaller than it appears online. Kitchen is just a microwave and sink so you cannot cook meals. Breakfast selection was limited and not very fresh.

Bedrooms / showers were fine but walls are super think and no real environment to socialize. Rooftop is only open for a couple hours per day.

Nice hostel in a convenient location. The rooms are ok, bathrooms are a bit in the need of a refurb, the extractor fan was essentially useless. Didn't use either of the bars but they look nice and the staff were all friendly. No air conditioning in the rooms which I found shocking, it was getting a bit hot to sleep in late April, no idea how people will cope mid summer.

Everything about this hostel was great. Only the breakfast was below average.

LOCATION!!!! fantastic location. The staff were nice (didn’t spend too much time interacting). Nice breakfast was included. Only thing was the bathroom didn’t have great ventilation and there was some mold on the tiles. They did come clean in the middle of the day which got rid of it. Overall great value and super close to the acropolis!

Great stay. It was very quiet when I was there - which was ok with me. No formal activity organized by the hostel and rooftop bar was closed. But the facilities were nice and clean. Breakfast was good. And the staff were helpful with all my questions. It was a pleasant stay.

As per my experience during my 3N Stay, I could say that they need to improve the cleanliness in the room. It would be nice to have chairs inside the room, so that we could chillout before heading to bed. Also, please improve age and health selection for visitors.

Very convenient location and close to the Plaka and the "hill". Nice and quiet and decent accommodations.

Suuuper bien ubicado, pero tocaron días fríos y la manta no era suficiente. La toalla que ofrecen no seca. Las habitaciones de 6 son mini, pero están bien. Le faltan áreas para quedarse más allá de las habitaciones, donde poder sentarse con la computadora tranquilo. Tiene un solo espacio con unas 20 sillas

I dont write reviews normally, but would like to share my experience. On my last night, 3 people were in my dorm, who all knew each other, throughout the whole night, they were drunk, noisy, loud, to the point i couldnt sleep and didnt feel safe. however, i packed my stuff up quickly, went to the woman at reception, i told her my concern, she tried her best to get me another room, after 10 mins, she did her best and got me another room at short notice, (So if that lady if reading this, i never s...

Great home base for budget travel in Athens! I’ll definitely stay here again if I ever come back. Safe, clean, fun, and friendly (but with curtains to provide privacy in the dorms). Unbeatable location close to the major ancient sites and convenient to the metro. Neighbors include a convenient grocery store and several friendly cats. Bring your own padlock for the lockers if you want to leave anything valuable in the rooms!

A perfect hostel in my opinion. Clean, modern, professional yet comfortable. It's compact because of its location (which is in the heart of the Acropolis) but it's perfect for someone looking to spend all day outside and recharge in the evenings. Great facilities and vibe about the place. I'd recommend for sure

perfect location in a safe neighborhood. Good privacy in the dorms and cozy place to sit during breakfast. that way you get to make friends easily.

Very nice place. Easy to find. The location is super. Next to Acropolis Museum. A lot of lovely places around to go. I’ll comeback again.
