Hostel had so much potential to be great with their location and facilities, but the staff made us feel so uncomfortable from the outset. Breakfast couldn’t be eaten without constant staring from the staff wanting us to hurry up even though we’d only been sat 10 minutes. The rooms and facilities were clean and very lovely as well as the breakfast being delicious and good for vegan however the staff were the rudest people I have encountered in Ecuador. Not a friendly greeting or any smiles from any staff members, although breakfast was very good food the staff member who cooked it would not stop staring at me as I ate which was incredibly offputting and we were well within breakfast hours. Good place to do your day trips from, but its got a hotel atmosphere, no community vibes, maybe because there is no real common room. Everything was nice and clean, kitchen well equipped (bring some oil!) and the rooms pretty and clean. But the policy is unnecessary strict, you have to pay for every single bit. Breakfast was nice at some days, they have different "meals" and sometimes we were still hungry. Not a bad place to stay though, but also not really a place to be.

Very clean and spacious rooms with large shared bathrooms. This is a guesthouse rather than hostel so really isn't very social. They offer tours and activities but from looking round, not the best priced or best quality. The bikes are very tired. We also got charged to take a shower after checkout and were not happy for us to stay in the hostel before our bus.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and there were nice shared spaces. Unfortunately there wasn’t any hot water and no one around to ask when we were getting showers but I think they turned it on after we told them, but we had already showered at this point. The bed sheets had some hair and blood on the first night - but still seems washed, just maybe the washing machine had been too full. The second night everything was much fresher so I’m sure it was a one off.

Nice clean place with spacious room and comfy bed. Lots of info for activities. We didn’t have the breakfast included. The walk was long and it was up a hill. The water was not very warm. I felt a little uneasy in the hostel. Not comfy. They come into the room everyday which I found weird even though they weren’t cleaning it. The staff here are amazing, especially the receptionist. She speaks excellent English but is super helpful in practicing Spanish and helping out a gringo-who’s-trying like myself! Location is good, slightly out of the main centre but close to some major hikes. Vibe is pretty quiet. Altogether good value. Breakfast is also great - best fried eggs I’ve had on these travels!

Chambre très propre, literie très confortable, espace commun invitant, gérante et ses enfants sympathique et avenant. Le seul petit bémol pour la chambre supérieure avec salle de bain privative : odeur d'égout après la pluie. Cependant un peu de Palo Santo brûlé pour couvrir l'odeur et le tour est joué.

A relaxed stay at an intimate hostel with a lovely garden to chill in and opportunities for socialising. Huge shoutout to Joanna who absolutely makes the place - what a beautiful, caring and super hardworking person. Nice and varied breakfast, comfortable bed, big clean bathrooms. Can arrange activities through them and get advice for the area. Easy walk to the centre while being far enough away for peace and quiet. Some waits for bathroom and noise travels easily with such an open layout.

Me encantó la casa del molino. Está en un lugar callado pero también cerca a todo lo que tiene el pueblo de Baños para ofrecer. La señorita Elba fue excelente en ayudarme con todo lo que necesité en el viaje y asegurar que mi quedada en el hostal fue fantástico. No te arrepentirás de quedarse aquí!

Amazing place to stay. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. We had a bit of a tough time with a late bus arriving in banos and my phone died while trying to communicate this to the hostel. They were gracious and friendly with this situation, and truly improved our stay in the town. The activities from the hostel are affordable and great, and the fact the hike to the virgin del agua Santa is right out the front door is awesome. 5 stars all around thank you!

Super établissement à Baños ! Cuisine bien équipée et petit déjeuner délicieux et consistant 😊 Films et vidéo projecteur à disposition. Le personnel est vraiment super et a de très bons goûts musicaux 😉

Very good experience. The rooms were very clean and the staff kept the bathroom nicely clean. I loved the omlette day for breakfast and the free coffee. A nice place and very helpful staff. We rented bikes from them for the waterfall tour on bikes. One key to be aware of is this is a 10-15 minute walk uphill from city center so you have to be prepared to return to the place going uphill.

This hostel saved my mental state on this Ecuador trip. I messaged 6 hostels for travel advice and this one was by far the most communicative and invested in making sure my trip went well. At all hours they replied quickly. The property was very cute right next to a trail with a nice view. Hot showers and one of the best free hostel breakfasts ive had. You could not convince to ever stay anywhere else in Baños. Would have been a very different more unpleasant trip without Johanna Elba and Jimmy

I can not give La Casa Molino Blanco a high enough rating. From the minute you walk in you are treated like family. The owners and staff go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. The rooms are comfortable and spotless with an attention to detail that leaves you everything you need. He security also made me feel great a a solo female traveler. Thank you for hosting me.

Can’t fault this hostel at all, seemed a little on the pricey side when we booked but worth every penny. Fantastic breakfast and they mix it up each day too. Lovely hot shower and bathrooms spotless, they are cleaned regularly throughout the day. The staff are welcoming and friendly and help you with queries. It really is not far too walk too either it’s just 5 mins away from the centre and is located right at the bottom of the steps to hike up to casa del arbol.

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber.

Unfortunately, we only had time for one night but we really enjoyed the place and it‘s lovely hosts! We can totally recommend the breakfast, it‘s all made with love! There are towels, good showers, a kitchen and a small bar :)

Staying here is like staying with friends who are caring about you a lot. Staff is incredible, they take time to chat with you, support you with trip planning and everything else. The room & bathroom were very clean & comfortable + the atmosphere in the garden is really nice. It’s quiet, you can relax for hours in the hammock watching birds & clouds passing by. The breakfast was very diverse, everyday another highlight + always fruits and fresh juice. Not even 10 min easy walking to the center...

The good - Warm and friendly staff, very satisfying breakfast with (variations everyday), large room with a luggage storage area. The could be better - Outdoor signage could be clearer to help locate the entrance, bathroom needs shelves for placing products like shampoo / toothbrushes, room lighting could be better in the storage section.

Lovely hostel if you’re looking for a chill few days in Banos! Joanna was lovely and made great breakfasts. Can book activities, cinema room, really clean, comfy beds, warm, big kitchen. Really great. Not the most social when we were there but if you’re tired from hiking the Quilotoa loop (like us) then this place is perfect :)

My stay at this hostel was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely dedicated to making every guest feel welcome. The customer service truly stood out and made the whole experience special. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas were well-maintained and perfect for meeting other travelers. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and very inviting. Overall, a great place to stay. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back!

Loved this hostel! I came here after Cotopaxi and it was the perfect quiet spot to rest and recharge. It’s family-run, with such a welcoming feel, and the free breakfast in the morning was great. Easy walk to town and a really nice place to relax. I was there during the slower season so it wasn’t very social, but they still offer plenty of good activities and tour
