Really bad. First room we were shown smelt really bad. The other room we stayed was really dirty, the bathroom was falling apart, no toilet paper and the shower was broken. All the furniture in the seating area was filthy. The rooms were located against a main road and it was so very loud. All in all, a terrible experience
I recently Stayed here again, Dec-2024. I stayed a month 2 yrs. ago. Hostel Lao is under new Mgmt, I travelled to more than 40 countries and hundreds of hostels over 25 years, Hostel Lao is one of the worst I've ever been to! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! They have no lockers, no locks on the dorm rooms, local live there and use it as a crash pad. My brand new $100 razor was stolen from there. They don't have enough bathrooms for the guests, 1 bathrm,no toilet paperorhot water/ shower plugged!
+ Não recomendo este hotel para os brasileiros! Diária cara em comparação com outros locais que existem na cidade de Mendoza. Passamos somente uma noite no local.
- Saguão do hotel, corredores, escadaria estavam sujos, poeira. Minha esposa caiu da escada por resbalar de um degrau devido ao acúmulo de poeira que havia no local. O café da manhã é muito ruim, serviram, uma média luna, pão seco, suco de laranja de pacotinho, café com leite e acabou. Péssima experiência neste local.

This booking was lat minute as our bus was cancelled due to a storm, and it was close to the bus station. It was difficult to find and there was no staff when we arrived and we were locked out. The staff were nice but confused about the booking, even when showing our booking on hostel world. The private room was not clean and smelt of smoke. The private bathroom was also not clean.

- Las almohadas y los colchones, viejos y deformados. Día de mucho calor en la habitación no estaba el control remoto para encender el aire acondicionado, demora en encontrar uno
+ El estacionamiento cerrado, la amabilidad del personal y la cercanía del centro de Mendoza.
- El baño estaba sucio, la habitación era pequeña, el desayuno era muy poco y sin variedad.
I was hesitant to write this review, but I feel like it needs to be said. Hostel Lao was a very poor experience. I arrived to find both our shower and toilet broken, and to a room that smelled like mold and mildew with a stained mattress. I had to ask twice for sheets, and was given a couple ratty sheets that didn’t even fit the mattress. The shower in the other room was working, but didn’t have a shower curtain, causing water to spray everywhere and soak the floor. Dogs were barking bo...

+ La ubicación
+ La habitación era cómoda. El estacionamiento cubierto super importante. Buena ubicación para ir al centro caminando. El desayuno buenísimo. El personal muy amable.

+ El Hotel está muy bien ubicado de fácil acceso a restoranes y lugares céntricos. Pudimos llevar a nuestra mascota sin problemas, (si bien es muy pequeña Chiguagua). El desayuno es abundante y muy rico. El lugar muy tranquilo, sin ruidos, ideal para descansar. La cochera cerrada excelente.
- El único problema que presenta es que tiene muchos desniveles y escaleras y no cuenta con ascensor. Complicado para personas con problemas de movilidad

+ Um ótimo espaço em hotel, com custo-beneficio interessante e bem próximo do centro de Mendoza. Recomendo.
+ Die Lage des Hotels war sehr gut - zentral und trotzdem ruhig in einer Seitenstraße. Die geräumige Garage hat uns positiv überrascht.
- Das Zimmer war schon ziemlich abgewohnt und beengt. Es gab leider keinen Aufzug, sodass wir unsere schweren Taschen die Treppe hoch schleppen mussten. Das Frühstücksangebot hätte gern etwas reichlicher sein dürfen.
