Rembulan Langkawi

Unfortunately this hostel did not live up to the great reviews. Clean place but that’s all it has going for them. The aircon doesn’t really work and gets shut off from 8am-8pm. I had to WhatsApp the hostel every time I wanted to take a shower because they didn’t work properly. The room was also filled with mosquitos. Wasn’t for me and left a day early.

Reception is never there and when you call for the reception it takes a long time for them to get there. This happened with checking in, checking out and when we needed maintenance in the room. It seemed like no one was working there. No hot water in the showers. The walls of the rooms are so thin that you can hear everything happening in the hostel. We tried to have breakfast at 08:30 and the cafe was not open. Otherwise it took forever for the food to arrive, was expensive and bad.

À mon arrivée il n’y avait personne à la réception et personne ne répondait au téléphone. Au bout d’une heure j’ai finis par fouiller le bureau de l’accueil et par prendre la clé dans le carnet (super niveau sécurité).

Overall the stay was good. However the matress and the pillow werent nice. There is also barely space for the Backpacker. In addition, the bathroom was not clean.

Good for a few nights. Location only 5 min walk from town. No hot water in the shower and bedding needed updating. Staff were rarely at the property.

I would not recommend. Cold showers, you had to walk barefoot outside (no shoes were allowed) to get to the private rooms also when you came from the showers which meant that the floors of the rooms were always dirty, uncomfortable beds and the AC only worked at nights. The owner also had his friends over in the common area and his friends asked me several weird questions (for example about money) that made me feel really uncomfortable.

Breakfast is meant to be included but it wasn’t provided everyday. Lots of cats, one was let into the room at night and jumped onto one of us in the dorm bed, waking us up. Dorm room was loud at night as it’s next to reception / common area. Uncomfortable bed in private room.

Sehr schönes und gut gelegenes Hostel. Genügend Ablagefläche für persönliche Gegenstände im Schlafsaal sowie im Küchenbereich und Kühlschrank Platz für eigene Lebensmittel. Host bietet selbst organisierte Touren an, bei denen die Preise variieren (dabei wurden teilweise Leute ohne ihr konkretes Einverständnis gefilmt und auf Instagram hochgeladen), wir haben diese Touren aufgrund des unguten Gefühls nicht wahrgenommen. Die Rezeption sollte eigentlich besetzt sein, selten jemand da.

Ich war im Einzelzimmer, habe mich leider nicht wohlgefühlt, da viele Moskitos und Spinnennetze im Zimmer waren. Das Personal war allerding sehr lieb und verständnisvoll.

Nice hostel, I stayed in the dorm which had spacious beds each with a curtain. The chill area out front is airy and social. Lovely cafe next door for breakfasts and lunches. There’s a hostel cat who’s really cute! The hostel itself is really close to Cenang but doesn’t feel busy at all.

L'auberge est très bien située (seulement 5 minutes à pied de la plage). Le dortoir et les sanitaires sont pratiques et propres. Le personnel est très arrangeant. Je recommande !

J’ai prolongé mon premier séjour ici, et j’y suis même revenue par la suite. Je me suis sentie comme à la maison 😊! L’équipe de l’hostel et celle du petit café sont juste incroyables! Merci pour tout 🤩! Et bien évidement, les chats y sont pour beaucoup aussi !

Perfect chill hostel in a great location a short walk from the beach. Friendly staff and a great cafe next door. Clean and very comfy bed.

I have mixed feelings, cute and cozy place not too far from the beach. Quite nice but bare in mind the staff are very very laid back. I wasn't told about self check in so waited an hour in the lobby and called all staff members with no reply. There was cat pee in the room and the staff member said he would cmcmean but never did so I had to clean it. If you are looking for a chill quiet place then this is for you. Don't rely on staff to be there. If it wasn't for those issues ild give a 10.

very chill hostel not super social pretty decently clean too toilets were really clean just wish there were more hangers in the shower or can shower in the toilet room also would be good

A basic hostel on the beautiful island of Langkawi. The beds aren’t really comfy and the air con struggles to cool the room. The location is pretty good, it takes 10 minutes to walk down to the beach and the Main Street with lots of shops and restaurants.

Lovely hostel. Very homely. Very relaxed hostel with only a few rooms, staff always helpful and have great recommendations. Good for couples and solo travellers.

Ich hatte einen super Aufenthalt im Hostel und war insgesamt zwei Wochen hier, weil ich mich so wohlgefühlt habe. Das Hostel lädt zum verweilen ein, da es super ruhig ist nach einem Tag am Strand, man kann echt gut abschalten. Allerdings ist es daher im Hostel nicht allzu sozial, da es nur einen female dorm gibt. Die Hosts sind alle super lieb und helfen einem bei offenen Fragen.

Eine schöne Unterkunft um ein wenig zu entspannen. Die Atmosphäre war toll und es ist dort sehr sauber. Das Personal sehr zuvorkommend.

Bon rapport qualité prix, l’auberge est bien placée et le personnel très sympathique.

Nice hostel - clean, comfy beds. However, it’s not very social and the staff don’t stay at reception, you have to call them, so I can be hard to find them sometimes.

Me and my friend had a great time at this hostel! The people are super nice and the cafe next to it is perfect! I definitely recommend staying here. The cats are also super cute!

The hostel was veery quiet when I came and not the most social, but I loved how comfortable the dorm room was, with space to leave my bag at the end of the bed and lots of privacy (the top bunk could use a divider between the two bunks two). Especially loved the staff, they’re so lovely and always happy to have a chat! Ended up staying 5 nights there ☺️
