Hospederia Sol Del Desierto

Not what you expect from a hostel. They’re under construction and some of the construction workers were sleeping in the dorm. Female toilet doesn’t have a seat. The people working in the hostel are friendly, but there are no vibes at all. When I booked hostel world showed that there would be other travellers but there were non. I feel like everyone could just walk in and there are no lockers. Kitchen is fine tho.

A basic hostel close to the village which is handy. The host charged us quite a lot for water even for breakfast when breakfast was included. We also did a tour with the hostel to the desert which was more expensive than others advertised (although the tour guide was really nice)

I did not have a pleasant experience at this accomodation. I booked a hostel bed and arrived at 21:30 (reception was open till 22:00). Looking back, I’m guessing that they thought I may not come and made double reservations, because I was put in a random room in their family house one block away from the hostel. The door couldn’t close (the door literally wouldn’t fit), there was a lot of loud noise & the pillow and bed were not good. The next morning I confrontes them and we sorted things...

la piscine est top. mais on est plusieurs à s’être fait volé de l’argent dans la chambre… pas de réaction de la part de la dirigeante de l’hotel.

DON’T use their recommended taxi driver! Yes he was nice however extremely dangerous driving, we drifted because he went around a corner so fast! Which still didn’t slow him down! Hostal itself was clean, no atmosphere though.

Ein seelenloses Hostel, die Ausstattung ist Basic, der Pool nicht gepflegt, das Personal nett aber wenig hilfsbereit. Für Allergiker gut zu wissen, es gibt eine Katze die über alle Betten springt und öfters in Betten schläft.

Very very hot in the dorm (no ac) You have to wear a swimming cap for the pool and if you don’t have one you have to buy one (if mandatory it should be free to rent) Very empty and staff not around Did the job for one night

Dorm is very basic, clean beds but floors less so. Private rooms seemed better. Staff on the other hand was very helpful (offered to pay for the museum entrance when my tour was a bit delayed!) and made great breakfasts.

non ci sono armadietti per i viaggiatori, almeno nel dormitorio, e la porta rimane aperta tutta l notte La stanza ha una temperatura veramente alta, non credo che sia sufficiente per tenere al fresco 10 persone piscina carina personale gentile

Recently renovated and the staff were so kind. A really great hostel, and everyone is on the same vibe. The desert is very close and the hostel can arrange a tour for the cheapest price I was able to find.

Todo fue perfecto en este hostal ☀️ El personal es increíble, especialmente Ilda, siempre adorable, amable y con una gran sonrisa 🩷 La ubicación es ideal, la piscina es genial y hay ventiladores en el dormitorio, lo cual se agradece mucho. No puse más estrellas en el ambiente porque el hostal estaba casi vacío por la temporada baja, pero eso lo hizo muy tranquilo y perfecto para descansar. También recomiendo el tour al desierto de Tatacoa con el guía Félix 🤙🏽

Sehr nicer pool. Keine Schließfächer. Dormroom steht den ganzen Tag die Tür offen. Es ist eigentlich eine Garage, die sich extrem aufheizt. Viele Ventilatoren stehen zur Verfügung. Frühstück inklusive und war gut. Dusche hat nur kaltes wasser. Um hin zu kommen ist es am sinnvollsten in Aipe auszusteigen, mit dem mototaxi zum Fluss zu fahren und dann mit der Fähre über den Fluss (15000cop p.P) dann nur noch 5min. zur Unterkunft laufen. Nicht über neiva fahren!!! Dauert viel länger

Todo fue muy bien. Quería tranquilidad y fue lo que encontré porque el hotel estaba vacío. Las chicas de la recepción son muy amables y el desayuno muy bueno. Lo recomiendo.

Muy cómodo, limpio y la atención muy buena

Das Hostel befindet sich NICHT in der Wüste, sondern in der Stadt Villavieja. Durch die verlinkte Karte auf website , die und in die Wüste geschickt hat, sind wir abends mit Motortaxis fälschlicherweise in die Wüste gefahren. Tour durch die Wüste mit dem Hostel war super! Dorm ist basic aber aber voll OK.

Do NOT follow the map it takes you into the desert and the hostel is not in the desert it is in VillaVieja. Otherwise great stay and the most helpful guy working there who organised an amazing tour of the grey and red desert for us. Good facilities, easily cooked dinner. Breakfast was okay, could of done with some fruit but it was free so can’t complain

BE AWARE. the location on the map is wrong. the hostel is NOT in the dessert, but in the town. the hostelitself was fine. it was clean. the breakfast was ok. The tour by the host for 50 per person was great. you get to see parts of the dessert, which you would not find on your own.

El mejor hostel de Villavieja, un desayuno muy rico, una piscina perfecta para relajar despues de un tour en el desierto con el mejor guia Alex!!

hostal muy céntrico y con personal muy muy simpático y hospitalario. Muy recomendable!
