Saigon Chill Hostel

This hostel was in an ok location, however you could hear the loud bars from the street in the dorms (we were on the top floor). The room was quite unclean and the aircon didn’t work. The breakfast was not the best

Don’t understand the high ratings honestly. Not clean and not very good atmosphere

AVOID, got my camera stolen there. Don't use the lockers, your keys can open them all.

Checked in + paid, our room had an ant infestation, leaking toilet & a live electrical socket under the shower head. We reported this to reception and they did almost nothing. They then told Hostelworld we hadn’t turned up due to “illness” (a lie) so that we couldn’t leave a review, despite us having already paid and stayed! Staff were rarely on reception where bags are kept so anyone could have walked in. Only positive was the location. We eventually left and found a new hostel.

Beware for bedbugs in this hostel! Got bitten all over. Bathroom and room are quite sober, the hostel is really dark, you need a flashlight in the stairway. Free breakfast is good and the personal is really nice.

Didn’t massively rate this hostel. The location is good in terms of central, but bad in terms of being near walking street which is grotty area. It smelt bad when we first arrived. And the bar area is a bit dark and dingy. For the price as well could probably find somewhere better.

Our room had no natural light and no ventilation. The bathroom was filled with black mold, floor to ceiling. The rooms were relatively clean however due to there being no ventilation if water was on the floor in the bathroom it would sit there until someone cleaned it up. This is mainly due to the area so can’t hold it against but you will definitely need earplugs to sleep. House music from the next door club played till the early hours.

Pretty poor hostel to be honest. Disorganised and not very social. Free beers are probably the one good thing. Everything else very average/poor.

I booked a private room and was super disappointed. The room and sheets were super dirty and I didn't even have a proper bathroom. You had to shower in this miniature bathroom, where the toilet was, and it felt super small. I asked for a change of the sheets but still came back to dirty sheets. Worse experience ever and I don't recommend if you're just ending your trip and need of a rest.

I have no idea where the people stayed who give the hostel a 9. I felt unsafe (everybody can walk in all the time, staff wasn't at reception most of the time), there was SO much noice from the street and a broken toilet that kept flushing, no atmosphere or common spaces. Much better places around if you want a social hostel where you can also sleep.

Perfect location, service and good breakfast. Very comfortabel bed, easy to make new friends and free beer every day! Good and friendly staff, especially Nini!!

The bed setup is my favorite. There is a lot of space to put stuff, hangers, mirror, so it feels like a little room. The location is great and the staff wil help with whatever you need. Nini was the best!

Normally I don’t really write reviews but this hostel was amazing! The beds in the dorms were great and included some space to leave your clothes and other stuff. It was very social were you could relax if you wanted or go party. The location is also very good. However, the reason I'm writing this review is because of the staff. The best hostel ever! My partner and I stayed in a private room for 6 nights and could’ve stayed longer. Our favourite part was the incredibly kind staff. We loved chatting to Win everyday and she gave us the best advice. Second best was the breakfast there was so many great food and drink options and Julie and Nini were lovely. Also was super social and we met so many cool people from all over the world while enjoying our free beer. Could not recommend more!!

Pros: free breakfast, 1x free beer per day, good location and vibe Cons: the bathrooms are terrible (the shower is literally on top of the toilets which makes the whole bathroom full of water when you take a shower, there were bedbugs on the beds adwe even had a small lizard on the wall of the bathroom when I checked in. the cleanliness and the facilities are not that good

Property was clean and in a really good location. The walking street is only round the corner but if you want a quieter experience it’s easily avoided. Nini and Win on reception were really helpful, giving good recommendations for places like food and day trips. Highly recommend.

I think the property is amazing. Has a really good outside area. People are always willing to chat and have a good time as you move forward into the inside of the hostel you get greeted with the lovely staff and the lovely owners. When showing to your beds, nothing more I can ask for honestly nice duvets pillows flushed to infinity. Bathrooms always clean it’s very spacious. Friendly Staff, Very Helpful Accommodating. Central Location, walkable to lots of places such as Walking Street and Vincom Shopping Centre. Shoutout to Nini and all the staff for making my stay great.

Great Hostel overall! It's not a party hostel and even though close to the party street, it's quite enough to sleep. Beds are great and comfy! Nice free breakfast and a beer voucher per day. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms are good. It's easy to socialize in the common area. Has some amazing food spots nearby!

Brilliant hostel and wonderful staff

This hostel is amazing, good location and clean. It' social and Win, the receptionist, gives the best recommendations on where to eat. I loved my stay here, would absolutely recommend!

Really enjoyed my stay here. Friendly staff, a great social atmosphere, and a nice breakfast included each morning. The location was very convenient, close to the centre of town with bus stops nearby. It is a little expensive for a hostel that mainly just offers the basics and doesn’t have many facilities, but it was clean, comfortable, and a great place to meet other travellers.

Location is great, near the bar street, and the staff are kind and accommodating especially nini at the front desk

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, you get free drink tickets for each day, and the room was very clean and the air worked great. I did a private room/ bathroom and it was great - the bathroom is a shower that drains near the toilet, so the floor can be a little wet but that’s normal in hostels. I was very pleased with the location, no noise keeping you up, great atmosphere - it was a great stay!
