PARA ESO PAGAMOS Y NO RECIBIMOS EL SERVICIO ADECUADO AL LUGAR.
- No me gustó que no hubiera comunicación accesible para poder haberme quedado la noche ahí tube que regresarme la misma noche porque no tenía donde dormir y el administrador le escribí un correo pero obvio seguro que no lo miro y tampoco hubo una línea telefónica al que pudiéramos comunicarnos.

+ The room we paid for was big and spacious (for 4) although were only 2 pax. That was it about the property, nothing more. This review may sound more like feedback about the host than the property, and that’s intentional — because the host is a major part of the guest experience here. I’ve since checked AI-generated reviews for this property based on various platforms this property is registered and was surprised how accurately they reflected my own disappointment. It may work for some travelers, but based on our experience, I would recommend considering alternative accommodations in the area.
- There are so many things that we didnt like about our stay and the host,. Many of those topics are forgiven and forgotten now. Unfortunately, our overall experience was deeply disappointing — largely due to the behavior and attitude of the host, Jeff. Having traveled extensively for over 35 years, I can confidently say he is among the most inhospitable hosts I’ve encountered. Poor Communication & Rigid Check-In Jeff is only available between 3–7 PM for check-in. Our transport to Niagara was delayed, and despite multiple messages requesting flexibility, we had to rush to the property with our luggage. His response lacked empathy, flexibility, or any sign of hospitality. Rude and Curt Demeanor Jeff's manner of communication was abrupt, inflexible, and borderline dismissive. He left immediately after our arrival with minimal guidance. This was jarring, especially for a guesthouse supposedly known for its local insight and friendly hosting. While some reviews mentioned he was informative, we received only basic directions, and any follow-up questions were brushed off with "I don’t know" or “you should check there.” This was unexpected, especially as there was no language barrier or communication issue on our part. No Support for Luggage After Checkout Despite paying a premium compared to other Niagara stays, there was no flexibility to leave luggage after checkout. Jeff flatly refused and didn’t even suggest alternative storage options in the area. The focus was entirely on policy and payment — not on service or guest convenience. Lack of Amenities The house has a pantry, but not even drinking water is provided. There’s a fridge and one coffee machine, but no real sense of hospitality that you’d typically find in hostel-style accommodations. No bath soap or shower gel was provided. Limited Location Convenience Be aware that the property is not close to restaurants, convenience stores, or major attractions.

- The owner was extremely unprofessional and unresponsive. The property lacked even basic amenities such as soap, towels, and bathroom mats. The building itself was quite old and poorly maintained, and the staff were also notably rude.

- The owner is blatantly dishonest. After confirming a non-refundable booking, I received a message stating that a late check-in would incur a $20 fee — a condition not mentioned anywhere in the House Rules or booking terms. If there’s an extra fee, why isn’t it disclosed upfront? I informed the owner two days in advance that my flight would land in Buffalo at 6:45 PM and that I’d head straight to the property. He replied expecting me by 8:30 PM. I kept updating him with my real-time ETA from the Uber app, which showed an arrival of 8:31 PM. When I got there — the place was locked, and the owner was out at dinner. I had to wait outside for 30 minutes. As for check-out: the property provides no option to store luggage after the 11 AM checkout. Yet, multiple reviews clearly mention that the owner had allowed guests to leave luggage in the past. When I asked for the same courtesy, I was rudely told “that’s no longer allowed” and that it was stated in the house policy — which is a complete lie, because it’s mentioned nowhere. If that policy has changed, why hasn’t it been updated in writing? The owner's hostility and arrogance were worse than the policy issues. He was dismissive, unhelpful, and even refused to answer basic questions. His attitude alone made the stay feel hostile and uncomfortable. About the room: Bed was extremely noisy, creaking loudly with the slightest movement. No fan in the room. The shelf that looked like a locker had no way to lock it . The only positive: the place was clean and in a good location

The location was good. The bed in the female dorm was uncomfortable. I was not able to sleep the first night. I had checked into the hotel around 7:40 pm. He charged me a $20 late fee for late check in. The thing is that I was planning on getting there a day early and my train was supposed to get there around 4:30. He said it would be better if I checked in after 7:30 on Tuesday. So I changed my schedule and arrived a day later after 7:30 and he charged me a fee. Not coming back here.

I was there during a cold spell in Winter. The owner picked me up at the train station! The room was warm and cozy…very comfortable!

It doesn’t deserve the current rating at all… yes the bedroom and shower need a bit of renovation but the host gives great advice ( just arrive on time when checking in??!! Or communicate like a basic human ) the location is great for the falls and big kitchen to cook. Its a decent 8-9 for an US hostel , good price as well
