+ The actual was very different from the advertising. Bad access on shingle tracks. Rooms accessed at a distance from car access. Not suitable for fit retired people. May suit energetic back Packers.

- החדר היה עם ריח טחב נוראי שגרם לנו לשיעול.הודענו לבעל המקום אשר לא התייחס כלל לפניה שלנו. הזמנו שתי לילות ועזבנו את המקום אחרי לילה אחד. הודענו לבעל המקום ועד היום לא קבלנו כל התייחסות ואף לא זיכוי כספי. הרגשנו שבעל המקום מזלזל בנו ולא ציפינו לקבל יחס כזה.
+ We enjoyed the Weka coming up to the door, & the native bush.
- No signage for where to book in - had to drive round in pouring rain trying to find the office. We stayed at Tui Cottage - Everything very dirty! Microwave so filthy it was unusable. Cutlery, utensils, plates etc - not clean. Rubbish bin & compost bin - dirty. Toilet covered in black mould. Water ponding right outside door to unit - we had to go out in rain & move rocks from around garden to allow water to drain away. We will not go back there to stay!
- Podría decir que nada, estaba poco iluminado y llegamos de noche y nos costó encontrar el lugar un poco. Cuando llegamos y queríamos pagar el contactes no servía así que tuvimos que optar por el método de pago donde nos cobraban un 2.5%. En la noche cuando fuimos a preparar la comida a penas y habían utensilios de cocina, el olor a humedad era insoportable y los bichos (unas moscas enormes y negras) estaba pululando por todas las estancias, sin contar que usar el microonda era insalubre. La habitación era grande, pero a duras penas y funcionó la calefacción, olía a humedad horrible y hacía frío. En la noche se escuchaban los ratones y casi que no pudimos dormir de la incomodidad y humedad del lugar. Salimos de madrugada y preferimos dormir en el coche antes que terminar la noche ahí y resultó más cómodo. DEMASIADO COSTOSO para lo que ofrece el lugar, sin duda no volvería a dormir allí ni en un millón de años.

+ Posizione piacevole immerso nella foresta
- La camera era sporchissima, le foto presenti non sono reali. C’era polvere accumulata intorno al letto e sugli arredi, ragnatele ovunque, peli capelli e unghie nel bagno. Il copriletto era lurido e l’angolo cottura presentava polvere, insetti morti e briciole. Muffa ovunque. Purtroppo siamo arrivati molto tardi altrimenti saremmo andati via. DA EVITARE!

- Solo traveller. The host said room was an add on sliding door no key. When the guests upstairs moved so did the room I was in. Felt like multiple earthquakes. The outside toilet was below and the light was on all night. Lit up the room I was in. Guests arrived late cooked and talked in kitchen just below the room I was in. The sliding door for solo female travelling did not close easily, did not lock and in case of disaster would not open easily even from part shut. Got multiple insect bites during the night. Did not stay long enough to comment on shower left at dawn. Car park down gravel path, very skiddy. Very bad experience all round.

- Hébergement vétuste, mobilier dégradé. Impossible d’utiliser le mobilier extérieur trop sale.

+ Good location as near to several sites worth visiting. Nestled within a rainforest which was really attractive.
- Exceptionally poor cleanliness. We stayed for 3 days & never witness any staff cleaning neither private rooms nor facilities. All domestic duties performed by volunteers that are remunerated with free accomodation. This does not work as the place is dirty & in desperate need of a thorough clean. Communal areas were never cleaned over the 3 days of our stay, including the kitchen! It is more suited for back-packers, but they would find it dirty too!! It is exceptionally poor value-for-money. Other cottages may have been different, but the Ruru Lodge Double Room with Privater Bathroom was a big mistake for us and did not match the reviews we read from previous guests.

- Het dak was lek terwijl het stormde, dus toen midden in de nacht mijn buurman opeens met pannen naast mijn bed stond keek ik wel even raar op.

+ The location is 100/10. I recommend this place. I would stay again.
+ I was staying in a shared accommodation and the facilities were really unclean, the shower was dirty and during the evening there was a leak from the roof!
