- The accommodation what they showed in picture and the reality is not the same room very bad smelly and the staff was unfriendly. She was very rude. She don’t even give me a place to charge my phone and they’re not very friendly with the client. The lady was very unprofessional.
+ Friendly staff and only a short walk to the beach.
- Hostel has great potential, however the entire place and experience was lacklustre. Minimal healthy food options and cleanliness wise it was pretty average. Rooms aesthetic could be improved with a bit of minimal TLC. Got bitten badly by mosquito's. Private room on the first floor felt like a sauna even with the fan on.

My room had bedbugs, so yeah wouldn’t recommend..
We are unsure how this place is so highly reviewed along with the others in our dorm. The free dinner and social areas are great but there were ticks/fleas in the mattresses. We switched beds and they were still there. Informed management which they just blamed it on the cat and sprinkled some powder. You guys need to actually get new mattresses as the bugs don’t just go away. The cleanliness overall wasn’t great.
The hostel was not clean at all.. Damp Beds plus mosquitoes and bed bugs made it worse
Estoy basando mi experiencia de acuerdo a otros lugares en el país SRI LANKA, los primeros 2 días no hubo agua caliente en la regadera, el tercer día ya funcionó, pero en el lavabo no existe agua caliente ASÍ que me rasure con agua fría, las sabanas están tan pequeñas que no cubren el colchón, no te dan toalla, el A/C solo funciona en la NOCHE y durante el dia lo apagan a las 6 de la mañana, cuando más calor hace no hay A/C, en otros Hostales en el mismo pais a menor costo te incluyen...
I'm basing my experience according to other places in the country SRI LANKA, the first 2 days there was no hot water in the shower, the third day it worked, but in the toilet there is no hot water SO I shave with cold water, the savannas are so small they don't cover the mattress, don't give you a towel, the A/C only works at NIGHT and during the day they turn it off at 6am, when it's hottest there is no A/C, in other hostels in the same country at a lower cost you include breakfast
Disappointing
- I booked a bed in the AC dorm but AC wasn't available. The staff had mixed up a booking where as a boy slept in the Girls dorm. The staff looked clueless. There was a big dead rat in the dining area but staff wasn't bothered to clean.
I think they had bedbugs.. very dirty :( I would not recommend going there and I can not understand the good reviews to be honest.. they left the windows and doors open for longer times in the evening so many insects could go inside… the family dinner was good but barely enough for everyone :( I had good breakfast tho.. Other hostels in Sri Lanka were so much better for the same price

This hostel is amazing! Everyone is really nice with everyone. They have free dinner for everyone every night and they let me leave my luggage for 2 weeks there while I was traveling. Totally recommended 👌🏻
Quite good hostel, no real vibe, but I was there end of April so maybe that’s why. But staff is helpful and location is super close to the beach
Lovely hostel with plenty of social spaces or to chill. Free family dinner every night is great gets people together. Very helpful and kind staff, can always find someone on reception. I had a safety scare outside the hostel and I was helped instantly so I could enjoy the rest of my stay, very grateful for the staff. Rooms are basic but clean and have enough space to put your stuff, kitchen for use as well.
Really good hostel, comfy vibes
Super social but not crazy party, I met people here that I took the train with to Weligama! The owner and I also talked about the upcoming Vipassana that I was doing, so he offered valuable advice there. They have food on site & are close to the beach. I arrived around 2:30am and they were able to accommodate and check me in. The AC in the rooms doesn’t work, so it is so hot, but I loved my stay here besides that. Would absolutely come again!
+ Great stay in Colombo. Great roof terrace to chill out on or play a game of scrabble. Family dinners every evening and the beach only a 5 minute walk away!
Love the family diners, traveled with a group we met during dinner to the south

cool hostel, the big dorm is surprisingly spacious
Ok hostel for one night if you are looking for somewhere to go after a long travel day, beds need upgrading, they are very old and do not provide much privacy! Very social hostel, met some lovely people who I ended up travelling with to the next location!
+ Close to beach , friendly owner who gave nice advice about Sri Lanka and the places we wanted to go.
- Rooms very basic and too expensive for a luxury room. Highest prices of our whole Sri Lanka stay for room that was not worth it, no breakfast. If you can skip Colombo that will be the best. Pictures of hostel are not what is is in real

nice rooftop area, AC was automatically switched on in the evenings and switched off in the morning so if you're in the room during the day it was very warm. family dinners were lovely

Great stay. Friendly, helpful hosts and great guests. Large spacious rooftop with cushions and hammocks. Nice room with AC. Tasty family dinner included. Cold beer for sale. Great location near to beach and station.
