Das Nest Budapest

I have been through many hostels during my trip and this was the worst, I don't understand why the rating is so high. There was no atmosphere in the hostel, the people who attended were not sociable and the worst of all was having to sleep with a dog inside the room. I love animals, but the problem is that the staff did not ask anyone in the shared room if we were comfortable with the smell or if there was anyone with allergies (I was allergic!) I had to leave the hostel because there were no fr...

The check-in did not happen on time and the beds were not ready and was given to me later than promised. The staff charged me extra and did not have an explanation when I had asked. There were fans that did not blow any air in the room and it was exceptionally hot and was given a rude response when I gave a feedback at the reception during check-out.

The hostel bathrooms/toilets were dirty. The staff, who lived there also, didnt say anything most of the time to the guests. A staffmember was smoking in the livingroom. The hostel is on the 4th floor and because of that it was really hot in the room. There is no AC. We had to choose between warmth or really loud noises from the street, if we opened the window. You could not lock the room. There were safe boxes you can use with your own locker. Its in the city centre. A really bad experience.

The location is really weird and in very old destroyed building. By the way, there is no Hostel vibes inside. I also don't think that guests inside are tourists. Thanks God, I had only one night. The receptionist was very friendly.

A very cute place, but very small and quiet. Other guests were minding their own business and hostel did not propose any activity to engage them with each other. Pretty clean overall and cute decoration. Location was excellent!

- Difficile à trouver, aucun enseigne dispo pour reconnaître son emplacement. - Situé au 4 ème étage dans un ancien immeuble sale avec un ascenseur archaïque. - Il a fallu attendre un habitant de l'immeuble pour pouvoir y accéder. - les photos de chambres n'ont rien à voir avec la réalité, les chambres ne se ferment et pas de casiers disponibles. - fournir une serviette + une couette usées qui ont perdus leurs propre couleurs d'origine. - Une seule douche dispo pour tout l'hôst...

It was soooooo hot in the room that it was unbearable (and I’m Australian and used to heat). Ended up leaving after only 1 night. Hostel looked fine and would probably be okay not in summer.

Payment by cash only is not ideal. The room got pretty hot at night with the lack of AC/fan. There’s no locker in the room, either. There’s three security codes to get in, so it is quite safe.

Heel fijn hostel in de bovenste verdieping van een appartement. Voelde me gelijk thuis, prettige woonkamer en keuken. Ik was er nu maar een nachtje, maar zou dit hostel zeker weer kiezen voor een volgend (langer) verblijf.

One of my favourite hostels I have been to! It's very cozy, the people are kind and the location is perfect for exploring Budapest on foot.

Sehr versteckt, aber wenn man es gefunden hat eine angenehme, gemütliche Unterkunft.

My first time staying in a hostel and I was pleased with the facilities provided. The staff were kind and took care of the place nicely. Me and my boyfriend were staying in a mixed 6 bedroom downstairs. Beds were most part comfey ,a little bit hard but clean. The storage facilities under the bed were adequate but make sure you bring a padlock. Bathrooms/showers were cleaned and replenished often. Location: was a bit tucked away so make sure to keep your eyes peeled when looking for it.

O Hostel é maravilhoso, exatamente o que eu buscava. A equipe é super atenciosa e os viajantes que estavam lá eram muito gente boa, fiz algumas amizades! Quarto espaçoso, bom número de banheiros/chuveiros e uma cozinha absolutamente completa!

Auberge super cosy et bien située, le staff était très sympa et accueillant.

Leider hatten wir kein Warmwasser als ich da war. Dafür war das Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit und mit großer Leidenschaft dabei :)

Ein kleines sehr familiäres Hostel. Super Atmosphäre und total nette Menschen. Ich empfehle es jedem, der ein ruhiges Hostel möchte.

Graag geef ik een 10... De bedden zijn super, de staff en aanwezigen ook! Logischerwijs is het in een travelers buurt en daar weet de markt goed op in te spelen, Desalniettemin ligt dit niet aan het hostel/staff zelf en krijgen ze van mij een dikke 10! Dit hostel bevat alles wat een goed hostel hoort te hebben. Saamhorigheid, common area's en het is schoon! xx Jelle

Mooie grote gemeenschappelijke ruimtes. Goeie faciliteiten dichtbij. Het matras ligt ook niet verkeerd. Tevens ook sfeervol.

Very welcoming staff, great location, amazing services for the quality/cost ratio. Very recommended.

It’s just a stunning hostel. I’ve stayed in many but many are this relaxed and beautiful.

Das Nest was incredible. So cute and cozy and clean. We loved everything about our stay

I had a wonderful stay in the very cozy Nest. The staff was very warm and welcoming and I absolutely loved the cute shared space/kitchen. And the location was perfect for me, I could reach everything by foot or it would also have had public transportation nearby.

It is a small hostel with a spacious common area. The overall athmosphere is very calm but also welcoming and if you want you also meet nice people there! We would stay here again.

would recommend Das Nest - staff were friendly, beds comfortable, location ideal especially for nightlife. 1/3 showers was broken for the 5 nights we were there but otherwise facilities were clean and working. Common area/kitchen is cozy, big and equipped, but not super social. I’d note that there’s a smoking area in the loft so the place does smell like cigarettes sometimes and might be bothersome to some.
