The beachhouse is a very beautiful place and we spent three nights there. The food was really good. However, the services are misleading, many of the things advertised on their website simply don’t exist or are not included in the price as stated. For example, snorkeling gear was not free, the yoga classes didn’t exist, and the “afternoon tea” never happened. Worst of all, the dorm where we slept had bedbugs (punaise de lit). We checked the reviews before booking and didn’t see any men...
the staff is super friendly but also super slow. Everything is in 'Fijitime'. so maybe in 1 hour, maybe today, maybe never. They provide many activities like Yoga etc. but actually it's never happening. There is just one restaurant and the food is not the best... the next bigger city is Suva; 90min from beachhouse.
The activities desk was closed on a Sunday so we could not use the free kayaks etc.
Solid hostel, the catch is the activities. You’re isolated so you’re reliant on them to do stuff. However, they’ve outsourced activities to a company called Base, who’s both a bit unorganized and unclear in what they offer, and exorbitantly priced. Want to take a surfboard out and muddle around for an hour at sunset? $60. Great food and staff though.
Overall not a terrible accommodation; however, there is not a lot of hot water, and the property is far from all cities so food MUST be purchased for an extra fee at the accommodation
Nice beach when it is sunny, not nice when it rains; leaves bark debris all over including a few cans bottles and old tuna cans, dangerous fir the feet. The staff made no attempt before or after the rain to clean up the beach or rake the leaves. The atmosphere was dull, everybody in their own little groups, the staff did nothing to motivate people to do any sports, activities or games. Boring. The wifi was poor or not available. Surf was not good due to weather, swell. Food was ok but same sid...
Really nice location directly on the beach. Good facilities, social & overall enjoyable stay. Only downside was certain members of staff who were very rude & abrupt
The location is great, and Fiji is beautiful, however, I was overcharged for different items and not given a reason why. I feel that we were nickel and dimed over little things. For example, they have a swing on their beach and I fell off the swing and broke my back because the swing wasn’t level- when I asked for ice, they charged me $4.50 for a little bag of ice. Really?? The owner is an Aussie guy who I wish I’d been a little more compassionate when I fell on his property and broke my bac...
The beach house was an okay stay. They did keep the shared bathroom and hostel space very clean. The breakfast was ok which mostly consisted of toast and tea/ coffee and papaya. No kitchen to cook your own meals so you had to buy lunch and dinner. The menu changed from day to day and offered 4-5 options. Fair pricing with most meals ranging around 20$ FJD. The water states that it is drinkable which is not true and may make you sick. A few people had a traveller’s sickness during our stay.
I enjoyed my stay at the beach house but mostly attribute it to the other people there! Definitely doesn’t compare to the islands and would’ve stayed there more if we could but you get what you pay for here. Almost missed our flight because none of the shuttle buses back stopped for us and most were full. Staff gave wrong information about bus times so definitely go EARLY when you are leaving and flag them down. Place kind of lacks activities but is very social. Dorms smelt bad and not the b...

The 6- bed female dorm is a good size with a fabulous outside ensuite shower/bathroom. Everything was clean and in good order. No AC in the room but I prefer that. Staff were all great, food was good and reasonably priced, lots of hammocks, superb place to relax for a few days.
The property was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The main downsides were the very hot and stuffy dorms, the fans were not very helpful on hot nights and not having any outlets in the room was very inconvenient. All our charging had to be done by the bar. There also were not enough lockers for the people in the room. There were only 4 for the 6 person dorm which is not ideal and the personal lights blind everyone in the room as there are no curtains.
Beautiful, beautiful property! There is no daily yoga and there are no paddle boards to rent, as I saw advertised. The surf “instructor” said that everyday was a bad day to surf and said no boats were going out, then I would see several boats go out but I was too “late” to accompany. Poor communication, beautiful property. Kind local staff, but the aus/ kiwi staff seem exhausted every time you ask a question
Absolutely loved this place. Staff were amazing, especially Ronnie.
Incredibly kind staff except for Bruce the surf rental guy. Very lovely location close to a surf break. Great place to relax and reset. Nice social atmosphere. All staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a good trip.
Clean, safe, a lot of activities todo, food, and staffs are super nice. Will come back again if i have a chance.
The activities desk was closed on a Sunday so we could not use the free kayaks etc.

We only had one night here (long layovet between flights) but really enjoyed our stay. Adorable, super relaxing and friendly, with nice facilities. It's not a huge, super fancy place, but was an excellent place to while away a day on a quiet beach. Would definitely go back!
We had an excellent time relaxing at the beach house for 4 days. The food and atmosphere were really good and plenty of opportunities for trips organised through the staff. Would love to go back.
My only complaint is that there were ants in all the beds
Great atmosphere, easy to meet people. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location, right by the beach. Public buses are easily accessible on the main road. It’s a great place to chill, also lots of free activities you can do (kayaking, volleyball). Dorms were spacious, and the communal bathrooms were always clean. My only gripe: we need more power outlets in the dorm rooms. A power strip could easily solve this :) Loved the time i spent here, I actually extended my stay twic...
Overall a great hotel. The food portions are really small, some guys needed two meals to be full.
Endroit exceptionnel ! Les dortoirs sont confortables et l’hôtel est chaleureux. Les plats du restaurant sont excellents
I had an incredible stay at The Beachhouse The atmosphere is amazing, and the staff are super friendly and always willing to help. The facilities are top-notch. I especially loved the pool bar and the hammocks right on the beach, which make it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The only small area for improvement would be a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the beds and adding some more affordable options to the menu. Other than that, everything was fantastic.
Absolutely loved it here. So much to do, went horse riding, snorkelling, kayaking, chilled a lot on the beach and met some lovely and interesting people. It was also easy to get here from Nadi but was kind of a guessing game on the way back!..

Loved my stay here! A mix of solo travelers, families, and couples. Met some lovely solo travelers and had a great few days here. Good food, will be about $20/25 per meal. Coffee shop on the road leading to reception. Dorm rooms were clean and everyone was respectful of the space! Great day trips as well.
Had a great time staying in the dorms… friendly guest, the ISASurf was going on with eight Polynesian island attending a surf camp… fun kids, coached y family… reef break right out front y boat. Rides away are ten breaks with a 20-30 minutes by a paid boat to take you out…
