+ The shower
- While I was staying in Viajero Quito Hostel it happened to me twice that I needed to wait outside in the middle of the night, one time for 40 minutes while it was rainning outside the second time which was the night after I was waiting for 15 minutes in the entrance meanwhile I got robbed by a homeless. After this I asked compensation from the hostel and they refused moreover they asked me to leave immediatly and talking disrespectfully. I can't describe how outrage am I for the experience in the hostel, I've been traveling for a long time it never happened to me. I use this plattform a lot and this is the first time.
+ Location
- The nosiest place I ever stayed in after traveling over 100 countries. The loud music was impossible to sleep through and was never dealt with by the staff. We spent 2 nights here and left sleep deprived. There was no hot water in the shower at all for all 3 days - again not dealt with by the staff. Not even told us when checking in! Quito can be cold and Cotopaxi was freezing so not having hot shower was big deal. The water was ice cold only.

It’s an absolute rip off. I’ve been to several Viajaro’s; this was the worst. It’s empty and for good reason. Their room prices are 3X higher than the next comparable hostel. A 330ml beer for $4US vs a 500ml beer for $3.50 at Secret Garden. Food is terribly priced. Staff isn’t knowledge about anything in Quito. Mgmt isn’t doing anything to improve the place. + Auschecken unproblematisch. Am 2. Tag haben wir von der insgesamt 4. angesprochenen Person einen Zimmerwechsel in ein Mehrbettenzimmer angeboten bekommen.
- Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Keller direkt über der Küche bekommen. Die Industrieabzugshaube des Burgergrills direkt neben dem dünnen Fenster hat das Zimmer zum beben gebracht. Schlaf war aufgrund dieser Lautstärke bis 12Uhr undenkbar. Um 6 Uhr gehts dann wieder los mit Frühstückszubereitung. Zusätzlich roch es aufgrund der nicht dichten Zimmer im Bad im kompletten Zimmer nach Burgerfett. Ein Zimmerwechsel war laut unterschiedlichen Mitarbeitern nicht möglich, erst als wir frühzeitig ausgecheckt haben, am nächsten Tag wurde uns ein Angebot gemacht.
At check-in they overcharged me DOUBLE the price & I’m still waiting to hear back about getting reimbursed. When I checked-in late at night, I found that someone was already in my assigned bed so I was told by reception to go back to the room & check other beds to see if any were available... Do you know how awkward it is to lift up each bed’s shade and shine your flashlight in on people just to see if that bed is empty, at midnight nonetheless?! So unorganized. Clean secure hostel with average amenities (kitchen lacked adequate equipment & was small). Staff were rude, not happy to help. The hostel floors & doors creak and crack so a good sleep is unachievable. Expected better from a Vajero hostel especially at $22 per night in a large dorm without breakfast, hot or cold drinks.

+ Die Lage ist zentral.
- In der ersten Nacht, nach unserem Flug war direkt neben uns ein Konzert. Die Wände haben gebebt, es ging nicht bis um eins, wie angekündigt, sondern bis halb drei. Danach wurd lautstark abgeräumt, wir konnten die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen.

Awesome value for money. The pods are very cool, even have two types of lighting. As usual Viajero doesn’t disappoint, will continue staying at their hostels when available. Only thing I missed was a kitchen, as the bar was quite pricey; and I wish it had been more lively but I get the atmosphere isn’t fully in their control.
Bit quiet, but for in quito a very nice stay
Huge private room, which was really well kept with everything you need! Highly recommend. One of the best hostels we have stayed in!
super Hostel, ich konnte mein Motorrad im Innenhof parken und die Ausstattung ist wirklich super. Die Übernachtung ist sehr günstig aber essen und trinken kostet dort dementsprechend mehr
Bâtiment historique, magnifique, au coeur du centre, ǰardin superbe et silencieux, ma meilleure auberge de jeunesse depuis de longs mois de voyage, dortoirs super équipés, intimité totale. Tout est parfaitement organisé mais la relation reste préservée, tout est fluide. Les bons équipements sont au RDV ! Je suis totalement étonnée de l'excellent rapport qualité prix, rien vu de moins cher en Équateur pour l’instant. Viajero Quito restera une référence pour moi dans cette vil...

- - the ground floor room has to be ventilated! Smell of humidity from the bathroom, but you can open the door opposite to the entry door. - pretty expensive for a hostel

It’s a great hostel, the showers are amazing, and they offer breakfast for $4 if you pre-book. I highly recommend it. It’s in the old downtown area, so it can be a bit unsafe at night.

+ The property is beautiful, and a lot of space, lots of rooms, modern and green space. Restaurant and communal area. Lots of friendly people around. Restaurant food and Brazilian staff member at the restaurant counter was lovely! Chef was accommodating to my vegan diet. We were able to use cutlery and bowls to make our own breakfast which was good. We could store our luggage safely whilst we were away. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful! The double room that was had was huge and the shower was good. I would definitely stay again because of how comfortable it is, but maybe not on a night when I have to be up early We could stay later after check out to sort out bags out ready for our next big trip There was a lock on the door of the hostel which made it feel safe
- There were events on which weren’t announced. The night was supposed to be movie night and bingo but it seemed to be karaoke afterwards. There was music going on until midnight in the communal area, which I thought was inappropriate especially as I noticed most people taking part in the karaoke seemed to be the hotel staff. We understand it’s a hostel which brings good vibes and guests may love that, but our room was super close to the communal area. They do have earplugs at the desk though which makes me think that the noise is a regular thing. On our second night however we’ve noticed it’s quiet so maybe we just had a busy night event on. Would be amazing if there was a kitchen facility
